Update on my review. The place is always clean, we're greeted warmly and seated right away. It's always like this. Exceptional service every time we come and we've been coming here for four plus years. They even let me get a lunch item at 10:30. Got the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs are tasty with peppers, the sauce is flavorful with onions, garlic and lots of herbs. Chunks of tomato and it was saucy! I love the dang sauce! It has the flavor of yesterday's sauce and got all those flavors. Perfect!! The spaghetti was El Dante, not undercooked or overcooked at all. There was the perfect amount of food, three good sized meatballs and cheese toast on the side. I've had this dish twice and it's perfect. I'll always get this again. For a beverage I got the "green drink" yes it's called that There isn't any bananas in it but tastes like there is. It's very good. read more

We found this place with the power of social media. We were the first group on a Sunday, a bit chilly in the morning, so bring a light coat. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive to us. We had a party of 9 and it didn't seem like a big deal for her. I had the breakfast burrito, I thought it was gonnabe more on the cheesy side with the description, but they used Mexican cheese, so it was the crumble. I guess the sad part was it was on the outside of the burrito, not inside. I also got a side of their house-made jalapeño chicken patty. The texture was similar to a sausage patty, I wanted to like it, but it needed a dipping sauce or something. Someone got a French toast, it was plentiful but on the sweet side. The meaty omelette, was good, they use chorizo, so heads up. It was standard, no complaints. Someone else got the salmon dish, she liked it. Six (five and a child) came on a Sunday afternoon and got seated inside. Everything that we saw being delivered to other tables looked delicious! Four of us ordered the Parmesan brioche toast a the other got the croquet madame. Each with a side of bacon and breakfast potatoes. The croquet madame was good but very cheesy. The Parmesan brioche toast had great flavor and the tomatoes were very herby. We also ordered mimosas and green tea. Overall we enjoyed our brunch and the service and ambience were great. Such a charming little brunch spot! We were greeted by incredibly friendly service. Sadly we came on a rainy day so we could utilize the adorable, however the interior of the restaurant is quaint and cute. The menu is rather small but offers a great variety of options. The breakfast burrito was delicious and the baguette French toast was uniquely delicious. This is located in a popular spot so parking can be a little tricky. Been here a couple times and every time it is a slam dunk. The presentation is stunningly gorgeous on every dish; the flavors are unbelievable, and everything is so well done. They have a lovely quaint patio for dining in warmer months, and their corner location provides a great atmosphere for downtown dining. 3/4 of us ordered the breakfast burrito, which was filled with all the things I would put in a breakfast burrito -beans, potatoes, poblanos, and queso, and it came in a decent portion size. The flavors worked really well together, although the burrito could've been a bit warmer, and I only got about 5 potatoes on the side. It was indulgent without being too heavy. And of course, we had to try the classic Eggs Benedict. It checked all the boxes--comforting, rich, and filling. An amazing little brunch/lunch cottage directly across from Trolley Square. It's a small and cozy place and quite popular so it's not uncommon to wait an hour for a table after they open. There's a few outside tables but mainly inside seating. I tried one of their signature items the Parmesan Brioche Toast. DELICIOUS! It's served on a bed of arugula with some prosciutto, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce. Also a small side of breakfast potatoes are included. I added a side of their homemade pork sausage for a little more protein. Wow the flavors of this dish were amazing. I almost licked my plate. The service was prompt and friendly and although a small place with every table full the servers kept an eye on everyone. Our coffee was kept full and our server made sure we had what we needed. It took quite a while for someone to bring us menus and take our order, and after our food arrived, we didn't see our server again until about 15 minutes after we had finished eating. When it came time to pay, the process was confusing and frustrating. The server handed us the card reader with tip options of 15%, 20%, and 25%, so we selected one. After getting the receipt back, we realized a gratuity had already been added before we chose a tip. This wasn't mentioned by the server, and there was nothing on the menu indicating that gratuity would be automatically included. There also wasn't an option to leave a 0% tip on the screen. Overall, it felt very misleading, and we ended up tipping close to 40% without realizing it. Very disappointing. read more

The pain perdu was for sure the star of the meal- I recommend ordering a plate to share for the table. My mom and sister got the salmon hash and I got the quinoa bowl. I enjoyed all the elements in my dish, but do wish there was more tahini drizzled on top. Everything was satisfying and filling, and our server was friendly and fast (despite it being quite busy on Christmas Eve). I was so excited to finally check this place out! It's a quaint little cafe in a converted house on the corner of 700 E and 600 S. I don't even remember if they have a sign outside? There are only a few tables - maybe 10? inside. We luckily didn't have a wait because we went on a weekday, but there is definitely a wait here on the weekends. They put their heart and soul into their avocado toast! This is one of the best avocado toasts I've ever had. It's topped with hummus, tahini, everything bagel seasoning, an herb aioli, pickled onions, tomatoes, arugula, banana peppers, with a side of a hard boiled egg. Service was not good. They rushed us out. I hope they don't do this to everyone. I should add: they brought out the wrong order and left so fast I had to go get them to let them know. The hostess, smirked and laughed when she watched the tall server tell us there were people waiting. There was no one waiting, and, there were three tables available other than our table. Same size, with two chairs. After all that I've got to say, the food was bland, which is why I needed salt and pepper. If food is properly seasoned, it doesn't need salt and pepper. Extremely disappointed that with a party of 5, we were not told anything about 20% gratuity being included, and were still presented an extra tip option when the service was not good. The only time we got service was when we ordered, got our food, and then paid. We ended up tipping almost 40% which was extremely unfortunate. It also did not say on the menu that gratuity would be included. Charming establishment to eat brunch. We had the French toast and the salmon tartine and a side of jalapeño chicken sausage. The sausage was bone dry and chewy, stay away. The French toast was really delicious with the cream and orange butter sauce but was so expensive for pretty much eating bread... very petite bread.... The salmon tartine had great texture and flavor, my only complaint was the amount of cream cheese on it was too much and grossed me out, I almost asked for another piece of bread because the toppings overwhelmed the toast underneath. Service was pretty good but they missed refilling our waters. I think it's a good quality place to go, but overall way too expensive for the portions. read more
