Went out with some friends and really enjoyed our dinner. Make sure to make reservations not a free table in the place. We were seated quickly and we tried the old fashions. We asked for light on the simple syrup so not too sweet. We order beet salads and the gnocchi starters. The salad just regular beet and lettuce nothing to write home about. But the Ricotta Gnocchi is dangerously delicious. Also heads up it is very rich. Dinner consisted of the Shrimp Risotto not really a table favorite. The mussels and pasta got very positive mmmms. But the Bolognese again was delicious and rich. Dessert was a yummy tiramisu and crème brûle (wish it was bigger) both were scrumptious. The restaurant is a surprisingly well decorated inside and very comfortable and even when fully packed we were able to have a conversation without talking over the noise. Definitely worth trying out in Plum.

The food was absolutely delicious, the service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere outside was warm and welcoming. Everything was fresh and prepared perfectly. You can tell they truly care about their customers. My daughter and I had a wonderful dining experience and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend!

Tonight while I'm in town visiting my in laws I got to enjoy a dinner here! Our server Liz was amazing! She knew the specials and was very attentive to us! I had the burger and of course I didn't take a photo but my sister in law had the chicken entree with mash potatoes and veggies! I also tried her dish and it was sooo good! The mussels are amazing also!! It was my first time here having dinner since I'm visiting but this is their regular dinner spot! Definitely will come back every time I visit town!

Eighty acres has amazing cocktails. I also had an espresso martini I forgot to take a picture of and it was delicious! The only thing I didn't care for was the sauce with the sweet potato fries. It wasn't really needed as they are amazing in their own. They were busy but our food came out hot and fast. Our server John was so kind and attentive. He was able to answer all of our questions and made great suggestions. The place is classy and beautiful!

My husband and I came here a few weeks ago and we had a phenomenal dinner here. My husband had their steak gyro and I had a scallop special that they were featuring. The place is so cozy and the staff were great. I really love that they support local farms. I am obsessed with that, and I recognized some of the featured farms from a farmers market I visit often. The food was delicious, we loved it and were really impressed. I would love to come back soon!

Love the atmosphere, the vibe and best of all the food and service! Excellent old fashioned and wine and followed by delish scallops was the special of the night! One of us had a penne pasta dish that looked mouth watering. Gathering board to start was excellent! Desserts were shared and yummy. Missy is number one in bartending and our dinner service and helpfulness to all our questions and yes the pics too! Free parking Indoor and outdoor covered seating. Going back Saturday for date night food and drink!

Came here with my boyfriend after visiting my cousin at UPMC East. We both ordered the Logan Family Farm steak burger-his with regular fries and mine with the sweet potato fries. I liked the sweet potato fries better. The burger was quite delicious. My boyfriend's burger was a little charred but our server unbeknownst to us took it off our bill which was super sweet and amazing service. She was very attentive. I had one of their whiskey cocktails and it was great. I can't wait to come back here and try more things. The restaurant and bar area is lovely and it looks like there is a nice outdoor area for the summer time.

This place rocks. Unique food, good service, stacked bar, and no complaints. consider reservations and check hours/days open online prior.

    Scallops and lobster risotto
    Rod M.

Mid-afternoon New Year's Eve dinner started with small, tasty oysters (better with shallots and vinegar- Mignonette Sauce, than with cocktail sauce), followed by mushroom soup and house salad. Entrees delighted guests with delicious lobster risotto and scallops; and surf and turf ribs, shrimp, carrots and potatoes - the sauce was perfect. Casey's service went above and beyond providing details on sources of libations. The room was decorated for the occasion with a small Christmas tree with white lights and "Happy New Year 2025" handwritten on a black chalkboard, creating a festive ambiance.

Had a steak here. Mediocre at best. It's a nice little restaurant inside however, lacks that wow factor with the food.

    What is the attire like?

It was mostly an older crowd wearing slacks and sweaters. A few people were wearing jeans and Steelers jackets. One family was wearing suits. They don't seem to have a dress code, but I felt underdressed in jeans and a hoodie.

It tasted like they used cheap canned sauce; it reminded me of the canned spaghetti we had sometimes as kids. I also had the applesauce which was ok, but I wish it had been unsweetened. The stuffed cabbage was ok; certainly not as good as my great aunt used to make, but not bad. Although, it was a bit spicy for me. I don't remember what my sister had, but I do remember that she wasn't very impressed with it. Service was a little slow, and we got occasional unpleasant whiffs of cigarette smoke from the attached bar.

Ok history lesson! the building used to be McDades Restaurant a German/Irish establishment that…read moreused have a small but nice selection of usual German fare that I loved dining there. and Golden Goblet was further down the road on Golden Mile Hwy. Fast forward the Mcdade family retired a while ago and The GG took over this location under their own name. The decor was dark and rather dated with something of a nautical theme (I'm guessing because of the "famous" fish sandwich they offer) The dining room has an adjoining party/function room and the bar and kitchen occupying the other side. Over 10 years ago, I went there once during lent, for their so called "Famous Fish Sandwich" well to me, a self declared "Afish'n'ado" being British from the land of Fish'n'chips, it wasn't that "famous" imho. I think it must be a self declared title, just like the Dallas Cowboys are referred to as "America's Team" Anyhoo 10+ years on, I didn't go this time for another try at a fish sandwich, no ...I went there because I found out that they we're continuing offering the alternative German menu inherited from McDades, as a separate Oktoberfest menu. Don't know if it has been offered in prior years or not. Tried the "German Sampler" which used be my favourite from the McDades era, when it was called the "Heidelberg Platter". This new iteration is similar from what I remembered... an oval plate filled with a variety of Knockwurst and Bratwurst, Sauerbraten, Pork roast, with four wonderful sides of Potato pancake, German potato salad, good portions of Sauerkraut and also red cabbage. Whilst not wow, it was flavorful and still very good and quite authentic and reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. Our server was by herself the whole night and a little harrowed understandably, by having to serve around 10 covers at the same time, but whilst a little discombobulated at times, she still managed very well and was courteous throughout. I think she was quite new to the Oktoberfest menu as despite what the printed German menu said, she interpreted the German sampler as an "either or" on the sides it came with, which is not the case, you "get it all" on the same plate and the kitchen thankfully knew that). My wife had a full Sauerbraten entree which she liked and I had her leftovers the next day. Gravy was nice combo of sweet and sour and peppery with cinnamon or cloves We also had an order of fried zucchini which was quite good for the amount you get and the thick marinara it came with, though was a little on the greasy side. (We shouldn't have ordered it, purely down to our normal greed and craving zucchini and forgetting how much food you get for the main meal but at least there were leftovers to enjoy!) Had a pint of Oktoberfest beer which sadly was flat. Summing up I want to go back before Oktoberfest ends to try their selection of veal entrees, or just get the sampler again. Also as a footnote, while I was there, a neighboring table got a fried fish dinner and from the look, the fish was thin and the breading quite dark indicating that it was either overdone, or they haven't changed the oil in the fryer in quite a while, so based on my observation, will continue to hold off ordering a 'so so' fish sandwich after all these years. History lesson over... class dismissed!

The ribs have always been excellent. My son and I went into the uncrowded restaurant, sat at the bar, ordered two beers and told the bartender we wanted a takeout order. We watched her take care of several other customers. I told her I would be OK with going into the restaurant to place my order, but she said no she would be right back. meanwhile, the bartender was new, and there was a female manager behind the bar, with her. A little while later, the manager came over to us, and asked how could she help us? I ordered the food , and while finishing my beer, a bleach, blonde waitress from the restaurant side came in with a order of pizza. Bartender instructed her that it was for the restaurant customers. The waitress looked at the bartender and said for her to deliver it to the customers, because they were unhappy. During this time, the bartender also had to leave the bar to attend to drinks in the restaurant. I finally got my takeout order, I was walking out of the restaurant, and there were multiple waitresses and waiter in the restaurant area standing around and looking like they were doing nothing. The bartender was left to care for everything by herself. As I had said previously, I've always loved DeeJays ribs, from Wexford. When I finally arrived home, the ribs were quite dry, with hardly any barbecue sauce. I was very disappointed. Someone needs to needs to go to Bridgeville and Wexford to observe how the restaurant is generally run perfectly. I will not recommend this new location.
