My friend and I decided to go to Eggs Up for breakfast on 7/3/2022 and we were not disappointed with the food or the service. Upon entering the establishment, we were promptly greeted and seated. Tito was our server who went over the menu, reviewed his favored menu items, and made sure to check on us throughout our meal. The food came out rather quickly. I WAS so very excited to come back to eat the Famous Strawberry Cheescake Pancakes that I loved last week at the Austell Ga location, BUT .... unfortunately, as we sat and waited for more than 35 minutes and watched our pancakes sit under the heat lamp for more than 20 minutes, we grew concerned and asked if we could have our food. We were then told that there were NO STRAWBERRIES!!!!. Then we were told that someone was running to the store (FOOD DEPOT) to purchase Strawberries. I am highly dissappointed because even after sitting and waiting and watching the pancakes sit under the heat lamp again, still no food. This experience has really put a damper on my appetite. Being told that it's the delivery trucks fault because they were supppsed to be here at 8am ...eventhough we ordered around 11am Noone realized there were no Strawberries is unacceptable. I'm actually pissed that my food looked horrible (thrown together) and the pancakes are not hot nor did it have enough custard between the pancakes nor onto like it did last week. My friend and I stopped in for the first time and this place did NOT disappoint. I had heard that the customer service was top notch and it really is. Every person that I encountered was so very friendly. A staff member even held the door open for us as we left! I can't remember the last time that has happened. Shai was our server and he was so sweet and accommodating. We let him know that there was an issue with the apple juice and he quickly looked into it. Now THAT'S the service that every establishment needs. He didn't hesitate to look into the issue AND he quickly suggested a drink replacement. The back-of-the-house deserves so much respect. Those men were executing great plates QUICK. I would suggest keeping an eye on the warmth of the potatoes. They were a little cold, but nothing to send a plate back over. Since this was our first time we ordered a few things to try: - Philly cheesesteak omelet: It was SOOOOO good! It came with an order of home fries and toast (raisin for us) which were good as well. The potatoes could've used a pinch more of salt, but I understand why it isn't there. Some people are sensitive to sodium so it's good that they aren't super salty. The raisin toast must be homemade. I haven't had a piece of raisin toast that good in probably twenty years. 9.5/10 - Grand Classic: DELICIOUS! We had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage links, cheddar garlic grits and a half of waffle instead of toast. Listen to me when I say this! WAFFLE HOUSE OFFICIALLY HAS COMPETITION!!! I have loved WH waffles my entire life and I'm ready to dethrone them after a quarter of the Eggs Up Grill waffle. Please never change the recipe. The waffle is a must and will be ordered every time. The grits could've used some salt, but still very good. 9/10 (8 points for the waffle alone). - Caramel Apple Pancakes: I was too full to really indulge, but the little bite that I did taste was phenomenal. 9/10 - Sweet tea: Perfect level of sweetness. 10/10 - Apple juice: not sweet at all. 0/10 - Service and atmosphere: I would suggest keeping a close eye on the cleanliness of the dining room, but the service outshines a little trash on the floor. 9.5/10 You gotta try this place. First time eating here and when came in the greeting from sugar was very warm and pleasant friendly and kept a smile on her face, our waiter Lexx were very pleasant great attitude, answer the question we asked about the suggestion about the food gave us a idea of a choice of food to eat, and the manager Tiffany she was awesome she came out and greeted us and ask was the food good, and when I looked up she was walking around greeting all the rest of the customer was in the restaurant. A very good and polite group of employees. And I can't leave out the cooks great and amazing job on the food really was good and quick service. First time customer after getting off of work working third shift all night I was extremely hungry and I stopped at this restaurant on my way home and gave them a precise order of how I wanted my food prepared when I got home my eggs was hard when I asked for softly scrambled eggs no condiments but syrup for our pancakes when I called up to the restaurant with my complaint, the manager kept calling me, sweetie and Honey, which was unprofessional and she told me that she could not replace my order because it was $40. Are you serious? This is a new establishment. It's all bills and whistles smoky glass. It looks good from the interior management they need to replace her ASAP professional she's not a problem solver she does not know how to de-escalate and she's an African-American manager in a new establishment. I'm very unsatisfied and unhappy with the food and the service and how the manager handled the situation they need to replace her before they establishment goes down.. I asked for sour cream for the breakfast bowl that I got didn't get that we got no butter for our pancakes. The eggs were fried hard. And the food doesn't even taste all that good. It had a bland taste. I had to come home and put a little salt on it give it some flavor and a kick! Very unhappy new custome I will not return as a reoccurring customer nor will I give good referrals about this restaurant eggs up grill. The service for the person who took my order was decent. Me and my room mate have been going to this location every week for a few months. We usually come in for a late breakfast on Saturday. I have always received excellent service by the wait staff. I have always been seated quickly. Tito has waited on us a few times and has been amazing with his great service. He makes sure our custom orders come out right and our drinks are topped off. I love their omelettes which are a healthy option and Carne Asada is delicious. My roommate loves their bacon and eggs platters with the grits. The value is great and the atmosphere is bright and cheerful. I look forward to many more visits. read more

I was excited for this spot too finally open but I was underwhelmed with the food. Yes, it's a chain but I had high hopes. I ordered the chicken and waffles. Big mistake as the tenders were hard and frozen the kind that you find in your grocers freezer and lacked taste. The waffle well it was nothing to write home about either. My mate ordered the Patty O' Sullivan omelet and he stated it was just ok. At any rate I would have enjoyed myself much better had I cooked breakfast for us at home. She then placed my order forgot to tell them it was to go so they had placed it in a plate for dining, then it sat in the window. By the time they transferred it to a to go container it was NOT HOT. She left off my drink. I did not have time to even say anything because I had been there for over 30 minutes and had to get to work. I found this location during a Google search and being that it was close and convenient for me , I wanted to try it. The reviews I read were not great but weren't bad either. I decided to give it a try. The young lady who waited on me was young and not attentive but yet I saw her talking and laughing the whole time at the front register with a co-worker and patron who I can only assume she knew. The food was not good. I got the chicken and waffles. I definitely would have come out better going home and cooking for myself. The chicken fingers were hard and dry and the waffles were not hot when they came out. I was very disappointed and probably won't give them another try because first impressions are everything. Yes I could have asked them to re-make my meal but I was on a time crunch and needed to get in and get out. Very disappointing for me personally. read more

My boyfriend and I ate here yesterday. First I must say that I really wanted to like this place. We are always finding new places to eat and have breakfast dates. I previously ate at a location in Jonesboro, Ga which was good, so I thought this one would be the same. My boyfriend bordered a veggie omelet, home fries, and the cinnamon swirl French toast. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak omelet, home fries, and a pancake. Our food sat in the window while our waiter was standing at the front counter on his phone. Another worker had to get his attention to get him to get our food to bring to us. Needless to say, some of the items were cold and we had to ask for them to be remade. They were not made fresh, but microwaved instead. The French toast was hard! Not good at all. The meat inside of my omelet was ground beef. The grits were lumpy and not hot. The food had no flavor whatsoever. The only thing I ate was my lukewarm pancake. I didn't even get a to-go box. Oh and to top it all off, I have food poisoning! Yes! You read correctly. I have been sick since eating here yesterday with ALL of the symptoms. Even contacted a doctor. This is the only thing that I ate. There aren't many breakfast places in Austell to sit and eat, but I will gladly drive across town to avoid getting food poisoning from a meal. The only thing nice about this place was the atmosphere. We were seated within minutes after checking in with the hostess. The server, Vee, almost immediately came to our table and got our drinks. In less than 10 minutes, we had placed our order. However, it was 30-45 mins later when we got our food. My husband ordered eggs Benedict. The sourdough bread was as hard as a rock and had to be cut by a steak knife. Also, the Canadian bacon was extremely tough. I ordered the sirloin that came with home fries and a slice of tomato. I ordered the sirloin medium well but the inside was still very red and rare. The home fries were over-seasoned with pepper. Vee was extremely friendly and attentive. When she asked if we were satisfied with our meal, we gave her our honest opinion. She immediately relayed our comments to the manager, Eddie, and he then discounted our meal. We had fully intended to pay for the entire meal and were not expecting any discount. While we appreciated the gesture, it felt short in sincerity because the manager never came to our table to express his regrets. Having said that, we would like to return to give them a 2nd chance.
