This is an upbeat upfit breakfast diner. The interior is bright, clean, and friendly and so is the staff. The breakfast choices are fresh and delicious with no crazy surprise menu choices. The hustle and bustle adds to the ambiance rather than detracting from it. Very good choice for a good meal and experience. I will note, if you have any back issues at all, get a booth. Went to grab a bite with my family before getting back on the road. We waited for 20 minutes never to be acknowledged by staff. It was obvious to my family that our business was not wanted, when the staff ignored us and wanted to accommodate guests who came In after ours. The sanitation score is pretty low , which makes sense because they allow pets in the restaurant. The dog a table , but we didn't. I was very disappointed with the experience. read more

After relocating from Metro Atlanta, Eggs Up was one of the first brunch spots I ventured to try. We ended up being a patron of this establishment several times and have found a few favorites, and a few dishes that were a little bit of a let down. My first visit I got the shrimp and grits omelette with high hopes being on the Carolina Coast. The shrimp were not really seasoned, and overall this dish was very bland. The grits also were thin and grainy and no hot sauce was served as an optional condiment. My husband got the Texas Farm House Omelette and it was a hit! At my next visit I got the Southwestern Bowl with poached eggs and that was much more my speed. The homefries are well seasoned. My eggs poached perfectly, even on a DoorDash delivery. On another occasion we tried the shrimp and grits bowl, but it was still very bland and disappointing. The French toast was "okay" as we got it with pralines and caramel. It wasn't awful, but it was nothing to write home about. The blueberry muffins were delicious but tasted prepackaged and not made in house. Overall, they have a great variety on the menu. They do have a build your own omelette option which I would recommend. They also have some seasonal options that are worth trying to include the Summery Berry Chicken Salad. I wish I could give a higher rating but in the south, and on the coast, if shrimp and grits are on the menu in any fashion they need to be rich, creamy and with great flavor on the shrimp themselves. read more

Food came out as I ordered, nothing special about it not much flavor, coffee blah. Thought I would give them another try, everyone can have an off day, this time I took my mom. Wait staff again pleasant & attentive. This time I got sausage and bacon with my eggs & gravy. Sausage gross and bacon had a weird taste, gravy was ok, biscuit was sad and tasteless. We Visit this chain regularly in Myrtle. I have dietary needs so I was excited to see this place here while staying at Holden for vacation. The ones in Myrtle offer sugar free jelly & syrup options. This one did not. The waitress was VERY thorough in taking my order. It came out relatively fast. My egg white omelette looked large & full. However, it was not made to my specifications the way the waitress put it in. I asked for feta cheese on the side, it was inside the omelette. She caught it in time. Unfortunately, the cooks blamed her for not verbally saying it, even though she punched it in. It was rough sitting very close to wear the food prep took place, hearing them make a deal over it. I felt ashamed that I ordered my food all together. I shouldn't have to feel guilt like that & I normally have no problems eating out. The space itself felt weird. Hardly any booths, lots of small tables in a small space, making you feel exposed & concerned that someone was going to knock you or your table. Someone knocked my purse off my chair a few times & a hot sauce bottle came flying at me & spilled all over the place. In my opinion, to many workers for the small space. When they remade my omelette, this time it did not look at pretty or appetizing as the first omelette. Far less egg whites, less veggies, & the turkey bacon wasn't as crisp. I would have rather the omelette been prepared better than rushed. So a few things: 1. All staff need to be concerned about people's orders. If I am paying $10, plus $2.25 for coffee, I expect my food to be the way I want it. 2. Not sure what you can do about the spacial concerns, except has less staff zooming around. 3. Have a few healthier condiment options for special dietary needs. read more

Great breakfast experience! Super yummy food, wonderful service and great atmosphere. So many menu options to choose from. I was able to taste the Texas Farmhouse Omelet, Chorizo Breakfast Quesadilla and the Blueberry Muffin; highly recommend adding the blueberry muffin to your meal!! Service is great! no problem there. this was our first but last time there for us unfortunately if you are a coffee drinker dont get regular coffee taste like water with coffee favor order dark roast if you want real coffee. found a hair in my food so had to be sent back home fried potatoes no flavor to them. Our first time here. We got a really friendly greeting and were seated quickly. The service and food were very good. We both had the waffle and eggs mine with sausage and my wife's with bacon. It was a little strange that we did not get butter with the meal and none was on the table but that was minor as the food was very good. My wife commented that she was not asked if she wanted a drink to go. Again a minor issue. We will definitely. Back again for a second time and it was great. Got butter this time. I would give it 5 stars, the food was very good as were the mimosas. My sons kids meal was good, however his eggs "scrambled w cheese, " no cheese. The waitress, whom gave fantastic service delivered a carafe of mimosas to the table we were informed that we could not get due to not three ppl at the table. A nice place with a big menu and prompt service. The attention to detail is what dropped the stars to 3. My pancakes looked good but were served warm instead of hot off the griddle and not cooked enough in the center. The over medium eggs were cooked right, the patty sausage was mediocre and again not hot and the grits tasted okay but would have been very good if hot! The coffee is okay and the prices are average. Our server was friendly but not really attentive to details of the food. If they pay more attention to getting the orders hot out of the kitchen they could really be a special place! read more

Finally tried this two days ago at lunch time. Hardly anyone in the restaurant. Ordered the eggs Benedict with corned beef hash and husband got their big BLT. My plate sat under the lights for at least 10-15 minutes while his BLT was being made. Saw this happening with other orders as well. Mine was like warm at best. His sandwich, while having a decent portion of bacon, had a slice of tomato that you could read the Bible through! Been there, done that, won't return. read more

I live in Shallotte and always get excited and try out any new establishments that get added to the town, so, of course, I had to try this new acquisition. Went in for lunch and ordered a burger and a wrap. 20 minutes later I received my food. The food was alright, mediocre I would describe, maybe the breakfast is better than their lunch. The food as a whole was very under seasoned, especially the homefries. Thankfully salt and pepper was presented with the food. I guess my main problem is that Highway 55 and BurgDog in Shallotte makes a better burger and fries for cheaper. read more

Our waitress, Meghan, was awesome. My husband had grits, eggs, bacon and sausage. The portions were very generous and was very good. (Some places just can't get the grits right!).
