Nice brunch spot if you're looking for one in ktown with parking and less congested area. I was here last Saturday after 10am, found street parking in front. Got in and it was already busy and I was seated even though my cousin and her partner have not arrived. They ended up being late but the servers were really nice. I ordered latte and the French toast sampler while waiting. The French toast is really good - I picked 3 flavors- the Plain, Nutella and strawberries and crème. I will recommend this because you get a sampling of 3 different kinds of French toast and I like variety so this is perfect. The vibe is casual and I would say fun, very chill. They serve mimosa flights too and some cocktails if you're into that for brunch. They have a parking lot and I think they have a waitlist in yelp which I didn't even use as I might be early enough and got in before they got busy. When my cousin finally arrived they ordered the chicken and waffle and I believe a chicken wrap. I didn't try it but they seem to enjoy their food. read more

Was in the area and tipped by this place. They have self parking, (your tip is your payment) and plenty of seating inside. The staff were welcoming but not too attentive. I ordered the French toast ham and cheese sandwich. While the food wasn't horrible, it just missed some flavor components. The sandwich was too soggy to my liking and the fries needed more seasoning. The Sunday vibe at this location is lowkey and chill, it wasn't too busy and I plan to return to give this place another try and sample some of their other menu items read more

Okay so, I'm not gonna lie, I wasnt too impressed. The food was just okay, kinda bland honestly, and I didn't really get the sense that the staff cared about the little things. They seemed busy and distracted, like they couldn't be bothered to make sure my breakfast was actually good. If the staff isn't engaged, then honestly, neither am I. Plus it was a bit overpriced for what it was. Maybe that's just how it is in LA, I don't know. But tomorrow? Yeah, I'm definitly finding somewhere else to eat. read more

The last time I went to HCAFE was about 10 years ago, and I remember it being really good, so I was excited to try it again. We came for brunch on a Sunday and arrived right before closing. Overall, the experience was okay. The service was awesome--everyone was very nice, and the servers were attentive and friendly. Our food came out quickly, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the food quality wasn't quite what I remembered. I ordered the French toast, which was good but nothing special--just okay. We also shared the chicken and waffle sandwich, which we didn't really care for. The chicken was greasy and could have been much crispier, and the waffles were soggy, which really took away from the sandwich overall. The drinks were fine; I ordered a seasonal coffee-toffee drink, which was decent but not memorable. The restaurant itself is cute and has a nice ambiance inside the hotel, and the service definitely stood out in a positive way. However, the food quality just didn't live up to my past experience, which was a bit disappointing. read more

i've come to H cafe 3 times now, and service has been great on all occasions. I brought my SO and his mom here for brunch, and they really enjoyed the food. I enjoy their loaded breakfast potatoes - spicy and delicious, I wish they were a tad bit crunchier though. we also got an order of the pumpkin french toast, a seasonal option during the holidays, and it was very good! good balance of pumpkin and sweet french toast. we'll be back! read more

This cafe is attached to a hotel, we came in on a Friday morning and were seated quickly. Our server, Foxy, was very attentive and helped us narrow down our options. I started with their fresh squeezed orange juice which of course was delicious! The other two people with me got the French toast with strawberries and whipped cream. One of them did say that one of their pieces was a little soggy in the middle. I got the biscuits and gravy with their country potatoes. I thought mine was delicious, the potatoes were a little salty but I like my potatoes that way, I could see some people not enjoying that. Unless you're staying at the hotel (or I guess because you're staying at the hotel lol), the main reason to come here is for BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS. It's been a few months, but last time we were here it was $30 a person which is a pretty frickin amazing deal. They offer multiple flavors to choose from, and I recommend trying them all--if you dare. The only catch is that you have to order an entree if I remember correctly, which you probably want to do anyways if you're gonna drink this much... Not completely awful but my friend and I decided on the spot that it is not a place we would visit again. The avocado toast was close to $20 and just one piece of rustic bread with super vinigary tasting avocado. Almost everything is cooked in beef tallow. So, not a good spot for vegetarians. Attended H Cafes grand opening of their Happy Hour / Live Music night. Drinks were yummy and at a good price. We had the Brussels sprouts, hummus, sliders and pastrami fries. Food was delicious! H Cafe continues to reign supreme for brunch/lunch spots in Ktown of LA. Whether you're grabbing a wing flight which includes 3 different types of wings, the French toast sampler (you're able to choose amongst 4 different kinds of French toast) or going with the chicken ciabatta, H cafe will not disappoint. Oh--and a must have is their espresso martinis! My suggestion is to get it with tequila instead of vodka. The food overall was just okay. We got a matcha latte and drip coffee (side of almond milk) for our drinks which was decent. We got the French toast sampler with strawberries and cream, regular strawberries and plain but it didn't taste like there was any "cream cheese" in the strawberries and cream. Also, all of the French toast pieces were really mushy in the middle. We also got a breakfast burrito which was bland but the sauces pan the side were really good and saved the burrito. We unfortunately never saw our server after he took our order and when I went to the bathroom after the meal is when I finally saw him to ask for the check. It felt like about 30 minutes or so to get our food which seemed like a long time for French toast and one burrito but maybe it was busy. Overall, it was an okay experience. Nothing to race about but the inside decor was really nice and felt like you were in a downtown loft. read more

If a restaurant automatically adds gratuity or service charge, especially for a single diner, that should be clearly disclosed before you order or at least be prominently stated in the beginning. A 20% tip should reflect exceptional service. That wasn't the experience I had. The lack of transparency left a bad impression and felt dishonest. With so many great restaurants in Los Angeles that offer better food, better service, and straightforward billing, I wouldn't recommend this place.

Thankfully that wait is not TOO long compared to the 2-3 hour wait lines during peak, and 3rd street is very walkable. This place is truly a hidden gem in Los Angeles! Honestly, I've lived in this area for a full 10 years, driving through countless times every day, yet I never knew how wonderful it was. First of all, the service is absolutely fantastic! The waiters, bartenders, and chefs are always smiling and incredibly welcoming, making you feel right at home. Their chicken wings are top-notch in Los Angeles--don't argue with me, go argue with those over-the-top wing shops, haha! I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon for brunch. There was a quick wait, and my party of 2 was seated within fifteen minutes. The restaurant was bustling, but the service was still fast. I tried the Spicy Burrata BLT and the French Toast Sampler. I appreciated the sampler option, as I was able to try the Nutella, Oreo & Cream, and the Strawberries & Cream options. The French toast itself was fluffy, and every flavor was delicious. The Spicy Burrata BLT was a unique twist on a classic sandwich. The Burrata itself had a clear flavor. I liked the crispy bread and fresh ingredients, but overall this dish did not stand out. I was initially excited to visit H Cafe for lunch based on the positive reviews on Yelp, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. First off, as soon as we entered the lobby, there was a strong unpleasant smell. The room was very stuffy, so we chose a seat in the back near the door. The restaurant appeared much smaller and darker than expected, and cleanliness was a noticeable issue. The water glasses provided were dirty. When requesting new glasses from the bartender, she was very friendly and apologetic. I ordered the Salmon Eggs Benedict with fries, while my family opted for the Breakfast Burrito and Chicken and Waffles. My fries were clearly burnt and the hollandaise sauce on my Eggs Benedict had dried up, which meant it had been sitting out for a long time. While the service was good, the cleanliness of the restaurant was subpar, and none of the dishes we ordered seemed worth the price. read more

I have been here like 3 times now. This place has an amazing brunch and and amazing dinner. I love the wings, the fries, and the spicy chicken sandwich. The sauce was insane. The wings just are always perfectly cooked and have the right crispness every time I eat them. I've brought a different group of people here every time I come and the look on their faces is priceless when they try my favorites. On top of that, the service is second to none. Power through the morning with a visit to the H-Cafe in Korea-town. Located to the left of the H-Hotel lobby, this place offers an atmosphere that presents itself as trendy and chill. One unique character that visitors should look out for is the restaurants distinct smell. They certainly want you to get to know them with the pleasant aroma. Lovely place for breakfast. Originally wanted to go to IHOP but it was packed. Turned around and ended up at H Cafe as it was highly rated. An even better decision. Very modern with nice decor, music, and friendly wait staff. Easy online ordering system and helpful staff explaining how it's done. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and biscuits which were both delicious. It came at a good time, not too soon and not too late; just on a good time. We will definitely come back again soon. I just had a really disappointing experience at this overly-hyped spot. I walked in and was seated quickly, but then I waited for over 25 minutes before I decided to leave for not being attended. The staff seemed to be ignoring me, until I spoke to the greeter about it. It's frustrating to be treated like this, especially when the restaurant wasn't even that busy once I sat, there were plenty empty tables. This spot is a must! First off the ambiance is so cute! They have plants everywhere, big windows with great light, and a great playlist! The food is so good and always consistent. The biscuits with their homemade jam reminds me of home. Their homemade hot sauce blew me away! The staff is so friendly, especially the server Randa. They made sure to check up on us several times throughout the visit and explained the menu quite well. If you told me this was a cafe in Pasadena and not DTLA, I'd believe you. The fresh burst of green, the plants everywhere, fresh cut flowers on each table, and the decor (even in the restroom), is actually a breath of fresh air to all the cement and urban cityscape outside. For our brunch, we got the: 1) Fleur Burrito (the cafe's name is in the name, it has to be good, right?): -Huge, generous portion and we had this cut in half. -Comes with scrambled eggs, house made chicken chorizo, rice, black beans, tomato, onion, jalapeno, and cilantro wrapped in a flour tortilla. -You can ask for salsa or hot sauce to the side but the filling was seasoned so well that it wasn't necessary to sauce it up (something I usually do with all of my burritos). -Everything was evenly spaced on the inside, making each bite a delicious mix of textures and tastes. They don't skimp out on the protein either. Good and filling for a long day. 2) Sweet Sunshine: -This is a strawberry, mango, agave, lemon juice and oat milk smoothie. It is a bit pricy for $10, but if you look at Jamba Juice, this is a much better deal with how fresh all the fruit is and how thick the smoothie is. Definitely filled me up to the point where I could only take a couple bites of the burrito and I had more than enough to fill a to go cup on our way out. I know we'll be trapped going to AX in the future, so this may be a yearly stop for us when we're in the area.
