Did you even go to Oahu if you don't go to eggs 'n things? My husband just loves good pancakes and that is something they definitely do right. Great breakfast joint with so much to choose from. We were up early each day and ate mostly in our rental. The one breakfast we had to have was eggs'n things. We got there around 8 and put ourselves on waitlist. It took about a 10 minute wait to sit inside. Service was super friendly and helpful from start to finish. The food was excellent. The pancakes are as good as I remember. There is a decent amount of seating inside and out. I'm sure it gets busy but come early and you'll be fine.

It's an unassuming little spot at the corner suite of a very small shopping complex, but it's those little places that always deliver. We visited twice for breakfast during our eight night stay in Ko'Olina, but I could have gone back every morning, and I'll definitely be coming back the next time I'm staying here! I tried the bacon jalapeño fried rice, since it seemed to be very popular and looked quite unique to me for breakfast! I was not disappointed!! It was a huge plate (took half the rice back as leftovers) and tasted wonderful! Everyone's dishes were stellar all week, as was the service. The place was always busy, but we never had to wait very long for a table. I highly recommend the rainbow fruit pancakes as both insanely tasty and stunningly beautiful. If you're going to be staying in or near Ko'Olina or even passing through, give this place a go. You won't be disappointed!

The proximity to the ko'olina resorts makes this breakfast/brunch place a favorite for the family every summer. This last summer though my Portuguese sausage came to the table burnt on one side and I don't know if it's a new change to add fish sauce to the fried rice, but none of us cared for it. The pancakes were still amazing along with the waffles and guava syrup. Customer service is always top notch. I figured this was just a one off for the place food wise compared to all the other times we've gone and ordered the same items and were completely satisfied.

Just across the street from the Resorts and only open early in the day it's a solid option for breakfast or lunch away from the resort. Friendly service and besides tasty food they have a few retail items like bagged coffee and cookies available at the register. Everything was fresh and delicious and the atmosphere was pleasant and relaxing but this is a tourist spot and priced accordingly.

This reminded me of a classic diner spot with a great view of the water if you're lucky. It is a super busy place so make sure to join the waitlist online before arriving to shorten your wait in person. It is a great spot for some comfort food for you or your kids on your visit. Service was fast but limited as they were very busy. The Hawaiian loco moco was a cool take on the classic with including veggies and some more flavor to the rice. The eggs benedict was good and I loved the Portuguese Sausage.

Out here on the islands of Oahu again enjoying the go to spot for breakfast!!! They never disappoint and all the food is delicious. Other than the wait because it the spot to eat the customer service, hospitality, and amazing food is all great. Come check them out

This is annoying that the plaza is charging for parking when we are spending money to frequent their establishments :/

Nice to eat other than the resort! It is close to the resort although the plaza is charging to park when you spend money at their establishments. Ryan's Service here was great..very friendly...and helpful. The food eat good and was out quick even though they were busy. There is inside and outside seating just depending what you prefer.

Highly recommend making reservations in advance via Google or Yelp. Parking stalls require pay for parking via credit or debit card $3 per hour. Daily specials listed on TV. Crab Cake Benedict w/ potatoes: English muffins, crab cakes, diced potatoes turned out well. Unfortunately, two eggs appeared to be six minutes poached medium. Both lacked runny yolks of a true benedict. I didn't take back my meal due to limited time. First server did not disclose or offer how I would like my eggs. I inquired because the printed receipt showed eggs med poach. I didn't make any requests. Second server said eggs benedict are automatically poached medium unless the customer informs or makes a special request, the only thing we (E&T) cannot do is boil the eggs. Only disclaimer on menu: Consuming raw or undercooked meats, poultry, seafood, shellfish, or eggs may increase your risk of foodborne illness, especially if you have certain medical conditions. Feel free to inform the staff how you'd like your eggs made for a benedict to prevent and clear future miscommunication.

We had breakfast this morning at Eggs 'n Things. It's a restaurant chain in Hawaii that has a variety of menu items for breakfast and brunch. We enjoyed Eggs Benedict, bacon-spinach-cheese omelettes and an eggs and spam breakfast plate with rice. The omelettes came with pancakes too. The staff were friendly and there's ample indoor and patio seating. The food was reasonably priced and fresh. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. It was a very cozy place with great local vibes.

Plenty of places to sit, they have in and outdoor seating

We stopped here to get a small bite to eat and we're heading out on one of our tours. We both had egg sandwiches plus juice delicious sandwich homemade outstanding. Customer service is great. The young lady was very outputting and asking that we were satisfied. Abby's average plenty of seating nice and quiet. You would enjoy it very much. You need to check it out.

My friend and I were staying across the street and based on her previous experience decided to come back and eat here! The food was great and the service was good too but the restaurant didn't seem to be the cleanest, and needs a makeover however we would be back for sure for the food! We actually visited this location twice during our recent trip to Hawaii!!

We liked Eggs 'n Things so much we came here twice in one week. The food was both classic and definitely Hawaiian. Just a place with great creativity and taste. It can get busy both in the parking lot and waiting for a table. You can use Yelp to hold a spot when its busy. Aulani for the most part is overpriced and not as good, but this is a great place for breakfast or brunch so don't miss it! FOOD: We've seen this place in the past when we came to visit so we thought we'd finally try it. The first time I had the portuguese sausage and eggs with rice (not pictured) and the pineapple pancakes. The sausage and eggs were great! The pancakes were undercooked for me and a little too sweet but I'm sure many people will love it. Had the loco moco next time and it was superb. I love a classic dish with just enough spin to make it even more tasty. The eggs benedict my wife had was good also as was the fried rice she had the first time around. SERVICE: Overall good. Not exceptional, but they were always on top of things and the portion sizes were just right. Definitely looked good too. COST: Reasonable, especially for a resort area. I think it says a lot that we came here twice in one week and plan to go back again.

Oh my GAWD, this was so good! Eggs were very fresh, kimchi was perfect...but the beef, it was everything!

Could you PLEASE consider offering a true vegan-friendly option? The Beyond patty is a start -- maybe something as simple as vegan fried rice (veggies but NO eggs) with Beyond patty would be awesome.

I forgot my GoPro, which color is beige at the nearest table in Eggs things. Could you find it?

Aloha! Please feel free to directly contact our store so we can try to assist you. Our number is (808) 312-3447. Mahalo!

Is it easy to walk from Aulani to here with two toddlers?

Very easy walk...of course toddlers make everything a little more difficult, but it should be fine.

Anyone know what time they open/close?

They have breakfast/brunch hours only. I believe it was approximately 6am-2pm.

I will say i did taste it and it was meh... - another kiddo got the shoyu noodles and its plain. So if you got a simple palate plain jane child, they will like this one. For drinks, it depends on taste and preferences. I was bummed on this one. Mainly looking fwd to the drinks and it didn't satisfy my tastebuds. It was too twisted, fusion, modified etc. i prefer a mai tai a plain old fashioned mai tai without the fixings. The orange foam was too strong it overwhelmed the dark rum im used to and prefer. So i decided to try the ube rey instead which was much better but still not as much to my liking/preferences. Went back to Aulani a but bummed and decided to get another at Aulani the next day instead and I will say, i liked it better as it followed the more traditional way of making it. So if you prefer traditional ways, this may not be for you and if planning to drink, simply keep with the simplier generic drinks, wine or beer. If you prefer to try different ways and flavors, then you will love this. Service was great and our server was attentive at all times. Thank you. Ambiance was good but outdoor seating may be a bit of a nuance due to flies swarming around you often. The swinging table fan helps but are still annoying plus the tropical heat also didn't help.

Overall,…read morethe food was very nice plated and great flavors, but in my opinion every dish was slightly salty, not a deal breaker but certainly could be a little less heavy handed. I would come back again but hope everything would be a little bit more dialed in to make it 5/5 stars. Kambucha squash with miso caramel: great flavor and great texture but sauce was again very seasoned. 8/10 NY strip steak: perfectly cooked medium rare with nice crunchy bits on top and very tender. It was served with a few sauces that while indeed salty again, in this case it worked and the salt let the beef flavor shine. 9/10 would definitely come back again for this. KFC cauliflower: korean fried iteration of cauliflower it was spicy, sticky, crunchy, sweet and definitely was one of the table favorites. 9/10 Sunset roll: standard sushi roll with crab and fish on top. It was good and fresh. 8.5/10 Beef, pork, mushroom skewers: the pork belly was great and the sauce was tasty and not overly salty, my favorite of the three. The beef was decent but did not really compare to the steak we had so having them side by side made it kind of underwhelming. The mushrooms were good but kind of small for the price compared to the others. 7.5/10 Shoyu eggplant: eggplant was plump and tasty with a definite soy sauce taste. Kind of verged on the salty side but considering shoyu was in the name it definitely delivered on that front. 8/10 Shrimp toast: fried Japanese milk bread with shrimp and a tangy sauce and salad on top. Great crunch and flavorful shrimp but again the sauce was verging on overly salty. That said, we all did enjoy this dish and would order it again. 8.5/10 Fresh caught fish with crispy skin over rice with consumme: this dish was the only dish that was not overly salty and I thought was delicious, well balanced and had nice delicate flavors. My one nitpick was the skin did not come out crispy as advertised. 8/10 Scallops: Three scallops served over a cream sauce with rice cakes and salmon eggs. The scallops and sauce were the star and very tasty on its own, however, when eat with the ikura, again it followed the trend of overly salty so I kind of avoided it. The rice cakes were kind of just there and was surprisingly bland considering the aforementioned saltiness. Overall, while the scallops and sauce were nice, the dish was a little underwhelming for the high price and small amounts of scallops ($16 per scallop). 7/10 In summary, most dishes had high and lows, but with the great service and views this place still offers a lot of value, I just think it has some kinks to work out.

Ohhhh my gosh we LOVED Makahiki! We ate here for both character breakfast and dinner…read more Breakfast- We loved eating character breakfast here! We came at 7am which was so nice because it wasn't crowded. We got some extra time with Mickey Mouse in the beginning and since it wasn't crowded, the characters visited our table 2-3 times. The food was great too! We loved the donuts, omelets, lox and bagels, and gluten free minnie mouse waffles! They were SO kind in having gluten free options (gluten free waffles, fruit, gluten free muffins). The gluten free food was delicious. We all loved our food and we really had a great time! Beautiful view and environment too! Dinner- This was absolutely the best dinner we had during our trip. It's a 3 course meal and you get to choose off of the menu. I got the corn chowder, prime rib, and pineapple dessert. My date got the tomato soup, seared ahi, and pineapple dessert. All of the food was amazingggg! We also LOVED our drinks we ordered. We ordered an old fashioned and then our sweet server had the bar whip me up a custom drink! Both were so good! For both meals, the service was amaaaazing! They are so kind and go over and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. They constituently checked in with us, gave us great recommendations, and got us everything we needed. I wish I remembered the name of our waiter at dinner, he was absolutely amazing! *Dinner does not include characters* I would give our experience for both breakfast and dinner a 100/10!

What a fantastic way to start our day and week at the Character Breakfast!…read more The food is awesome for sure - but so is the company (characters) and the ambience is awesome right here in the middle of the resort at Aulani! The service is outstanding and we are so happy and blessed to be here! We were able to greet Mickey & Minnie, Goofy and Stitch at breakfast! We enjoyed macadamia nut pancakes with sweet syrup sauce; Mickey waffles and bacon; a farmer's omelet and potatoes - we had huge portions and the price for 4 (2 kids and 2 adults) was really good for all the food, the live music and the character visits over and over to our table! I also note that we didn't not attend the Luau this trip - which costs $200-$300+ per person (at Aulani). We opted to skip because we've been before and figured we would wait some before taking the kids - a little bit older for the best age to really fully enjoy that aspect of the show. You can get all the pictures with your personal camera/phone/device but know that the character breakfast photos by the photo folks with Mickey are not included - they will offer a $45 photo package to include and featured photo in the cardboard decorated photo frame and a photo pass card representing all the photos taken with Mickey as a family and as individuals at the featured photo session with Mickey during the (breakfast) character meal experience. We made our appointment for the first of the day and joined breakfast at 7am. We were first in line and first for the day - we enjoyed that personally because it was a great time with no crowds and we were able to start the day early and get on to having (more) fun! We dined there for lunch on a Monday, so naturally, they weren't too busy. We were seated right away and our drink orders were once we were seated. I decided on one of the specials of the month, White Wash. It was a refreshing mix of watermelon juice, cucumber, mint, and vodka. The bartender didn't skimp on the vodka! You can get a free kid's meal with every entree. The nachos count as entrees, and I was definitely feeling the nachos so we ordered the Lobster Nachos and the Mauka to Makai Nachos. With the Mauka to Makai Nachos, you get a very generous serving of poke nachos and kalua pig nachos. Neither plates disappointed. There were cheesy chunks of lobster on my nachos with diced jalapenos scattered on top. The poke was so fresh, and what made the nachos even better were the fresh house made tortilla chips. My kids had the mac and cheese, and cheeseburger meals. The mac and cheese was creamy and velvety. The cheeseburgers had that nice char-broiled taste. Kids eat well at Tavern! The customer service was excellent and with a view overlooking the ocean, I am looking forward to dining at Lanterns again.

Unfortunately, they don't have an elevator, which was a little difficult for my grandmother who was with us. However, we were still able to make it up the stairs slowly but surely. It wasn't busy at all but there was only one waiter/bartender. He was very kind and efficient, but I could tell it was a lot for one person to wait on the whole restaurant! It meant ordering was a little slow, but understandably. The food itself was delicious! The burgers were amazing, honestly would be on a list of top five burgers on the island. The mauka to makai (half kalua pig, half poke) nachos were amazing. The won ton chips were to die for. We also grabbed a mini purse drink - which is definitely enough for two to share! Such a fun concept and actually how I heard of the place. Besides the slightly slow service, no elevator (which sometimes, cannot help), and the AI generated menus, this place is amazing! Plus, a nice view while you eat.

Underrated local dinner spot…read more The entry to this restaurant is so easy to miss because it's so narrow and it blends in so well with everything. I don't know if they want to keep it hidden, but I guess you could consider it that. We went in on a Saturday night with reservations and I highly recommend it since the place was full when we went in and more people kept wanting to come and eat. Service was great from beginning to end, I especially love that everyone accommodated my stroller and my baby. There were four of us and we each got something different, but to start I highly suggest the steamed shrimp and pork wontons and the lechon style Brussels - I would've double-ordered those for my entree if I could have! For entrees we ordered the garlic noodles, misoyaki butterfish, seared catch-of-the-day, and the burger. They were all amazing, and after we all started letting each other try we started making our own "flights" because everything just hit different spots and flavor profiles. In summary, this is one of those places that doesn't care about aesthetics, the decor is casual, but the food is soooo ono. They focus all their energy on food and service, and that makes a winner winner chicken dinner in my book.
