Drove by this place the other day so I decided to try and glad I did. I had the scramble me softly w/added sausage and my wife had the Benny on the rocks. My sandwich was delicious (eggs were perfectly fluffy). My wife's had delicious beer battered potatoes which crispy and definitely worth having again. Now I have to come back to try other menu items. First time at any eggbred location and me and my wife were very impressed! Michael the owner was very nice and offered us a sample of their amazing beer battered side potatoes and they were very tasty! I got the egg bacon and cheese sandwich and my wife got their scrambled sandwich. Both were packed with flavor! Their decor was very creative and the entire place was very clean as I saw employees wiping down tables after others were done eating. They also have breakfast burritos and even burgers for lunch! First time visiting this location. My suggestion to the owner Michael is to make the eggs fresh. I ordered an egg burrito and the eggs were pre-cooked. Very important for guys like me to have fresh made to order eggs. You have the grill to do this. Also I thought the prices were too high. These are just my suggestions and opinions. Thursday AM about 8:15. Almost entirely empty. Very much a "fast food" ambiance, albeit very clean and their food containers are very high quality. As clean as it is I was surprised that our feet were sticking to the residue of the cleaning products on the concrete floor. This is entirely serve yourself; order at the counter, pick up your food when ready, get your napkin and plastic utensils, bus your own table when done. No outside seating. Points off for having zero option for decaff coffee. None available, at all. I would rather have day-old coffee or airline decaff served in teabags with a cup of hot water than no decaff at all. Over 20 meal items on the menu covering a price range from roughly $10 to $18. I felt the price for the breakfast poutine and the cheesecake waffles were fair. The poutine was quite good and enough volume that I ended up taking some home to finish later, however, the temperature was not very hot at all. Wife liked the waffles. Hotter food temperature and decaff coffee availability and this could easily be a 4 or 5 star review. If I return, perhaps to try a burrito, it will definitely be with a cup of my own decaff coffee. read more

This place is phenomenal. The ambiance was great, food was higher in price but that's because the ingredients are quality so you definitely get what you pay for, and the staff was super friendly and professional. They comped our entire meal because it took like fifteen minutes to come out. Only fifteen minutes! I've had food that's worse and I've waited longer for and those restaurants never comped my food! I saw that EggBred had opened last week when I was having lunch at Campetelli's and stopped by today. Walked in and was immediately welcomed. Met the owner who was working behind the counter with his crew. I ordered 3 egg burritos, 2 prime rib and one bacon. All three were delicious and hearty. I'll definitely be back. read more

Disappointing. I was optimistic given reviews from other people in the recent weeks. We went this morning and ordered a breakfast burrito and a waffle. At the time of placing the order there were five people behind the counter working. Shortly after placing our order, they all seemed to disappear. After waiting in the dining area for 15 minutes, an employee emerged from the back area. I asked her when our food would be ready and she said "soon", and then proceeded to pull our burrito out of a warming drawer and handed it to me. I went back to the table and we started on the burrito, which was luke warm and below average. Five minutes later she came to the table with the waffle. It was clearly a toaster style belgian waffle with some toppings added to it - below average. Bill total was just over $40. Service and food quality were poor and did not live up to reviews. On a positive note, the dining area and restrooms were clean. Unfortunately, we won't be back. read more

I want this Eggbred location to do well. We started going to the Fullerton location when they 1st opened, and we stop by whenever we're re in the area. I was SO HAPPY when they finally opened the one in Brea. There aren't many good brunch spots nearby. So after trying the Brea one a few times, what I experienced was that staff is friendly. As for the food, their fried potatoes which are unique to Eggbred, are slightly undercooked at this location. The other location, they are crispy on the outside and slightly creamy on the inside. I usually get their blood orange juice and eggs Benny (their version of eggs Benedict without English muffin). It comes with fried potatoes, poached egg, chives, hollandaise sauce and arugula with truffle oil dressing. The blood orange juice at this location was quite bland. Not sweet or fresh squeezed tasting. Here the amount of Arugula greens in the Benny was minimal, wilted, yellowish, and so were the chives. Fresh generous greens finishes the dish nicely. Otherwise, the unfreshness is what you remember tasting. The other item we order often is the burger. The only thing would be to not overcook it too much. Also, tables need to be cleaned more often. We usually have to wipe them down ourselves. The place is relatively new so I hope quality control can be remedied quickly. read more
