Eightfold as I've been told has coffee that's delicious and bold. If it wasn't it would be the barista I would scold for the standards they need to uphold. After my first sip the story starts to unfold about the positive outcome that were told. I hit up their Orange Espresso tonic and after I was done I felt so bionic or maybe Supersonic, LoL. So on with this story to tell. So my second drink was the specialty Strawberry Kiss and if you love strawberries then this is not to be missed and especially if it has strawberry bits along with chocolate and espresso. While we were waiting for our drinks I also tried their Cortado and it was pretty good. Limited seating inside but they do have a spacious outdoor area and if you're like me then alfresco is where you want to be. Service was decent and they have a parking garage down the street if you can't find any parking. And that's my take on it, Peace out...

Such a cute little place with a great iced latte and free street parking! Go here instead of dealing with Urth Cafe's crowd and wait. Nice place to work - inside or out.

Stopped here on the way to lunch. This place has an industrial kind of vibe with the concrete floors and white walls. We ordered an iced hazelnut latte, half sweet with whole milk and a hojicha latte, hot. Took about 15 minutes for our drinks. My latte was pretty bland, did not have a super hazelnutty flavor, probably since it was half sweet. The coffee flavor was not super strong either. The hojicha latte had the opposite problem where it was a little too sweet (also maybe our bad for not asking for less sugar). Service was average, not bad but not overly friendly. Overall very average coffee shop.

This is such a cute coffee spot within the Arts District! I appreciated how many matcha options this place had (albeit the price jump scared me a bit). I walked in and was immediately greeted by the barista, with a few people working on their laptops. My drink, the matcha sweetie, was made pretty fast and I got to drink a bit indoors. It hit hard and I would definitely come back to try their other matcha options!

Tonic with blood orange simple syrup, was given a simply orange juice tonic lol. Fraud

Was really looking forward to trying this coffee shop as I saw they served a blood orange tonic so I decided to slide by before work . When I arrived I ordered the tonic with blood orange simple syrup and was given a tonic with simply orange juice lol when I asked them about the blood orange they proceeded to say they never make it that way and that it's made with simply oj.

the drinks were good, a nice area! i think from all three the vanilla matcha was my favorite! the service was super nice and received the drinks so fast!

What a great coffee shop in the Arts District. It's a great place to get some laptops up time whilst sipping on a coffee. I ordered the OJ creamsicle which was delicious. It was a perfect way to give me a mid-day pick me up. I would definitely come back here for some coworking time with a colleague or if I'm looking to get away from my home office for a few hours.

    Avocado toast with Golden Milk

There's a lot of coffee shops in the Arts District but if you're ever in this area I would definitely recommend this spot. I was told recently that they stopped serving the avocado toast (the one in the pic) and I was actually heartbroken because this is the ONLYYYY place I ever got avocado toast from because it was THAT good :( i was also told that they have it at there other location but it is so sad because this place is closer to me. Anyway, I used to always love getting their hot matcha with no sweetener but unfortunately my heart can't handle the caffeine anymore but the matcha lattes here are really good!! Perfect balance of matcha to milk ratio. Now I go for their Golden Milk which is delicious!! Inside is always kept clean, baristas are always nice, and they have music playing but at the perfect volume as well. Overall a great coffee shop!

Cute little spot in Arts District. Very bare bones warehouse feel, but still welcoming enough to stay for a bit. They have room inside to seat about 10 people. It's quiet and even with the "no animals except service animals" sign, appeared to be dog-friendly, with a cute pup playing with my kid while we waited for our order. There are also some tables outside in the courtyard area by the entrance. It's not somewhere I'd recommend if you're in a hurry - nobody there is in a rush (but kind of in a refreshing way) - but if you have a few minutes to spare, it's worth the wait for decent quality espresso. The menu is small but sufficient, and I quite like the simplicity if it. My takeaway is that they don't do too much, but what they do (drink-wise), they aim to do well. I got an iced americano and a cinnamon roll and found the espresso to be better than average. The pastry was just OK. Parking is tough - street parking only - as is expected, but not impossible. Staff was very friendly and it seemed like everyone got on, contributing to the intimate vibe. All in all, I'd say I'd stop in again if I happened to be in the area, but wouldn't seek this place out if it weren't just the most geographically convenient option.

Wow, the flavors are so good! I had a hojucha latte and it took me back to Japan. It was so we'll balanced. I also tried it with chocolate and that was mind-blowingly amazing. Overall delicious drinks that are made to order. Very sweet, polite, and fast service. The seating was very nice with the big giant windows and tall ceilings. We stayed for a few hours because it was so comfortable there.

    Spanish latte
    Jonathan D.

Really cool spot. Baristas are nice and super quick. I ordered the Spanish latte because I've heard great things about it and it didn't disappoint. It's made with espresso, your choice of milk and a few ounces or condensed milk -- I was worried it was going to be too sweet but it was perfect as-is. Location was also quite nice and there's a bunch of free parking on the side streets. Definitely recommend checking it out!

Seating is limited, though they do offer a few outdoor tables and a bench inside while you wait for your drinks. The service was great. The employees were friendly, welcoming, and the overall atmosphere was relaxed and enjoyable. As for the coffee, it unfortunately wasn't my favorite. I tried the Cloud Latte and found it a bit too thick, lacking the smoothness and flavor I was hoping for. I also tried the Cinnamon Cloud, which was smoother but still tasted fairly bitter to me. Coffee preferences are subjective, of course, but the flavor profile just didn't quite hit the mark for me. That said, I enjoyed everything else about the experience and would be willing to come back and try a few different drinks from the menu. The service and ambiance were definitely highlights of the visit.

I wouldn't necessarily say it's super strong, but it's definitely not weak either. It doesn't have as much of that bitter/earthy matcha taste. The drinks do lean on the sweeter side, which is kind of a dilemma for me because the cream is SO good, but it also takes away from the matcha a little. I love the cream and wouldn't want less of it, but I do wish the matcha came through a bit more. Additionally, the cup is pretty small And getting matcha here is honestly a whole DEDICATED JOURNEY. The staff were very kind and patient and swiftly prepared the Vienna Latte and Hojicha Latte we ordered. The Vienna Latte is so visually stunning, the layers of white milk, brown espresso, thick white cream, brown cocoa powder and Biscoff layered on top of each other against the dark green logo was so aesthetic. Having a sip before mixing the Vienna latter was incredible, the sweet cream followed with the nutty strong espresso flavour then getting a refreshing splash of milk made a great combo with the Biscoff. I actually liked the drink less after its all mixed because it was too creamy for my taste. (I normally like my coffee black) My hojicha latte was great, but it was also too milky for me. I ordered an espresso shot and instead of charging me full price, they only charged me the add on espresso shot for the drink! ($1.50 instead of $4) It was very kind of them since it was absolutely my mistake for not ordering the right drink in the first place. I ordered the Orange Mint Latte, Matcha Sparkling Lemonade, Einspanner White, Hibiscus Mint Sparkling Lemonade, and of course, a cortado. I also tried their Wagyu Sliders. Every drink was fantastic. What I really enjoyed was how different each one was from the next. It didn't feel like I was ordering variations of the same drink -- each had its own flavor profile, presentation, and unique touch. The Orange Mint Latte was especially interesting, and both sparkling lemonades were refreshing and completely different from what I would normally order. The Einspanner White was another standout. Overall, it was a really fun variety to try at once. The cortado was also very good. It had a nice flavor, smooth texture, and was easy to drink. Their approach is a little different from a traditional cortado presentation because the espresso and milk are fully integrated together rather than finished with latte art. I actually appreciate that style when it's executed well because the focus is more on getting the espresso and milk completely incorporated into one cohesive drink. The presentation across the entire order was also really well done. You can tell there's thought behind how everything is served and put together, which adds to the overall experience. The Wagyu Sliders were great as well. I think the food side of Archives of Us deserves more attention because they have some genuinely good food options to go along with the drinks rather than the food feeling like an afterthought. The space itself is beautifully designed with plenty of seating inside as well as an outdoor seating area. I love the overall atmosphere and aesthetic -- there are certain details about the design, presentation, and experience that remind me of coffee shops I've visited in Japan. The staff made the experience even better. Everyone was extremely friendly, kind, and welcoming. Overall, Archives of Us has a lot going for it. A beautiful space, great service, thoughtful presentation, a strong variety of drinks, solid coffee, and food worth trying as well. It's especially nice to find a coffee shop where I actually want to explore the menu beyond my usual cortado. Definitely the type of place I could see myself coming back to once a week.

The outdoor seating area was spacious and parking was easy. It was a good place to hang out with a friend. They also have bakery items. It's a nice place if you're looking for coffee and something to eat.

[Parking]: The coffee shop has a free designated parking lot which I actually appreciate since parking is not easy to come by in this part of the neighborhood. [Amenities & atmosphere]: The restroom is located just outside the entrance and no code is needed. The cafe has a modern and sleek interior which makes this spot an ideal 1st date spot. There is a section where the cafe has various albums hanging on the wall. [Menu]: Some of the highlighted items to order here are Mason Latte, Hojicha Latte, and Brisket Burrito. Kitchen items are served from 8:30 AM to 4 PM. *** Steak Breakfast Burrito (24-hour marinated steak, crispy tots, cheddar, pico de gallo, scrambled eggs, avocado, homemade aioli, served with housemade green aji or red salsa - $21.00): I was given a buzzer only to realize it was for the food order and not the drink. The green sauce was very vinegary with a slightly spicy kick. The burrito itself was not bad as it had all the right ingredients. It took about 10 minutes for the kitchen to prepare this order. Mason Latte (Double shot Espresso, whole milk, homemade brown butter caramel, sea salt - iced $7.75): This drink had to be mixed and shaken first. A solid latte and not too sweet. The flavor was a tad light, but not bad. *** While no food or drink in particular made this place stand out among all other amazing coffee shops in Los Angeles, this is still a solid all-around coffee shop in my book. A big thumbs up on good interior vibe and easy parking.
