Order breakfast from here occasionally I find the food to be good quality good and they are consistent. One of the pluses is the blue plate special which allows you to pick from several items in different categories to make up your breakfast. It starts out with two eggs cooked your way and then you get to choose a breakfast meat or a half waffle or pancake or other items there's a small up charge if you want biscuits and gravy added, but it's nice to be able to create your own breakfast in a way my other favorite item is the turkey club. It's very generous. I usually get it and have it for lunch and dinner and it comes with fries or potato chips. read more

We arrived around closing time. We had about an half hour to eat. If they didn't want us there they shouldn't have let us in. We got there at 2:25, they close at three pm. After serving our food, which I really wasn't comfortable eating, by their demeanor. They stood there and watched us eat for about ten minutes, until I asked them were they gonna just stand staring in my face, while I eat? Then they left, but kept walking by to see how much we have eaten, trying to estimate how long it would take us. The place wasn't that clean. Food came out in stages, which was ok. Everyone seemed to be happy with their entrees and nothing was sent back. My eggs were cooked as requested but bacon was very salty. If I could give it less, I would. We frequent blueberry Hill In Homer Glen and Tinley Park quite often. Never had any issues or complaints for the most part, other than the fact that they don't have spoons now. I was eating my eggs The other day and noticedIt was crunchy, So I looked closely I noticed there were shells in with the eggs. Well I understand probably Just a mistake. I showed it to the waitress and my girlfriend brought it up to the gentleman at the register When she was paying and He gave her five dollars off the bill, which to me is kind of insulting I couldn't even finish my eggs I mean, I'm not going to eat them with the shells. So if you have a problem with the food at Tinley Park blueberry Hill I would just say buyer beware I would've thought of the very least they would take the meal and nothing else off the bill. We chose to pay the bill And not make a big deal out of it. To me It's just very bad business and I won't be returning to blueberry Hill in Tinley Park and I won't recommend it again to anyone else. This was a perfectly reasonable breakfast place real close to LaGrange and I-80. We have been here a number of times and it has always been good. On this visit we had the Blue Plate Special (4 stars nice - 4 eggs, 2 small waffles, and 2 sausage patties). Our other diner had the half order of biscuits and sausage gravy (another nice 4 star entry ... with the gravy having just a touch of peppery taste lingering on the tongue). All in all, very nice food - so why not 4 stars. It seems that this place has gone the same road as many others and adding a surcharge for using a credit card. Now it is not a lot of money but it is a cheap idea for a classy place. I always vote for the establishment to raise prices across the board to take care of any expenses of running the business - and pay your people a living wage. Don't rely on a cheap dollar here or there to make a huge difference. Once again, it is just a charge that makes the restaurant look cheap. read more

Absolutely delicious. I enjoy going to the Tinley Park location because they take pride in their food. I have not yet had a bad experience with this store. Customer service is good, employee are super friendly , food is reasonably priced, and special orders are never a problem. As always check Groupon for extra savings. Really good breakfast place! Not only was our food good, but the staff here run a really efficient operation. It was really busy when we arrived with three groups ahead of us, but we were seated in 5 minutes at a fresh, clean table. Jan was our server and she was super upbeat and a total pro, got coffee to us right away, and was quick and efficient without being brusque. Very nice restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. I ordered the veggie omelet with gluten free pancakes. The omelet was delicious, the potatoes were not very good, they clearly had no butter or salt. The pancakes were good. My kids ordered the philly skillet and strawberry crepes. I stopped by Blueberry Hill on a Saturday morning around 8:30. The restaurant wasn't especially busy and I was seated immediately. It probably took at least five minutes for the waitress to come. She was friendly, but clearly a bit anxious as she seemed extra busy. I ordered the Blue Plate special. Specifically, I wanted two eggs scrambled with onions and cheddar cheese, the ham off the bone and fruit (which I requested as all strawberries). It took my order much longer than I anticipated, which ultimately made me late for my 10:00 appointment. Anyway, the food was underwhelming at best. For some reason, the chef slapped a big slice of cheese (looked American not like cheddar to me) on top of the eggs, instead of mixing the cheese in the eggs like EVERY other restaurant knows to do; the ham was over cooked; and probably a 1/4 of the strawberries were not ripe. I tried to eat the food since I was hungry and had a long day ahead, but ultimately I didn't eat even half of it. My waitress had dropped the bill off shortly after the food and assured me that she would return to check on me, but ultimately I had to catch another waitress to request a to-go box. When the waitress returns, right after I received the box, she notices that I hadn't eaten most of the ham and asks if I didn't like it. I replied not really and she said in the future to ask them not to overcook it! So apparently she knows this happens, but didn't offer to remove it from my bill. Fine. I go to the front to pay the bill and the woman asks if I want a bag for my to-go. I decline. After passing my card, the box falls, with probably 1/4 of the leftovers falling out - so she says, "do you want a bag now?!" Pretty much with an "I told you so" tone. Not a "sorry you dropped your box, we can quickly order more eggs for you" or even just a "sorry you dropped your box" would have been sufficient. I still declined. Added the tip for the bill, signed, walked out and threw the to-go in the trash right outside the door. Realistically, I couldn't force myself to eat that food later - it was hard eating it while fresh, let alone warming it up later. I have to go with this being a one star experience in terms of service and quality of food. I won't return. read more

Talked to the manager and they explained it's not their fault, they're backed up. It is their fault. If you get backed up simply explain that. I would have understood. Don't waste my time standing here waiting for an order though. It's now taken over 2 hrs. Terrible service. At least 10 other people have come in to pick up their order since I've been here. Service was fast and the food was good. The coffee was also top-notch and they had a variety of flavored creamers available. Just stopped here to grab some lunch and ordered a Greek salad. Unfortunately it was mostly underwhelming. The menu says it has tomatoes, olives, cucumbers and greens with Greek style chicken. The chicken was cooked well and properly seasoned in my opinion but it always amazes me when restaurants say "greens" and they just give iceberg lettuce and it was mostly the clear, yellow part of the lettuce, not really any "green." How much would it cost to add some romaine or mixed greens? If it's that much then increase the price of the salad by $1! There was maybe two prices of cucumber and 3-4 pieces of tomato. For $14 it was very disappointing! I would not recommend this place if you're trying to eat healthy. read more

We were real excited to find out Blueberry Hill had a place in Tinley now. We used to go to the one in Homewood all the time and loved it. Not really sure if they have the same owner but menu is different and the prices are higher. The food is good but if going as a group take the prices into consideration.
