I had their POTATO SOUP and it made me sick. It tasted of rotten potato. They apparently don't check their potatoes (or maybe even wash them) before throwing them into the chopper. None of the 'chefs,' and I use the word loosely as this is a pretty basic restaurant, taste the food before serving it. I spoke to the manager PAM who apparently is the owner's sister, to let her know, as I believe in giving people a chance to correct before going public with a problem. Pam was not inclined to believe me but offered a refund. I never got the refund. I will not be back to that restaurant. The server was surly as well. I had the panini with prosciutto but it was not real prosciutto. They should not advertise one thing and provide another. I would not recommend this restaurant. read more

Honestly not my favorite place. Though the menu has a lot of options , not a lot of the dishes have actual names. I ordered the "prosciutto, red onion, cherry tomato, mozzarella cheese omelette" which was a mouthful to rattle back to my server. When it came out it looked to be a weird brownish grey color but the discoloration might have just been from so many items being mixed into it. Even with all that added in it was still a little bland.The strawberry orange juice was delicious so definitely order it if you come in! I also got a side of sourdough toast that came with the cutest little jar of jam! The staff seemed off like they have never served before and it took our server some time to greet us and get us drinks. He also never told us his name and did not check back to see how our food was, but they were all very nice especially the gentleman who greeted/sat us. Overall I wasn't upset with my experience here but there was also too many cons to make me a returning customer. read more

My girlfriend and i stopped in for the first time today and let me tell you, we were not too pleased. Lets start off with some positives: we were sat right away, the decor is well thought out and modern, and our server was a nice guy. Besides that, everything else hurt me. I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and the chicken was just small, dry pieces of what seemed to be chicken ankles. To go along with that, my girlfriend ordered an omelet that was a dingy grey color that had no taste despite all of the vegetables inside of it. It was just opened this fall in Market Street by the very experienced Owner/Restauranteur Peter Verros, who personally oversees his restaurants, on a daily basis. In addition to outstanding breakfasts, (which have a variety of options), they offer soups, salads and sandwiches for lunch. Best breakfast! We were staying at a nearby hotel and got tired of eating on the property. We found this by chance and were so happy we did! We had a group of 8 so we tried many items on the menu - waffles, omelets, pancakes, house made sausage, French toast, veggie dishes, etc etc. Everything we had was amazing! Even the coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice was perfect. Staff was super responsive and friendly. Enjoyed the food my first visit. I Ordered again today so we will see if it's consistent. I do know the customer service isn't consistent. I made a couple of customizations to my omelette and the person taking my order got frustrated and wouldn't allow me to tell her what type of cheese I wanted before hanging up on me. I called back to tell them what type of cheese I wanted and sounded like it could be the same person that took my original order. She said I will do the best I can to add it to your order and hung up again. The veggie omelette already comes with cheese so I'm not sure if they were going to throw any type of cheese on there or not put any at all. This location is the closest to me but I may have to try the other location. Now it's not my problem you don't enjoy changes when taking peoples orders. Perhaps they could place her in the back of the house versus the front of the house. Or find a new job altogether. I will post this once I pick up my order. read more

Terrible experience here today for our Sunday brunch. It was 10 minutes after getting seated before our server got to us, so we decided to order right away. 45 minutes later - having not seen our server since ordering, nor receiving our food, I talked to the manager. The manager disappeared into the kitchen ... then we didn't hear from her. A few minutes later we decided to leave. After talking to another server we learned that our order had just been put through and was at the top of the line. On the way out our waitress came out to tell us the food was on the table. After going back in, we saw it wasn't on the table. Straight lie. (We still hadn't heard from the manager at this point.) I talked to the same 1 communicative server on my way out and he told me the order was about ready. At this point we had decided to leave. Oh - at this moment the manager cruises by carrying a few plates for one of her tables - and gave me a drive by ("your food's almost ready). That's not good enough. We will never go here again and we'll be sure to tell anyone we can about this experience. Zero stars is the right review. read more

Probably the worst service I've had in a long time. The manager spilled water on my phone and didn't even apologize. Another girl was pouring coffee and spilled it all over. I have been to the one on shea and loved it so decided to go to the pima location. Very disappointed! We were seated immediately. Then a couple minutes later a larger group was placed next to our table of two. A few minutes after that another couple was seated. The two tables that were seated after us were given water and drink requests were taken. The waitress never came to our table and finally another busboy gave us water and took our drink order. We sat another few minutes and watched as the waitress took the other tables orders and walked by us. Finally she came and asked if we wanted to order drinks and I told her the busboy took our order for us. By the time we got the coffee it was cold. At some point she asked for our food order. We requested a starter and meals. The meals came before the starter and by the time the starter showed up there was no room on the table for two. My daughter liked the waffles, but noted the fruit was not fresh. I ordered eggs benedicts and although the sauce was good, the poached eggs were hard. The waitress wasted no time in presenting the bill (we were still eating) and I had to inform her we needed to go boxes. I was sorely disappointed with this location and will not be back. The Shea location was a complete 180 to the Pima, perhaps better management. The Shea location the staff were welcoming, whereas the Pima location no one smiled or seemed happy to be there. Not welcoming. Will not return. Gave one star just I could post. read more

The omelet was large and good quality, but my corned beef hash was pretty bad. The server asked me "How was everything?" I let her know that I didn't like that part of the meal and it was real obvious as the entire serving was still on the plate. The bill came and still had $5.95 on there for the hash. Se looked surprised when I asked if that could be taken off the bill. Nice kid, but why don't these restaurants train their staff to get a managers approval right away for these situations? I had to go get us water from the server station because we hadn't even been acknowledged. All while people were getting seated after us and were getting their food before we even got our coffee. My card was charged for my meal and for another random meal. I called yesterday to get it resolved and did not get a phone call back from the manager. I called again this morning. After waiting on hold for 10 minutes for a manager, I was told she would have a gift card for $10.75 waiting at the register. No apology, no offering to compensate my meal, nothing. So I said I would like to be reimbursed in cash since I will NEVER return. My boyfriend and I came in for brunch and sat on the patio. 3 groups came in after us, also sat on the patio, and were greeted, given water, and ordered before my boyfriend and I were even acknowledged. After 15 minutes of the waitress ignoring our table, my boyfriend had to get up and get waters himself. We then had to flag down the waitress and ask if we can order. She dismissed the fact that she hadn't acknowledged us and was rude when we finally got to order. We asked for coffees and 5 minutes later got our coffees, and never saw her again for cream or anything else we had asked for, all while she was taking care of every other table except us. We ended up getting up and leaving. I'm guessing this was mainly a management issue for the waitress clearly having way too many tables and being too busy, however it doesn't make it right how she treated us. She then began yelling at the servers when they got a drink order confused and took the wrong coffee to the wrong table. Yesterday, my husband and I tried the new Eggstasy at DC Ranch - loved it! Such an improvement over the previous breakfast restaurant that occupied this space. The remodeled dining area is bright and airy and, though we didn't sit outside, the patio area looks great. Our server, Sara, was extremely friendly and efficient. We really enjoyed talking with her and getting her perspective on this new restaurant. Her enthusiasm for Eggstacy and the food they prepare was infectious. We began with a Mimosa and a Bellini, what a great start to our morning! I ordered the plain crepes and Sara let me know that I could get 1, 2, or 3 crepes which was very helpful. I opted for 2 as 3 would have been too much food for me. One suggestion to the restaurant, I would provide butter with the crepes and perhaps sprinkle a bit of powered sugar on top. My husband ordered the Eggs and Bacon which came with Hash Browns, he substituted one crepe (at a slight up-charge) for the toast. Everything was cooked well, he's pretty particular about his bacon and had asked for it to be slightly crispy, it came out perfectly. We'll definitely be coming back to the DC Ranch Eggstasy and, as Sara suggested, we'll be a bit more adventurous with our food selections. read more
