Me and my wife stop there for some breakfast which is a normal routine we do at other places also this was the first time here we love our bacon and our hash browns crispy they were so fatty looking and greasy I have no idea how they cook the bacon almost looks like it was putting a deep fryer it was so greasy. Now when I order hash browns I asked for them crispy I should say we the shredded hash browns are totally awesome these were like Globs of potatoes that were thrown on a dirty greasy Grill. I'm sure they were close side by side with the bacon. I would never for this restaurant to anyone. We walked out of there leaving over half of our food that we couldn't even eat. And like I said I'm a breakfast lover you can't mess it up too much unless you're just bad at it. Owner offered us to replace the meal after I went up and paid and the young lady just asked me how was it and I looked at her and shook my head. So the next thing you know the manager walked up to the table and said something about I heard it wasn't that good we both said it was terrible and he offered to replace our meal and there was no way I could even try to eat after that I should say we again. If anything we should have been ordered a fracture of a discount when he seen we didn't need the food but instead he offered to replace it why would I or I should say we want to do that at that time. read more

With the pandemic happening I understand that restaurants are sometimes having a hard time keeping up with demand however this morning I called and had a woman take my order for a LG. Container of Cream of chicken soup and extra white rolls. I told her I would like to pay for it over the phone and do curbside pick up. The conversation should have taken at most 5min. Maybe..she told me to hold and put the phone down in which she proceeded to take numerous orders. I can hear her also having a conversation about her hair and how she was going to go to the bathroom and do her hair laughing and joking. Not once did she even bother to hand the phone to someone else to take my payment. I waited on hold for over 10min. Until I just gave up and hung up. This is unacceptable I will no longer be placing an order for curbside pick up or pick up in general. Tear Drop I will see you when I feel safe enough to enjoy your food in person. read more

Outrageous prices for subpar food and terrible service. My and my best friend decided to check this place out this morning and could not have had a more awful experience. Upon walking in, we were ignored as the wait staff took orders UP FRONT, wrote them down, and ran them back to the kitchen. We were asked 3 times by 3 different people how many were in our party and had to remind them we were waiting to be seated (as there was only standing room and no wait area). We were given menus and left alone, with nobody asking for our drink orders or introducing us to our waitress. After several minutes of sitting there, we finally had to get the attention of a woman there to let them know we were ready to order. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger for $9.25. It came with seasoned fries and soup "option," although there was only one soup offered. And it came with all the fixings (except onion, you will have to explicitly ask for that), so I made it very clear that I can't have tomatoes (in fact, I restated it 3 separate times because when she read the order back, she mentioned the tomatoes!) When the waitress asked how I wanted the meat cooked, I told her "medium," and I was actually impressed that she had asked. It meant to me that perhaps I would be getting something decent for the price! What arrived was a well-done slab of meat sandwiched in a small bun; the whole sandwich was no bigger than a Big Mac. Not one shade of pink whatsoever in the whole patty. In addition to that, she forgot the requested onions and included tomatoes. I tried to eat the burger, but I couldn't finish and I politely pushed the plate away. The waitress we had was very kind and asked asked if there was anything wrong. I mentioned that I had ordered it cooked medium and it came well-done. She offered to replace the meal "to-go," which I thought was very kind, so I accepted. The best part? I was still a bit hungry from not being able to eat the hockey puck on bread that was served to me earlier, and I was very excited to try the corrected burger they had sent me home with. THE SECOND BURGER WAS COOKED WELL-DONE. No pink at all. Pros: the ONE kind waitress. Cons: Prices are high for such subpar food and portions. They are stingy on condiments and you have to ask multiple times for things like ranch or onions. read more

We moved to Minooka a year ago and really missed our old breakfast place! There are not many restaurants in Minooka but We decided to try TearDrop and are SO happy we did! Thankfully we found our new breakfast restaurant. The servers are very friendly and quick. Everything we have tried so far has been delicious! No complaints here! Linda was a great waitress but unfortunately their kitchen and management are less than desirable. All the hot food was cold and when both myself and Linda told management they did nothing to rectify the situation. I wish I liked this place! I really do as it seems to be very popular in town but I just can't bring myself to love it no matter how many times I try. The owners seem to be very nice people, however the food and wait staff aren't as great. On my most recent visit for breakfast with my family, our waitress (she did not introduce herself so I unfortunately don't know her name) appeared to be in a bad mood and aside from taking our order in the beginning, we never saw her until she brought the check. But this isn't what did it in for me: it was the food. My eggs tasted funny, almost fishy and my turkey sausage patties were poor little inedible hockey pucks. Unfortunately I don't think I'll ever be returning, but I wish the owners the best of luck! read more

This place was very good. Only recommendation would be to cook the food a little longer rather than hurry it out of the kitchen. Omelet could have been done more and so could have the country fried steak so the coating was crisp. The over medium eggs were could have also been left on a bit longer. Horrible horrible customer service The lady owner is not a nice person!!! We will NEVER eat there again. My omelet was cooked all wrong And didn't even have any of the cheese melted when asked for to be fixed And all they did was Microwave it!!!! Ruining the eggs and hash browns all mushy then. My husband went to just grab his takeout he set down she ripped it out of hIs hands!!!! Screaming for us to get out! We can't have any of her food OH AND you ask what was the discount? Good food clean place service was okay too however when paying the bill they charged extra for using a credit/debit card. I know they get charged a fee but I feel that should be the owners responsibility but not the customers! Im not sure id be back due to that aspect or Id pay cash only! Second best [1st one in the American Legion Post 57, circa 2002] skirt steak I had in Illinois in 24 years. The steak was so juice and fresh that for an instant I though I was eating steak at Forth Worth Texas. It was that amazing. I usually don't order steak due to numerous disappointments. Coming from Texas I can say I have some valid degree of judgment when it comes to meat, and Teardrop made me day. The service was cordial and discrete. I don't appreciate when the serves try to become the main character in my eating experience. Although the steak's display brought my immediate attention, I wouldn't say much of the sides. Don't take me wrong the smashed potatoes and the corn were delicious but I would recommend a bit of more décor. The place is immaculate clean and very convenient. Just off route 80 East, exit Minooka IL, quarter mile south. I dare people from as far as Indiana, Southern, Central or Northern Illinois to come and give a shot.
