Well, we finally was added to the waiting list to be seated at this location. The greeters were much friendlier here than the Owings Mills location. The wait was about 15 min. Received my text that our table was ready. We were seated just around the corner to the left of the host area. We reviewed the drink and food menus. I already knew I wanted a mimosa. As time passed, our server arrived and we gave our order: strawberry mimosa, Dutch coffee/ the Uneggexpected and Chesapeake Benedict. Out drinks came out first. Hubby let me taste his drink first and to my surprise there was a piece of plastic in the whip cream. I informed another server right away so we could get another one. But as time went on nothing came. I left to use the restroom and came back to our food served and I know I was not gone that long because nothing was hot or warm to the touch. The steak was well seasoned (5 stars). The server came back, and I informed her about the coffee, and she was unaware of the mixup. She did return and advised that the coffee would be taken off our bill. I might try this place again because there was a lot I wanted to try but there was some things I could not ignore, like the French fry in the roasted potatoes (I didn't order fries), or the dust that covered the ledge near our table. Sitting at the bar around 1:30 PM Wednesday afternoon, we ordered a Ruben with Ceasar salad and a Toluca poutine. Ruben was huge, delicious and lean, however, lopsided positioned meat portion. Salad was nice. Poutine was filling and just what I envisioned. Beer pours were a little heady and the Blue Moon was warm. My wife and I were here based upon her recommendation from a previous visit. We will likely return. It has a large parking lot with a few HC spots. It's large and bright inside and has a medium sun room area with its own bar. First time at this location. I will only go to this location if Chef Stella is working. God has blessed her hands !!! Everything I ate was gods work , I can't even feel like I'm being dramatic because the food was moaning amazing. I had to see her in person!! It just blew me away that it was a woman head chef !! I got the lobster Benny ... now I don't ever eat eggs Benedict - ever. Never ever. Today was the day I became a changed woman. The flavor, the softness, the balance between salty and savory. I was here for it !!! I got a side of grits and my own grandma cannot make grits like this. I was in shock. I went with my friend and her kid and they were also in shock with how great the food was. The reason for all of this is because the location in Owings mills is just so subpar. Bland and not good service. Their food makes you not even want to enjoy the chain restaurant. I've been to a few of the other locations and this one is a bit different. The menu is much smaller and is missing the delicious muffins and desserts that the other locations have. The portion sizes are also smaller at this location than at the others. With that said, the food is still really good so I would still recommend it. read more

My friend and I went to Eggspectation and ordered the shrimp & grits and Cajun pasta. Unfortunately, both dishes were watered down and not at all like how they've been in the past. Our waitress, Sabrina B., was absolutely amazing and really did her best to help us, but the manager was completely avoidant. Even after Sabrina told him about our experience, he never acknowledged us or came over to address the issue. At the very end of our service, while we were paying, he handed us a $10 gift certificate, which felt dismissive and unprofessional given the situation. This was really disappointing and distasteful, and although I appreciate Sabrina's efforts, I likely will not be returning to this location. read more

The food was delicious, my party of 3 all got the Eggstravaganza with three separate meats (sausage, ham, and bacon) and it was all yummy. The food itself was a bit bland..it could've all used some salt, pepper, & if you're a local--some Old Bay. Service was PHENOMENAL, everyone was insanely kind and we were checked on more than 5 times for the entirety of our visit. The hostess stand and seating situation needs major work. We walked in and were left basically alone standing there for over 5 minutes until a server noticed us and sat us. There's no hostess stand, or even hostess, at this location. I hope someone from Eggspectation is reading this because a couple easy fixes could have turned my 1 star meal into a 4 star meal. The Good: My companion's salmon and beet citrus salad was good. Generous portion of Salmon, nice presentation, and tasted good (she said could use more citrus, please). Her good meal gets my review to 2 stars. The Bad: the other two dishes we ordered were edging toward inedible for easily remedied reasons. They get 1 Star The Pepperoni pizza had at least twice as much cheese as it should have. I know! I'm complaining about too much of a good thing! But it was one huge cheese glob in my mouth, and I couldn't taste or feel anything else. I have no idea if the crust was any good (it LOOKED good). My teenager - who will eat any pizza - tried a slice the next day from my to go box and noticed the same problem instantly herself and tossed it in the garbage. Just as disappointing was the Poutine with Duck Confit. It was sooooo salty I almost couldn't stomach it (though I did so as to not waste the $19 cost). I am pretty sure the problem was that it was made with SEASONED fries. VERY salty fries + well salted duck + salty gravy + cheese likely also infused with salt = gross salty. I can only guess making Poutine with seasoned fries was a kitchen error that really needs to be prevented. And having lived in Montréal and Ville de Québec for a few years, I wish they'd make Poutine like you get there at the local casse-croûte dives. My serving here was full of distracting meat that was meh but hardly any fries and not a lot of gravy. It also appeared that even though the restaurant claimed to use cheese curds, the cheese was obviously in strip/large shred form, and squeaky cheese curds are roughly orbed shaped. I was surprised you could only order duck poutine. Eggspectation would be well served to offer "normal," to die for, artery clogging poutine: Large bowl of fries, swimming in spiced beef gravy, with melted cheese curds, and NOT made with seasoned fries (and skip the meat). Will I go back? Probably not. But if I do I hope they've remedied these problems. The restaurant has the potential for a good meal. read more

The restaurant is clean and the staff very friendly. Caleb was our waiter and he did a great job. My only issue was a gentleman came in with a service dog that wasn't on a leash. I don't think that is a good idea regardless of how well he is trained. If he bites someone (he is an animal) the only thing his owner could say is "I didn't think he would do that". Went for lunch after graduation and the place was empty. However, drinks and food took forever. I asked that my Bloody Mary come with just celery , no bacon!! After forever it came, with bacon. The waitress said she ordered it without, but still brought it to our table to then be rude about taking it back. Her attitude never improved. Our food also came out wrong. Onions in everything we asked to have none. Either she didn't understand the menu, or the kitchen messed up. Manager was less than helpful. Disappointed. read more

Just ate here in trip to the zoo. Food was delicious. I had their breakfast platter - eggs cooked perfect, ham perfect and tasty. Potatoes with onions were phenomenal. The French toast was one of the best I have ever had. My girls had chicken Caesar salads. Chicken super tender and great. I also ordered the shrimp tacos to take back to the hotel and just ate one - soo delicious. Nice and slightly spicy and full of herbs and flavor. Waitress was super friendly and ultra attentive. Very odd eggsperience this morning. A hostess and possible manager avoided eye contact when we entered for what felt like 3 minutes but was maybe more like one. Multiple people waiting for a table, with multiple clean and empty tables in view. We were told 20 minutes wait, and sat by the very wet entrance killing flies for about 5 minutes before thinking to check recently written Yelp reviews. Decided after reading that it probably wasn't going to work for us and decided to leave. The number of flies really made me rethink wanting to eat here. There is clearly an infestation. Decide for yourself if this is the place for you, I am just sharing my less than favorable first impression. read more

This location is dear to me because it is the former location of a personal favorite of mine, Famous Dave's. When FD left, I had hoped there would be a good replacement. And I'm pleased to say... Eggspectation is an excellent replacement. My experience started with the parking - there's PLENTY of it! You may not get a spot directly by the front door however, for me, that's a non factor. Now let's go to the greeting from the Front Door Hostess. 1st impressions can make or break a dining experience. Thank you Front Door Hostess for being so pleasant. I can only imagine how busy it can get & how many times she has to answer the same question, "How long is the wait?" But she handled our interaction like a seasoned Pro & I appreciated it. When we got the text that they were ready for us, we were promptly seated & soon after that greated by our awesome server, Joyce. She was helpful, knowledgeable & very patient in helping my Lady make her decision. The food came rather quickly & was really good. They warm the syrup guys! This little thing was major for me! I had the Chicken & Waffle while my Lady had the BLT. She's a Bacon Connoisseur & was pleased with her meal. I was pleased with my food as well. Overview: great service & ants. The service at Eggspectation was phenomenal. Everyone was very friendly and they got us seated and brought our food and drinks out quickly for a Saturday brunch. Waiters would stop to say hello. The drinks were strong and the pancakes were delicious. We only had two concerns, but ended up kind of being deal breakers. The avocado toast had clearly been made at least an hour prior; the avocado was hard and beginning to brown. They kindly offered to replace it, but when it came back out, it was clear they had just smeared a bit of fresh avocado over the dried pieces. They did however take it off our bill which was very nice. Our other main concern was the cleanliness of the facility. The floors were sticky everywhere and our shoes stuck to the floor under our booth. And there were ants... tons of ants by the high chairs next to our table. We watched them crawl up the walls as we ate. One crawled up my husbands leg while he was eating. Got the heebie jeebies. Hopefully they work this out. We probably won't be back. read more

Decided to try this new Eggspectation location with some coworkers a few weeks ago and it did not disappoint! We arrived around 8am and got started with some mimosas. I ordered the chicken and waffles and with some hot sauce and syrup, it was delicious! My friends ordered French toast, shrimp and grits and they all said the food was delicious! Their breakfast potatoes and bacon are absolutely to die for! Our waitress was super attentive and kind, the service was great! The ambiance of the restaurant is gorgeous! It looks brand new and super clean and aesthetically pleasing! Only downfall is they don't have the option for bottomless mimosas or mimosas in a pitcher! Hope they change that soon! read more

So I've been to the Owings Mills location several times but this location really earned the stars. Our server Saraya was amazing. She was very personable and accommodating. The entire staff was friendly and alway walked pass with a smile. I loved that this location seemed to be a little larger. There was much more seating and we came in about 9:30 on a Saturday morning and were seated immediately. The lights did keep flickering and we were sitting in the dark at one moment but the staff continued to work and take care of customers. I ordered the eggsuberant breakfast which came with eggs, choice of meat, potatoes and pancakes. They pancakes weren't as fluffy as I wanted but they were still good. I got turkey bacon and turkey sausage. The sausage was my favorite because it was two patties and I was expecting links. The Pattie's were really good. My husband had the signature 3 egg omelette and it was huge and full of meat. I also ordered a strawberry mimosa and absolutely loved it. Man, where do I begin to start! Recently, my wife and I had the misfortune to go to the Eggspectation location in Timonium. What a BIG MISTAKE. The customer service was the worst, to put it mildly. We literally sat at the table for 20 minutes without a server coming over to merely take our water orders. The poor service is a reflection on management and their staff! Never Again! The crostini was ok but kind of bland, the rest of the food was really good. But the stand outs were the pancakes with warm maple syrup and the blue honey shake. My new find. I went to this place when it first opened and I am impressed. Each time I go I am amazed by the wonderful service and nice atmosphere. I had the Huevos Rancheros, the American Breakfast and the BLT on three separate occasions. My son and I just left the restaurant and the server we got was not nice to us at all. It was as if she was forced to serve us. I forgot our takeaway box and immediately returned to get the food and she told me that our takeaway was trashed already. This was really unacceptable.
