As first-time customers at the Eggsperts Cafe, my family & I were highly impressed by the food quality and variety. I loved the coffee so much that I even asked if I would be able to purchase some of their coffee beans to brew at home. Although they do not typically offer their coffee for sale in that manner, our excellent server spoke with the manager and was able to get it worked out to sell us ground coffee by the pound ($15 per/lb). If you want a place to get some good and non-overpriced food... do NOT come here. Although our server was very kind, we were completely unaware of the inability to do separate checks which really ruined the experience. The restaurant itself was very off-putting in the way it looks straight out of a fever dream. Also, a weird cook kept lurking by our table and ruined the enjoyment I could've had with my friends. If you want to start your day off right, I would recommend going to Stacks instead. read more

I was stoked to try this new place, but we waited almost an hour to be seated after being told a 15 min wait. The indoor tables were definitely not spaced apart enough so we opted to sit outside. None of the tables have umbrellas or have shade from the building at all. Once we finally got seated, we ordered waters and our food immediately. Our waitress came outside 3 separate times, about 10-15 minutes, before I got her attention and asked where our waters were. she apologized and ran back inside. 5 more minutes come by and she comes back out with our food. Had to remind her about the waters AGAIN. Mind you it's 83 degrees outside and 0 shade or breeze. We were uncomfortable. I got the chicken and waffles and my boyfriend got a veggie omelet. I'm not sure how they managed to make both meals so completely tasteless. I dumped syrup and even hot sauce on my chicken and waffles and it was still incredibly bland. Boyfriend's omelet was just as bland, also the hash browns it came with were still nearly raw and cold in the middle. We were so severely upset with this place. Good news is that the food and coffee are great! Someone said the hash-browns were not good but mine were better than I usually have had. They have like four types of skillets on the menu but you can tell them anything you want and they will make it for you! The coffee is better than anywhere else and comparable to Original Pancake House! They are wearing masks and socially distancing the patrons and the owner comes around to check if you're satisfied. The not so good is the fact that it is one open room and if children are yelling and screaming, there is not much to absorb the sound, so good luck having a conversation! The prices are about $3 more than surrounding locations. The wait-staff are still getting used to the routine so might wait more than usual too! read more

Happened into this relatively new Orland spot for lunch. Bright and clean, and a server greeted us immediately. Faye was our wonderful server. I ordered the avocado toast. Absolutely delicious!! And my husband had the enormous chicken sandwich which he loved. Even the soup was amazing. My husband raved over the strawberry smoothie. And the personnel were warm and inviting. If I could give this establishment a lower rating I truly would. Very unprofessional and lie to customers about crediting for orders they screwed up. This establishment screwed my order up (didn't receive over half my meal) then when called about it the manager said it was fine to pick up. After calling again at a later date the manager "MJ" said he couldn't help out whatsoever before hanging up in my face. After calling back I was finally able to get the name of the manager and not his street name. "Michael Jr" said he can't give credit due to the order not being placed 5 days after. Let me remind you that the staff did not mention anything about a credit deadline. They also took my name down when called about my order they screwed up. The service was very lackluster and felt rushed even though they did not have a wait during most of our visit. The FOH did not seem to have sections for their servers, and if they did, they need to learn how to make a more efficient floor plan. Many staff members had what the industry calls "resting bored face" despite being in view of the customers almost the entire time. The server assistants/servers roles seemed very unclear and inefficient to the flow of service. The menu is incredibly too large not to mention that they provided three different menus much of which had overlap. You can even find items listed multiple times on the same menu under different categories. The quality of food was average not special. The pink flower on many dishes is superfluous and distracting from the food. It's a shame that the interior is sleek and modern but the essentials of service don't match. Before leaving my review I wanted to see what other people were saying about this place and the responses from the restaurant to negative reviews were appalling suggesting that the reviewer may have mistakenly meant to leave the review for a different establishment and cited their overall ratings as justification as to why it most likely wasn't meant for them instead of thanking the reviewer for their feedback and apologizing for what they got wrong. Their social media could also use quite a bit of help. I was just surprised all around on my first visit here how much work it needs. I think with some consultation and direction this place could be very successful and profitable but if service were to continue the way I saw it today, I don't think this place will survive more than a couple years. read more

Went this morning with my kiddos and ball family to kill time during a delay. Service was amazing! We had Fay and she took great care of us. Probably the best server we have ever had. Let me start by saying the food was really good. We went on a busy day and our server only came to us twice; once to take our order and to deliver our food. We actually had to grab her to get our check. No water refills or asking us if we need anything or how our food was. My brothers pancakes were dry and overcooked. He wanted to ask for a replacement but never got the chance, he even asked one of the other servers to help and get our servers attention but no one came. We ordered 5 steak skillets, $20-$25 each and there was literally no steak. I took off one start for service and one for lack of steak in an expensive steak skillet. The pancake tacos are fabulous! The fruit, mascarpone, and granola work so well together! Definitely recommend. Only things we thought tasted odd were the link sausage and bacon. That's just one of the tantalizing items to choose from. Breakfast egg rolls doesn't seem like it would work, but it does. From vegetarian to meat lovers, you'll find something you like on this menu. They don't mind making adjustments to a dish. They have outdoor seating and abide by the COVID safety precautions to the letter. I have eaten here often and have NEVER seen a member of staff with a mask below their nose or worn incorrectly. I can't say that for about 80% of the businesses in this area. Honestly best breakfast food ever I got Parmesan hash browns for the first time ever and loved it. Also their iced coffee is AMAZING. I'm super picky with coffee and I was going to pick some up before going there but I'm glad I tried theirs!! Staff was so friendly and helpful! Awful service. You'd expect better for a "grand opening". Food was not impressive and took absolutely forever. Eggs were mushy, and not in a good way, kids love eggs and refused to eat them. Hash browns are very obviously frozen and taste so incredibly bland. Not one of us ate our food. Tables 3 ft from each other. The manager that helped us out was excellent and deserves a raise for trying to save our dumpster fire of an experience. If this place is gonna compete with several great breakfast restaurants in the area, they're going to have to try A LOT harder. We all agreed to never go there again. We're going to stick to our favorites. We were very appreciative of the manager's efforts to change our experience. She comped us smoothies that were definitely good.
