Eggs Up Grill was good overall. Nothing jaw dropping, but it did what it needed to do. The staff was genuinely kind and the service was on point. The space felt clean and welcoming, which I appreciated. I got the Crabacado Scrambler which was tasty but some of the avocados were definitely browning. My friend ordered the Crab Cake Benny and she really enjoyed it. The portion size was decent so we all left satisfied. It is a dependable breakfast spot, just not something I would go out of my way for.

Simple breakfast. Well done! Served by Hi-D (aka Heidi). Two eggs, crispy bacon, home fried, sourdough toast. Delicious and prefect.

Went here for breakfast today and had a very friendly and professional service from Chris. I ordered the eggs Benedict and it was delicious; served with potatoes. This is certainly one of the best breakfast restaurants to go to. Very clean, friendly and nice atmosphere. I shall be back!!!

If you like institutional food, you'll love it here. Great staff and service, just mediocre food though.

Late night dinner was fantastic! We started of by sharing…read moresome mussels which were cooked perfectly and the garlic sauce was so tasty that we asked for more bread to dip into it. I had the shrimp & grits & my husband had the sautéed pasta Bourguignon. Both delicious! We both had the summer sangria, also fantastic!

The results were mixed for us…read more The salmon dip appetizer was a fun twist on the more traditional trout or whitefish more frequently found in fish dips. The vichyssoise was a disappointment. The flavor was ok, but it was a thin bowl of broth rather than a creamy textural soup that I expected in a vichyssoise. It was also served with table spoons, not soup spoons, which made it difficult to eat (maybe a straw would have been better). My husband had the steak, which was perfectly cooked. I ordered the pasta bourguignon. If it hadn't been listed on the menu, I wouldn't have known there was beef in the pasta. I saw and tasted none. Cocktails were delicious and well crafted. The ambience pleasant as we walked in, and it wasn't too crowded yet as we had an early reservation. However we were seated in the back, in an alcove with 3 tables in it. The alcove was like an echo chamber. With only one couple near us and a half full restaurant, all the sounds were so enhanced in the alcove that we could barely hear each other. That area really needs curtains or fabric on the walls to dampen the sound effects. It was really unpleasant. Not writing Rotie off. Other members of my party enjoyed their entrees, particularly the salmon. I may have just chosen poorly that night.

The atmosphere was probably my favorite part--casual enough for a quick brunch but still nice enough for a day-date. Our server was friendly and checked on us several times without being overwhelming. We waited about 15 minutes for our food, which felt reasonable for how busy they were. Definitely somewhere I'd come back to. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a relaxed brunch with good food and friendly service. You don't have to join the waitlist but I'd recommend it!

This location does not serve alcohol as compared to the Woodruff Road location a few miles north. So, if that's your thing for brunch, it's another 10 minutes up the road. They have a wide selection here of both sweet and savory items. Bowls, hashes, wraps, and of course the Million Dollar Bacon (for an extra $3 if you order a breakfast entree). I had the classic with grits. Let's talk about grits. They use Bob's Red Mill yellow corn grits, which are coarse ground, served with butter, and they are pretty good! I'm picky about folks overly creaming or over cheesing their grits. These were cooked so that the creaminess comes from the corn, in part, and they were not gummy. I substituted the grits for the potatoes on the Classic. That's two cage free eggs, four slices of bacon, and whole grain thick sliced toast. You can have smoked ham or turkey or pork sausage links or chicken sausage patties and gluten free bread is also available (no charge to substitute). So they are really going for the healthier options and conscience of providing good choices. My eggs were correctly done over medium. My buddy had turkey sausage biscuits and gravy, two eggs and grits. Coffee is decent, and they set a carafe on the table as well as a milk jug/wine carafe of cold water. I believe the entrees were around $14 each. The service was fine, we sat for a while after eating without being rushed. This is a solid breakfast, especially for those who would like a larger variety of options. Three stars is good, four stars is amazing. It was good, but not amazing, however I definitely will eat here again.
