Still one of the best bacon egg and cheese sandwiches you will ever get. Not the cheapest establishment. But you will get quality, fresh food.
The Fairfax sandwich is BOMB. So good, so buttery, so soft, and flavorful with chives and caramelized onions. Highly recommend. It doesn't look that big but it is pretty filling. The truffle hashbrowns were very good as well, although I felt that they were a little overpriced for the portion size. (6 small hashbrowns for about $6). Even though the line was long on a Monday (Labor Day) morning, it moved pretty fast. Once we placed our order, it took about 5-8 minutes for the food to be ready. The food is so rich that if you're not getting a drink, I'd recommend you ask for some water.
Eggslut is still delicious, but pricier now of course! Did an early morning runyon hike and stopped by GCM on the way home. The line was not long so ordered a sausage egg sandwich, fresh OJ and truffle tots. $25 total. Service was fine and it took about 15 minutes to get our food. Looked like alot of delivery orders were coming in as well. Sandwich was filling and the egg was over medium so yolk popped all out of my sandwich. Everything in the sandwich mixed well though. Tots were good but pretty basic. For over $5 for a "fresh squeezed orange juice" they need to make the cups bigger. Felt like i got a kiddy cup and was way over priced. Overall its still delicious and a vibe but get ready to wait a while and empty your wallet!
Service was great. The line wasn't too long and another person came to help cashier. I've been here multiple times and this is THE WORST experience I've had. We got the slut, Fairfax (added avocado and bacon), truffle fries and cinnamon toast cold brew. Meal was good, like it's been before. Now comes the horrifying experience. Halfway through my cinnamon toast cold brew coffee... I take a huge sip and something is halfway in my mouth and halfway in the straw. It was long light colored hair *barf*!!! I've never had this happen before so naturally I'm horrified and disgusted.
I've been wanting to try Eggslut for years and finally got around to it. I got the slut with bacon and the truffle hash browns. The hash browns were so good. I could definitely taste the truffle. The bacon was nice and crispy. The slut is a coddled egg with potato purée. It was pretty good and it comes with toasted bread. I'm glad that I tried it but next time I would try a sandwich or the French toast. The line was long but it moved very quickly. I was told my food would take ten minutes but it was ready in less than five. I didn't know what to do with the glass jar that the slut comes in. I asked and they told me to either keep it or toss it, which seems kind of a waste.
A delicious but pricey breakfast‑burger spot. While the surrounding shops are still asleep, this place already has a long line at 8 a.m. They only have locations in L.A. County, so I have to drive 43 minutes from Irvine to eat here. Sausage, Egg & Cheese Sandwich: This is the one I think tastes the best. The chicken sausage is shaped into a patty, and with the mayo, the jammy egg, and the brioche bun, it's genuinely delicious. Calling it an elevated McMuffin isn't an exaggeration. Their brioche bun is excellent. Even after sitting for 20 minutes and cooling down, it stays soft, fragrant, and slightly sweet. Double Cheeseburger with Bacon: Tasty, but the $20 price tag for a single burger shocks me. The best part is the satisfaction of biting into the double patties loaded with caramelized onions, special mayo, and runny egg yolk. The extra $3.50 bacon is good too--neither overly salty nor too tough. Egg Salad Sandwich: The organic egg salad mixed with arugula, chives, and honey mustard tastes good, though not particularly mind‑blowing. Slut: Honestly, the toast itself is just okay, but dipping it into the egg‑potato mixture is a creative way to eat it. A glass jar holds a sous‑vide organic soft‑boiled egg blended with potato purée, topped with a sprinkle of sea salt and chives. Before eating, it's best to stir the egg and potato thoroughly so the salt doesn't stay concentrated on top. Cinnamon Toast Cold Brew & Vanilla Cream Cold Brew: Slightly bitter, slightly acidic, and pretty enjoyable. The ingredients differ, but they actually taste quite similar. The kind of breakfast spot that makes you consider moving closer just for convenience. One of my favorite places to grab breakfast in Grand Central Market. Every time I'm in LA I somehow end up back here, which probably says everything you need to know. The food is consistently good, reasonably priced for LA, and the atmosphere inside the market makes the whole experience better. You order on one side, pick up on the other when they call your name, and the whole process is surprisingly quick considering how busy it gets. One thing I really like is that there are plenty of places to sit throughout the market, so if the seating near Eggslut is full you can just wander a little and usually find somewhere to post up. Definitely split the French toast sticks with at least one or two people unless you're trying to speedrun a sugar crash before noon. They're ridiculously good. Also worth noting, the bacon egg and cheese comes with ketchup on it automatically. Some people will love that, others will take it as a personal attack, so ask them to hold it if ketchup on eggs is not your thing. Great spot, good food, fast service, and the kind of vibe that reminds you why Grand Central is one of the best food spots in LA.
First time coming here and didnt realize there were soo many other places to eat at. Eggslut was the first booth that we saw. I got the egg salad, cinnamon toast cold brew and wanted to try the slut as well. I love the ct cold brew. I wished they haf a bigger size that it definitely wasnt enough. The egg salad was creamy with probably mayo,salt and pepper and went well with the arugula. They always gave a fork with it. The slut was okay. It was super butter but felt weird because you are dipping bread into mashed potato and egg.
I went to Eggslut before in Vegas and did not realize there were multiple locations scattered across the world. Whoops. Anyhow, unlike Vegas, the line at the Grand Central Market wasn't as long. Therefore, it didn't take me very long to get my Fairfax Sandwich. I didn't go overboard with truffle hash browns this time because I was flying out from LAX later in the evening. However, the sandwich was quite good. Also, I didn't order the cold brew because it was still a very small size. But at least the sandwich tasted quite fgood.
Simply the best breakfast sandwich I've ever had. I also loved the hash browns and the french toast. The side salad is a nice side to have if you want some greens with your breakfast. Good coffee too. Service was nice.
What I thought was a social media campaign turned into a legit meal for an egg lover. Chives mixed with the right amount of eggs and cheese plus spicy mayo created a balanced flavor. Not to mention the soft bun! Every bite is satisfying. I paired it with vanilla cream cold brew Service was fast and friendly, even with a crowd! Love the cozy bar seating too!
I'm glad this spot lived up to the hype. Our hotel's breakfast was weak, and we were walking distance to GCM, so we ate here twice. The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was bomb. I also liked the egg salad. But the truffle hashbrowns tossed in duck fat were addicting. My kid loved the French toast sticks and fresh OJ. Definitely one of my favorite breakfast spots.
Came to Grand Central Market on 7/3 and was so happy that Egg Slut was open! The hubs and I shared a Fairfax and a Slut. The line was about 5 minutes long with about a 10 minute wait after ordering. Not bad at all! It was crowded today but definitely worth the wait. We found covered seating right outside at a table, which was so convenient. There were tables without covering too, but a bit too warm for today. The Fairfax was meatless with lightly scrambled eggs, chives and cheddar cheese on a very soft Brioche bun. Some filling oozed out-it was a generous serving! The slut with lightly toasted bread was phenomenal! So yummy! Loved the silky egg on top of the textured potato puree. The perfect combo on the toast! There is parking associated with Grand Central Market but we were fortunate to find free street parking today due to the holiday!
Every time I have been at Grand Central Market and desired to get something from the The Egg Slut, there is a huge line. This time however, on a Wednesday afternoon, around lunch time, there was no crowd at all. So I ordered the Slut. It is a cage-free coddled egg on top of house-made potato purée, cooked in a glass jar topped w/ grey salt and chives, w/ slices of baguette. The egg was cooked perfect, nice and soft and the yolk, almost runny. However, the potato purée was grainy and tasted like it was made from a box of freeze dried potato flakes. The preparation also lacked creaminess, that buttery feel, salt and pepper. The service was indifferent. No eye contact, no greeting, no smile. Instead, the crew spent time loudly chatting with each other, and didn't seem to have any customer service skills. read more

Got the signature Slut, which I very much enjoyed. Coddled egg on a potato purée served with baguette. Plus a truffle hash brown fried in duck fat with rosemary salt. The hash brown was everything. Just a fun breakfast place. Four stars only, even though I have not a single complaint about the food, because I'm not sure about the value. read more

Eggslut is consistently good! There's always a line and a bit of a wait but it's worth it :) Fairfax ($8.75) + Bacon ($3): Our go to sandwich here. Their scrambled eggs and brioche buns are on soft & fluffy. Bacon elevates this sandwich. All the flavors are on point. Truffle Hash Brown ($4.25): You can really taste the truffle and the hash browns are nice and crispy. read more

Do you even know where you're going is the question I asked myself. I didn't. I was just being spontaneous and willing to try a new place for breakfast. I'm so glad that I found Eggslut. I was expecting a small storefront but it's actually located in a vibrant and creative food venue. There's great energy all around. My breakfast sandwich from Eggslut was delicious! Forget etiquette you'll be licking your fingers for sure. Definitely go check it out. The orange juice was awesome too. read more

The hashbrowns were my favorite thing here! You don't get many and they're pricey but oh they're worth it! My bf got the farmers something and that was delicious and cheesy. My egg salad was meh. It's more of a lunch sandwich than breakfast but I didn't care for the flavor it had. One thing I will say is that these are very filling. You do have to wait for your food a bit but in the mean time you can go get a coffee from elsewhere and or a donut, which I did. They do have a few seats at the counter and some tables but it stays busy. read more
We've been coming ever since it opened when we lived in LA but finally writing a review. There are other locations now but this location is more convenient to get to and we like to stop by LA. Our favorite is the Fairfax and the Egg Slut. All their breakfast Sandwiches come in a Toasted Brioche bun but if you need to do no carbs then you have an option of a frisée salad. The Egg Slut with toasted Endpoint is the best imho. The soft egg surrounded by potato purée together in a jar (Forgot to take a pic). This place gets busy the wait is not too bad. Kudos to Chef Alvin Cailan who started EggSlut from a food truck. I love watching that guy on food shows. read more
Eggslut never disappoints!! It's honestly such a vibe to come here early and treat yourself to a simple yet amazing breakfast. I got the Fairfax sandwich with bacon this time. The sandwiches are always delicious and the fresh orange juice is SO refreshing! It's a must with your egg sando. The line gets long but it moves fast. The food comes out super fast too! There's a small counter for you to enjoy your meal at or a bunch of small tables located right in front of Eggslut. Great location because you can walk around the Grand Central Market and enjoy some other foods/ vendors. read more
A modern classic breakfast stop in DTLA. Love the location inside the market, I always dig footballs, and they have a prime location in it.Their sausage egg and cheese delivers every time. This is the first time I tried it with their hot sauce, which is a welcome addition. The simplicity of their menu lends to their consistency, and their service is always fast and friendly. read more
Had to come check out the hype! Famous chain here in LA, so I had to stop by on a weekend! The place was very busy and crowded, so be prepared for that! They call your number out, so also make sure you are paying attention! There was a long line, but thankfully it moved pretty quickly. I got the bacon egg and cheese and the slut. Portion size was on the smaller end, so I would recommend getting multiple items per person. BEC - bacon was crispy, egg was nicely cooker, bread was soft. Came out piping hot, just as I wanted it! Slut - this is the famous dish. Unfortunately, it was't my favorite. I loved the egg, but I thought the bread was a bit too crunchy. It wasn't able to totally soak up the egg yolk when dipped. There are long lines for Eggslut, but honestly the portions are pretty small for how pricey it is. The food tastes good, but definitely not worth the long wait or high price. always very busy very popular for the morning breakfast. not that many selections for drinks. It didn't like that. This was in a market place where there'a a variety of places to eat at. Chose to eat here and it was really good. I got bacon, egg, cheese and sausage. I also got toys but I wouldn't recommend them. I would rate the burger a 7.2 and the fries a 3.5. Definitely would go again just for the burger read more
Anyone who follows the LA food scene has probably heard about Eggslut before. Located inside of Grand Central Market, this breakfast spot specializes in egg sandwiches. I had a hard time deciding which sandwich to get until I heard someone in line next to me talk about the Fairfax sandwich. Out of a whim, I decided to order that along with a side of truffle hash browns. The sandwich itself was good, but I felt like it was missing texture or crunch. The brioche bun is really soft and the sandwich just felt like mush after a few bites. Next time I come back, I'll definitely order it with sausage or bacon. Overall, still a decent sandwich. The hash browns were also average to me. I didn't get too much of the truffle flavor at all and the portion was a bit small for the price. read more
I had been curious about this absurdly busy spot at Grand Central Market, but Jamie W. and I really didn't have the patience to wait in the unending queue. Well, we were in the market earlier this week and thought we'd pick up a couple of donuts at The Donut Man (review: https://bit.ly/34RGxx3). However, given it's the dead of an L.A. winter, they weren't making their Fresh Strawberry or Fresh Peach donuts. Darn the luck. It was then our opportunity to wait in the barely moving line for Eggslut. A part of me was wondering why it was taking so long to make what I perceived to be Sausage McMuffin knock-offs. It took about 25 excruciating minutes to get to the order taker. Luckily the menu was taped on the wall while we were waiting, so we were ready. It took another ten minutes to get the order though it was pure chaos. The primary guy fulfilling the orders wasn't really helping matters much by mixing Uber Eats orders with live ones. I was subject to the disorganized morass, and he felt the instant wrath of a customer who waited forty minutes to get the wrong order. He told me to keep the extra slut. I asked him he didn't know me enough to call me a slut. Anyway, Jamie finally got his order of the $8.75 Bacon, Egg & Cheese Sandwich. Yep, it was better than a McMuffin as it had applewood smoked bacon, a medium-over egg, cheddar cheese, and chipotle ketchup between a warm brioche bun (photo: https://bit.ly/3XTbYhd). Pretty delicious. I was the one that ordered the $9 Slut, their signature item, and ended up with a pair of them. What they did was coddle an egg over housemade potato purée and cook it in a glass jar they didn't encourage people to recycle. As tourists, I'm not sure when we'll be back especially since the line at The Donut Man moved a lot faster. FOOD - 4 stars...the egg specialties were tasty but c'mon, forty minutes? I can't fault the staff for being busy, but there's got to be a better working model than this. Nahhh. Bro. This slut is pretty but she for the streets!!!! Nope. Give her back. The hype is all really it is. Like Paris Hilton early 2000s. Famous for being famous. Ordered a sausage egg and cheese and no cap ... I thing The Clown is better. Basic sandwich but the bread was dry and the big box frozen sausage patty was chewy and looked grey?? Threw it out. Next the "get them while they last". $4 buttermilk biscuit. Mmhhh. I think I could have used it to break a window. Hard as a rock most likely from yesterday's batch and microwave heated. Redemption--- the egg is goey and real. Other than that. Throw that hoe back Totally disappointed. Maybe this is better when they are busier? Do better u slut! read more

3.5 stars This was my first time at an Eggslut and just wanted to try it for myself! This spot is inside of Grand Central Market and the line was pretty long at around 10AM on a Wednesday. The line moves fast and comes out quick. The menu is a little more limited than other locations (according to my husband), but they had enough. FOOD/DRINK: ~The Slut (4/5): mashed potatoes with an egg on top in a little cup. Comes with two pieces of bread. Tried this because it was so unique. It was very tasty, but for $9, seemed a little high ~Truffle Hashbrowns (5/5): subtle truffle flavor, super crispy hashbrowns with soft insides ~The Fairfax Sandwich with avocado and bacon (3.5/5): A standard egg sandwich with good add ons. Again, it tasted fine, but had a high price point ~Cold brew (5/5): really enjoyed it Overall, Eggslut lived up to the hype for me and worth a try for anyone who hasn't! read more
For a while now I've been waiting to try this place for breakfast and it did not disappoint! So after looking at the menu and trying to decide, I tried the Bacon, egg and cheese sandwich along with a Fairfax salad & coffee. Everything was fantastic, the salad was fresh with the scrambled eggs, cheese, caramelized onions & chives. Then after the bacon sandwich was phenomenal, thick cuts of bacon with cheese chipotle mayo, avocado, & an over medium egg to pop was the meal to make my day. The coffee was good too. Eggslut is super awesome and really taste. The bread is toasted properly and the bacon is cooked damn near perfectly. The egg could have been seasoned a little but it was cooked well. I'm not too sure why this place is so popular. This is a prime example of the hype isn't real. Nothing is terrible aside from the customer service which isn't anything to brag about. I ordered a simple bacon, egg and cheese. It was good the standout ingredient was the fresh bun, but the scrambled eggs and bacon I feel you could get that anywhere. Luckily they had a fresh orange juice machine to wash down this basic breakfast sandwich. The line was incredibly long and there's nowhere to sit (especially the Venice Beach location). If you're in DTLA in need of a breakfast sandwich or burrito fix I'd recommend "Birdies" fried chicken breakfast burrito. You're welcome read more

The truffle hash browns were INCREDIBLE! You can taste the truffle at the end of the bite. They were so crispy (even crispier than McDonald's). I also got the egg salad. The brioche bun was soft. The egg salad tasted like I expected an egg salad to taste. Nothing exceptional, but it was good. If I could go back again, I would get something with their scrambled eggs! I saw the employees making them, and it was super fluffy and jiggly. Ordering was efficient, and even thought there was a long line, the wait was around 30 minutes from when we got into line to when we got our food. read more
The Eggslut craze is real and it seems like the hype surrounding this place has continued to stay alive for over 10 years- which is super impressive. I finally made my way to the Grand Central Market to try Eggslut for the first time, and it did not disappoint. I parked in the attached lot (90min for $4 and an additional $2 for every 15 minutes) and came around 10am on Friday. The market itself wasn't crowded at all and there was a mini line at Eggslut. We waited less than ten minutes in line and waited maybe five minutes for our food. Bacon, Egg, and Cheese: a classic. While the brioche bun may look like too much bread, it is squishy and soft. The eggs were a beautiful orange color and the bacon was perfectly cooked. Although the cheese wasn't super melty, the chipotle ketchup added a nice moistness to the entire sandwich. Truffle Hashbrowns: made with duck fat, rosemary, and salt, these crispy hashbrowns were perfection. OJ: fresh OJ and soooo refreshingly delicious. The perfect drink to have alongside your breakfast sandwich. I'm a fan of Eggslut and will definitely be back again. You can taste the quality of ingredients in their food and the workers are all very friendly. Also, considering the price inflation, the prices here are pretty affordable. I've seen breakfast sandwich prices at LA cafes be upwards of $12! For basically $9, I think this sandwich is worth it. Love this place! read more

10/10! best breakfast we had in LA! So glad we saw it walking the day before, they close at 2 so we couldn't get it then though. Our hotel was conveniently located a few blocks away so we walked over this morning and we're so happy we did! The service was excellent, staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Would recommend trying the slut with avocado and truffle hash browns! We got the sausage egg and cheese sandwich and the Fairfax as well, both were excellent! Incredibly delicious! Wish we had an eggslut back home in Hawaii! read more

The Grand Central location was more packed than expected, but with sandwiches that good, the line made sense. Their set up was cute and clean, and their service was streamlined. I loved my bacon caged free egg on briotte bun sandwich it was cooked perfectly with a bit of the yolk running onto the applewood bacon crispy and sweet it was amazing. it was served with lots of love from the cook. and with tater tots. I love the fast busy workers getting our food out and making sure it is hot. It was set inside a large market place inside a beautiful high called ceilings which gave it a nice open air conditioning effect you could smell all the different aromas from the variety of cuisines available to seat and eat. read more

No. Tried to go the other day and was very disappointed. Only a few shops in the Grand Central Market are open. Good luck!
Is there a line forming before they open? Is 8AM on a Friday morning a good time to show up and avoid a line or should I get there early? I heard about long lines here.
