My issue is I want to see what is going on with my rat problem; when the inspector comes out to refill the traps. My problem with Orkin is they never answer emails. Which I believe is to alleviate any evidence of contact. I don't think that an email response is too much to ask for, for what I'm paying $160.00 first visit, then $90.00/month. I'm sorry I didn't go with a different company. I never know when, or if an inspector is going to show up. As per my phone conversation with the 540 Branch I was supposed to be notified by an email the day before the inspector was scheduled and a phone call within hours of the inspection neither has occurred.

She has a slant to every question asked- "Where is the issue Sir".. ummm- Karen(fitting name for her)- you know I am a woman.. wtf is wrong with you? Then You proceed to course correct and ask again what the issue is.. I tell you and you tell me you have to check with the manager because we only DO where the area that appears to be the issue. I relent because "Karen" is low key biased- my contract is for bee and wasp issue - I have lots of trees and shrubs - anyway, she ask me if orkin is coming for my rat problem- "KAREN", no where in my file does it say Rat issue.. because "KAREN" is biased. I will NOT be using this office again- They have been ok for the most part BUT KAREN" is the issue. She is biased and I know what I hear when speaking to a biased individual. Condescending Karen! FOH!

Information was misrepresented, promises were made and not honored, and when questioned, the story changed. That alone is enough reason to look elsewhere. The exterminators were just as problematic. They were pushy, intrusive, and did not respect boundaries once on the property. Their approach felt aggressive rather than professional, and I was made uncomfortable by how forceful they were about access and services. This company does not respect customers, does not communicate honestly, and creates more frustration than solutions. There are far better pest control options in Carroll County that operate with integrity and basic respect.

    Great services until they get paid. We called them to discuss sounds we heard in the wall. They…read morepromptly came out and suggested we redo the insulation in our attic. They informed us that their insulation had boric acid in it to prevent bugs from coming into the house. We signed the contract, and we were told someone would call us the day before to let us know what time someone would come the next day. We were never called. Instead, a team showed up and had no idea that we purchased additional items besides the insulation. Due to a language barrier, it was hard to communicate with the workers. I had to hunt down the gentleman we signed the contract with, who in turn had to hunt down the manager. After all that was sorted out, the manager never came on site as we were told to inspect the work. Since that day, we have reached out several times to get someone from the team to come out and inspect the work no one has reponseded, including the manager Gavin. I still see stink bugs coming in from the attic along with lady bugs. It does not seem the boric acid is doing anything. This was a horrible experience. Customer service is awful after they get your money

    I have been receiving quarterly services from Am Pest for many years. They were adequate, although…read moreincreasingly more expensive for filling bait boxes periodically. Recently, I noticed a major rat infestation (in central DC) and called for an emergency appointment to put poison in the fivw new burrows in my garden. The events that happened afterwards persuade me that this company is highly disorganized and in need of systems repair to assist a customer seeking specific help. First: although I asked for poison "dusting," Am Pest sent me a technician who was blissfully unaware of my request and, he told me, not certified to use "dust." He called his manager, who is qualified to do "dusting." But the manager chose not to come because it may rain later today. They did not set up a new appointment, and the report from the technician said that there are no further issues at this residence. I don't blame the technician, who seemed to be new, for all these problems. BUT the major rat infestation in my garden remains untreated! I had also requested extra bait boxes for a neighbor--also an Am Pest client--who shares the major infestation. The technician never received that request, even though the person who made the appointment said she wrote it down and I could accept the boxes for my neighbor. Notably, the technician's manager said that HE lacks authorization to approve extra bait boxes for their client--my neighbor. (The technician actually had extra bait boxes with him. He just never got approval to leave them.) The manager purportedly sent a request to approve the new bait boxes to someone else. We do not have the new bait boxes. Finally, when I went to the company website looking for how to write senior management, I discovered no named organization leaders. they are well organized for sales. Less so for emergency service. That is why I am writing on Yelp. (The relevant dates are July 6 and 7, if anyone from Am Pest actually wants to apologize for this mess of non-communication about why exactly I had called for emergency service in the first place.) Meanwhile, I am beginning the search for a different pest service.
