Just had more great service from EHC. Yesterday our air conditioner just stopped working, the fuse box was corroded. I contacted them Saturday night and they were at our house Sunday at 9am. Called EHC when my ac unit stopped working during one of the hottest days in May. We set up a time for them to come out and asses the problem. They showed up within the window that was set. Upon arrival they immediatly diagnosed the problem offered the replacement part and cost which I thought was very fair. Even showed me the diffrence between the old and new part and how to tell it was busted based on appearance and current running through it. At no time did they try to sell me anything other then what was broken I opted to top off the freon since they were here and they said it helps keep the ac running better but I was at an ok level. I decided to add a little extra. They checked the temperature coming from my vents before and after adding the freon to show me the diffrence. We suffered miserable last year when we were hit with some hot AF temps and our AC stopped cooling. WTF?!!! I know right? We seriously suffered with temps reaching 90 inside! Anywho, fast forward to 2021 with unpredictable temps. When it started getting warm here and there in the winter prior to Spring I said we need this issue fixed ASAP because we aren't suffering anymore! We did have someone come out last year but basically they said they could replace the Freon and hope it fixes the problem or replace the entire AC unit which is costly. A couple years ago my main condenser unit died in the middle of a heat wave. It was a very old unit that was installed when the house was built about 30 years ago. I got estimates from a number of HVAC contractors, some of which got ridiculous by trying to add in tons of unnecessary duct replacements. Eros gave me a quote that was very reasonably above and beyond the price of the equipment. Most importantly, he completed the work within a couple of days from our first appointment. Since then, our new next door neighbor needed to replace their AC unit as well since it's the same vintage. I referred EHC and they also had their unit replaced within a couple of days at a very reasonable cost. A couple weeks ago the fan coil in our system died (it had nothing to do with the condenser they installed before). Eros had a serviceman out at my house within 2 HOURS of my original call late on a Friday afternoon. They tried to repair the part on Friday night (around 8pm) to reinstall it that night. In the end we decided the best course of action was to replace the part completely. Due to the rarity of the part, they had to drive a great distance to pick up an OEM replacement. The fan coil was replaced by Monday afternoon. Rarely do you deal with contractors that go so far above and beyond. If you need HVAC service I wouldn't hesitate to recommend EHC and Eros. read more
