I love me some breakfast spots. This is my new fav spot when I am in town!!! The food is amazing it wasn't greasy at all well proportioned and the balance of spice goes amazingly. The coffee match loved it. I couldn't be happier with all the food choices we've made and shared. The huevos ranchero was amazing it does have a good kick to it which I loved didn't require any additional hot sauce. My daughter loved the pancakes but the tropical bliss she loved so much. I had the omelette and it sad so well balanced so filling of a meal but I want to compliment over the fact that food did come to us served all greasy even the potatoes it was so well done. My son devoured his burger lol he loved it so much sharing wasn't really an option for him lol. Overall this review is well deserved with the starts given. Good prompt service! If you like eggs made in so many different ways, this is the place for you. I had the veggie Supreme wrap (around $16) and it was very tasty; light like what I needed for a breakfast. It had a good amount of egg, Avocado, onion, Mushroom and spinach. In my opinion, i would like a bit more flavoring with salt and pepper. There was some dressing dripping from it so I'm not sure if it's good to take on the go. Decided to try Eggcellent after being in the mood for brunch and seeing a couple of promising posts on TikTok, it was great! To start, I ordered a honey suckle latte and my bf ordered a Vietnamese coffee. We would rate both 8/10. Both solid. For food we ordered: Truffle avocado toast: 10/10. This is VERYYY truffle forward and I love it . You could smell it coming before it even hit the table. If you aren't a big fan of truffle I would stay away from it. Side of home fries: 10000/10. Some of the best in the city! Chicken crunch bowl: 7/10. Not bad, but nothing that you can't make at home. Our server was super sweet and helpful with recommendations. Had an impromptu morning breakfast with friends here early on a Monday morning. As expected, crowds were little to none, and was mostly the group of cops enjoying their morning shift breakfast. This is my second time here in the past few years. Table services was great. Ordering was fast once all of us arrived, and we got our food shortly afterwards. Food is pretty delicious, and there's a good variety on the menu. I was so ready to start eating that I forgot to snap a picture, but our table ordered a Mexi Hash, Iron Hash, and the Eggsplosion Burger. Overall, food is delicious. I think the portion size to price ratio is a bit wanting, especially if you're just looking for a simple breakfast, but it does seem more reasonably priced for brunch if that's what your coming here for. Ambience is great-- a bit small, but I love the brightly colored walls. Definitely helps with waking up. Heads up that parking is a bit tight, but if you're coming anywhere into Old City you should just expect that at this point, and it's of no fault to the business. read more

I ordered a Clucker Benny and my friend ordered a small stack of pancakes with a side of cheese and eggs and potatoes. Everything was delightful and was a healthy serving size for both my friend and I. The place is small; service was fairly quick; the prices seemed reasonable although I didn't see the bill. We ordered coffee and my husband requested half regular and half decaf and we were told they had no way of making half caf coffee which seemed strange. Three of us ordered eggs and one person ordered a pancake. Our food came and we were almost finished eating before the pancake arrived after asking about it twice. In general, the food was good but based on the service, I don't think we would visit again. I really wanted to love this place. The brunch was "hopping," the plates were gorgeous, and the coffee was spot on. As a former server, I have a high tolerance for "busy" energy, but the host's behavior was beyond the pale. After we asked for boxes and the check, we were left in limbo. When the host finally approached us again, it wasn't to settle the bill, but to scold us for sitting too long. It's hard to vacate a table when you haven't been given the check or the boxes you asked for! There are plenty of polite ways to "turn" a table, but scolding guests for your own delay isn't one of them. The tumeric latte was cozy and delicious -- the tumeric was strong and I wasn't able to finish it, but it was my first time having a latte like this and I'm just not sure it's the flavor profile for me. Not a fan of the QR code only menu, especially for a menu that is as extensive as this. Seems like it would be a lot easier to read if they just had regular menus on the table. The seating is cozy and it seems like it's hard for the staff not to bump into the patrons. The food we ordered was decent - not bad, not great. I'm not sure if this restaurant is new, but the staff seemed overwhelmed and unorganized from the moment we arrived. It was painful to watch things unfold. They use an iPad system for the waitlist, which died mid-service -- and the staff didn't seem to know how to handle it. Guests who complained about the wait were seated ahead of others who had been patiently waiting, which felt very unfair. I received my "table is ready" text but still waited another 22 minutes to be seated. I eventually had to approach the staff to remind them I'd been waiting while others were being sat ahead of me. The menu is only available online, which isn't ideal for elderly guests. When our food finally came out, it was served quickly but unfortunately cold. My partner's dish arrived first (still cold), and my order came five minutes later after I had to ask if it was forgotten. The burrito I ordered looked nothing like the online photo -- it was cold, and the cheese inside wasn't melted. The restaurant clearly can't handle the morning rush. The space feels overcrowded for its size, and the "cash discount" just means avoiding the credit card fee, not an actual discount. Overall, the food was messy, cold, and disappointing.
