I hardly ever leave reviews so soon after trying a place, but the experience wasn't great, so here we are. I've seen this place pop up on IG several times, so I decided to finally give it a try. We got 5 burritos for a whopping fucking $83. For $83, these burritos should've blown my socks off. Pick up time was 10:04, we were there at 10:04, and the burritos were just warm. Lukewarm at that. I tend to like my food hot. We also asked for them to be cut in half, they weren't. They placed labels on them, but they all fell off in the bag. So we couldn't tell which were which until we got home. The salsa wasnt good, the bacon was soft, the potatoes were soft, and the eggs were flavorless. We asked for avocado on 2 of the burritos, they only put it on one, and there was so much, it became an avocado breakfast burrito. It was literally splitting the tortilla. From the IG videos I really wanted to like this place. But I'll never go back there again

I just like getting my breakfast here when I get a chance. I order online or just come in. Staff is super friendly assisting you if you have any questions. Some of my favorite's are the bacon egg and cheese burger or the scramble me softly. Both really good. The breakfast burrito - bacon has been my go to lately. The crunchy of the bacon is so good and you cannot forget the chipotle sauce on the side. The hot coffee and orange juice are a way to go for drinks. They also do have a self serve water station. Seating is great you can either be indoor or outdoor. Definitely check it out for your next breakfast.

There is no reason not to like this breakfast spot. I had: 1. Scramble me softly 2. Avocado toast with Soft Poached 3. Blood orange juice 4. Beer bartered potatoes

What's up: Meeting up with friends and what better place to do so than at a food hall where there are plenty of food options to choose from? Time to check out Rodeo 72! Parking: They have a dedicated parking area around the building. Depending when you go, it can be packed. Some of us ended up parking in the Whittier Marketplace nearby and walking over. There are also a few EV chargers at the Rodeo 72 parking lot. Environment: Located inside Rodeo 72, Eggbred can be found near one of the entrances/exits. They have a nice photo wall with a fried egg shaped as a toast with the quote "Always look to the Sunny Side". Kinda cute! Place your order at the counter and wait for your food to be ready; they will text you. Menu is located overhead. There are a few tables nearby for seating or you can go further into the food hall to look for other seating options. What was ordered: - Breakfast Sausage Burrito (I know, they're know for the egg sandwiches but I just love breakfast burritos lol. Burrito was pretty good with the salsa) Yay/Nay/Meh: Yay. The wait was a bit long, but the staff who took my order was friendly. Food was pretty good too. Credit cards and Apple Pay accepted.

I've been wanting to try this place. So let's see if they're pretty good eh or ew. I got their biscuits and gravy, chili Mac, carne asada chilli chopped cheese, and carne asada breakfast burrito to try. The biscuits and gravy had a rich, savory, cheesy gravy smothering some pillowy, fluffy, buttery biscuits. The chili Mac was super comforting and had a good balance of super rich, thick chili, and gooey, cheesy mac. The carne asada chilli chopped cheese had super buttery crispy sourdough bread and was filled with sweet soft caramelized onions, tender meat, tangy rich creamy sauce, and savory cheese. Pure deliciousity. The burrito was MASSIVE and had a but ton of fluffy buttery eggs, tender meat, a bit of avocado, and savory well seasoned potatoes wrapped in a super tender chewy tortilla. Super rich but luckily it also came with a bright, slightly spicy, acidic, red and green salsa. Things here do kinda get heavy and are pretty rich but is still lowkey pretty good. Biscuits and gravy $6.99 Chili mac $5.49 Carne asada chili sando $12.99 Carne asada burrito $17.99

This is now my third time and my experience was much better than my last. This time around I ordered a bacon breakfast burrito and it was delicious! I recommend the potatoes, those are a fav of mine. I also got the opportunity to try the orange juice recommended by the manager and it was great! I got my food at a decent time and it was not burnt. I will be back.

First off, tucked right at the opening of the building is a vibe with a photo opp and some couches. It was a quiet early morning so I didn't was covet a party. The staff seemed welcoming, busy and attentive as my order was a call in. As for the food, I ordered a variety of items to try... let's go for the things I will come back for.... Blood Orange juice was top tier and the Chorizo Chili on its own was amazing to me. The Nashville hot would prolly rate as my next best, didn't get the heat til I got towards the bottom where the real flavor was and coulda hoped for a little more crisp but that's knit picking. Not the best I have had but above average. Chopped Cheeseburger and Breakfast sandwich were just ok... fell short of any type of hype. Lastly the potato hash style joint just wasn't it for me. Not that it didn't taste fine, just something didn't go well all together. Some may love it but I could just do the chili on its own with some potato's to dip.

I tried the loaded ribeye burrito very flavorful I wish the burrito came with more meat for the price. Service was quick I placed an order online and it took around 10min for the order to be completed. Will be back to try other items

I absolutely love this place! It's a newer breakfast spot, but they've already become one of my go-to favorites. Their breakfast burritos are so good!! packed with flavor and always fresh. The sandwiches are just as delicious, and the bacon is always perfectly crispy (which is a big deal for me!). But my favorite part? The potato wedge fries. They're seriously amazing & crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and they hit the spot every single time. You can tell everything's made with care and good ingredients. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't been yet!

This EggBred is located inside Whittier's food hall called Rodeo 72 Public Market. Parking: huge parking lot. Street parking is also available. The menu is pretty simple. I saw that they had a limited-time special called the Chopped Chicken, so I got that. They were offering a 15% discount for signing up/downloading the app. My sandwich was so salty. I would not get it again. The servers were nice. Food is served in take out bags. Their weekday hours are sad, but they do close later on the weekends. Credit card/Apple Pay accepted. (Swipe card is physically impossible to use because their machine is glued down.) Bathroom is on the other side of the food hall. Indoor + outdoor seating.

Eye catching and compact location within Rodeo 72 - Whittier, Eggbred is certainly a popular breakfast spot based on the customer foot traffic. Our office was craving breakfast burritos on a Saturday morning and Eggbred caught our attention based on the menu options. We quickly placed an order online for pick up. When I arrived, I decided to place another order. Both orders were ready within about 20 min. If Eggbred is your destination, I'm sure the staff will appreciate your patience as customer response is high. I do recommend to Eggbred that they revisit their online pick up window to better assist customers and discourage the perception that staff is simply ignoring them. As for the burritos, they were delicious! Loved the Breakfast Burrito-Chorizo and the Loaded Burrito (Chili con Carne) was a hit. The chorizo is cut in larger pieces so be prepared. I am not sure if you can request that the chorizo be cut in smaller portions. There are seating areas spread out throughout Rodeo 72, both indoor and outdoor, should you decide to dine in. Parking for the Rodeo 72, depending on the time of day, can be a challenge. It was free and clear on Saturday morning but since Rodeo 72 is designated such a small parking area the spots fill up quickly. You can park further out in the general parking area reserved for the other stores but be prepared for a walk. I don't recommend parking where the The Groves townhomes are even though it is much closer. Enjoy your visit!

Breakfast sandwiches and the loaded fries are a must! They are super stacked and filling! We tried the dessert for the first time and it was bomb! The blood orange was also really refreshing! The side of cheese is really good because u can dip everything into it! This is also located inside rodeo 72 which is a huge food hall! Super cute! The atmosphere is such a vibe! Sometimes they have live music and performances! They also have a huge screen Tv's

    Sausage egg sandwich

I ordered a sausage egg sandwich, sat down and took a bite... I felt my eyes watered up taking me back to my teenage years in Guatemala where I would go out for hours skateboarding and having little money in my pocket, enough to buy a choripan from this mobil food cart called "Los Gauchitos". The explosion of flavors between the warm melted cheese, the juicy sausage and what i believe the taste of chimichurri was a delight to my oral fixation!! THE BEST MUTHA HUFFIN' EGG SANDWICH EVER! Thank you to the staff for making a great experiece as a first timer, food and service was outta this world

A weekend brunch with friends brought me to Madre's Whittier, where the menu offered plenty of tempting options--and a few unexpected lessons about ordering seafood. I tried the Ensenada Omelet, loaded with shrimp, salmon, crab, and octopus. Now, I'm a seafood lover, but octopus and I aren't exactly close friends. I asked if it could be removed, but since the seafood mix is pre-made, the octopus had already RSVP'd to the party. The omelet was good, topped with a creamy sauce, but not something I'd order again. The crab appeared to be imitation crab, and while everything was prepared well, it just wasn't a standout for me. The real star? The strawberry pancakes. Delicious! Next time, I'd order those with a side of eggs and call it a win. I also sampled the chilaquiles, and now that's a dish I'd come back for. The Tiramisu Latte was another favorite--not overly sweet and packed with that classic tiramisu flavor I love. A special shoutout to our waitress, Annie, who was attentive, friendly, and made our brunch experience even better. My Verdict: Skip the Ensenada Omelet and build your brunch around the stars of the menu instead. The strawberry pancakes are the must-order item, the chilaquiles are a strong savory choice, and the Tiramisu Latte ties everything together. If you order wisely, Madre's delivers a brunch worth coming back for.

Keep in mind both these drinks were on the sugary side, but I personally like that, but to each their own. The Aztec Mocha was super chocolatey which I loved, and the prices for each are fair for the size you get. The breakfast combo was very very good, a very generous amount of egg, the hash browns were crunchy and hot, and the bacon was delicious. I loved everything on the plate. The mini pancakes were great, good agreeable amount and came out hot. I would highly recommend the combo The chilaquiles were great as well, salsa had a nice flavor, chips were crunchy, and eggs were cooked to perfection. The lady who seated us was very friendly and pretty attentive and especially considering she wad handling a lot of other tables. Both the house eggs Benedict and house French toast were good. Was expecting crispy bacon on the benny considering the description, but the only difference from classic seemed to be the avocado. The benny egg and muffin were both collected well, especially the eggs they did a great job on those. Wife didn't like the flavor of the hollandaise sauce, but thought it was fine. She liked the French toast much better. You did not need syrup as the butter cream and chocolate sauce were plenty sweet on their own. Half serving is probably ok for one person, full was nice to share. The bathroom was clean, large, and single person--great for a pit stop before you head out! The mason jar waters were cool. The idea was to enjoy my coffee while getting organized--paying bills, planning calendar events, and having the opportunity to focus without any distractions from my usual surroundings. In search of the perfect spot, I turned to Yelp, a reliable resource for uncovering hidden gems nearby. Upon stepping into the coffee shop, I was immediately greeted with warm hospitality, setting the tone for a delightful experience. The ambiance of the place was truly captivating--it was bright and welcoming, infused with an aesthetic charm that instantly put me at ease. I couldn't help but be intrigued by the design elements throughout the shop, which added an inviting touch to its overall atmosphere. Before I settled in, I asked the staff if I could snap a few photos to capture the essence of this delightful space. They graciously welcomed my request, and I was shown to my table, which, quite uniquely, was designated by a number--a small detail that I found charming. As I browsed the menu, I encountered a small conundrum: I wasn't entirely sure what to order. I wanted to break the mold and try something out of the ordinary. My curiosity was piqued by their exclusive offering of Café de la Olla--a traditional hot drink that piqued my interest right away. I ultimately settled on a hearty plate that included rice, beans, and enticing potato tostones, accompanied by two beautifully cooked sunny-side-up eggs. As I waited for my order, I noticed the café was filled with the sweet sounds of old-school music from the '60s and '70s, which only enhanced the cozy ambiance while I sipped my drink. Now, let's talk about the food! I must say, I rated the café itself a solid 4 out of 5 for its overall charm, while the rice earned a respectable 4 out of 5. The beans were rich in flavor and received a fair 3.9 out of 5. The potato tostones, delicately bathed in a savory red sauce, stood out with an impressive score of 4.3 out of 5--these are a must-try if you visit! And as for the sunny-side-up eggs, they were good, but hey, eggs are eggs, right? Overall, the entire experience was quite enjoyable, from the delightful food to the warm atmosphere. A special shout-out goes to Ana, whose exceptional customer service made my visit even more memorable. The combination of fantastic service, inviting aesthetics, and satisfying food truly made for a perfect morning retreat. I can't recommend this spot enough for anyone looking for a relaxing place to unwind and focus on what matters.
