My go to bakery in the Buffalo area since I was a kid. They have so many amazing treats and can also make wonderful custom creations. The bakery itself is easy to get to and has parking right in front of it. They have cookies, pastries, cakes, donuts, breads, rolls, pies, cheesecakes and more. It smells amazing when you walk in and between the great smell and the fabulous looking pastries, your mouth will water! If you know there is something specific you want (even if it isn't something custom like a cake) you can pre order to ensure it will be there for you when you visit. Because they do sell out of some of their most popular items. The staff is incredible. Extremely knowledgeable, patient and friendly. And amazing at what they do! I've been going to Eileen's for my whole life, at one point I even lived across the street! It's a great bakery with yummy treats. I love the donuts, and the cookies are a great treat (the Smily Face is my favorite). Super busy at times, but are great at making sure everyone gets their turn in order. It's been a while (almost two years!?) since I stopped into Eileen's Centerview Bakery to pick up some weekend treats and I'm happy to see, and taste, it's stayed the same great experience all-round! I stopped in on a Saturday morning around 11am to a packed parking lot but had no problems getting a parking spot still. Inside the bakery was bustling! People were taking numbers by the door and waiting to be called on by the staff behind the counter. I get into a decision paralysis whenever I'm here with the variety of treats I see and want to try. I was there for probably 20 minutes walking back and forth trying to figure out what I wanted! haha The staff here are always so kind and understanding though, they never make me feel bad or rushed as I figure out what I want. This time I walked out with four treats: an Almond Filled Sweet Roll square, a Mini Pastry Heart, an Almond Horn, and a Buffalo Bills cutout cookie. If you couldn't tell, I love almond so I indulged a bit. The almond filled sweet roll was fluffy and sweet with plenty of almond paste inside, very much what I want from a sweet roll. The almond horn was excellent! This pastry was akin to a danish and filled with plenty of almond paste. The Buffalo Bills cutout was cute with a softness and not dry. The mini pastry heart was delicious, as usual from Eileen's. In addition to my treats, the price was a(nother) treat as well, INCREDIBLY affordable! This visit to Eileen's Centerview Bakery was a great reminder for how awesome this bakery is. From customer service, quality, portions, pricing, all of it is excellent. I wanted some Anise Christmas cookies so I googled it, and up pops Eileen's so I went there and I was waited on by a nice woman with great customer service. I bought my cookies along with some other goodies, I ended up getting some Mexican wedding cakes, and a long Danish pastry with pineapple and cheese, it's a very nice place pretty quiet for the amount of customers. I asked for a very simple piñata color border around my cake with nothing else, the kids wanted to decorate the top. They sent me a picture of what they thought I wanted and it was exactly that. The cake was don't perfectly. For a pastry rec, get the cheese delight!! A short dough pastry filled with a fresh cream cheese filling, topped with streusel and dusted with powdered sugar. The almond ring is awesome, the anise cookies (only during the holidays) are what I remember as a kid, the palmers are flaky and sweet, the ladies behind the counter are helpful. Everything is wonderful tasting here. I usually get the almond ring, cut out cookies and cherry glazed fry cake. The last couple times I got my favorite: powdered sugar white cream donut. So disappointed. Both times the cake part if the doughnut was dry. And the filling was reduced. I've been purchasing this doughnut for over 40 years, so I know it's changed. Let me start off by stating that I have lived a very sheltered life when it came to sweet goods and baked goods. It just wasn't a thing in my household. My SO is a local to the area and picked up something called an "Almond Ring" from this bakery which she is familiar with. Bought a a chocolate peanut butter cup cake for my sister in law's birthday and it was fabulous! Chocolate cake is usually very dry but this was so moist and delicious! This place is the best bakery and you all should go here. I grew up going here and loved the random trips to stop by and get a few donuts. They have many kinds of baked goods here, donuts, cookies, cakes, breads, cupcakes, cannolis, etc. My favorite items are their mini pastry hearts, their peanut butter chocolate chip cookies, their mini danishes, their peanut stick donuts, and their faschnauts, which they only have during Lent. Their faschnauts are so awesome. They are the size of a sheet of 8.5X11 paper. They are thin in the middle and fluffy around the sides. They have three varieties, cinnamon, granulated sugar, and powdered sugar. The cinnamon is my favorite. They have a large parking lot. (They share it with Omega Deli, which is next door.) You need to take a number, when you come in, which is next to the door. I've never waited long though. The staff is great here. They're quick, efficient, and have great customer service skills. I had a really nice experience today at Eileen's! This little bakery has so many good looking baked goods to try it was tough only buying what I came in for. They've got tons of different cookies, cakes, cheesecakes, and other pastries to try and they all looked great! I got two pounds of assorted cookies for only about 14 dollars each and they had a wide assortment of different cookie flavors all in Christmas themes. Eileen's is the best bakery around & has been for many years. They have a wide variety of donuts, pastries, bread, cookies, and cakes (& more, lol) I could go on and on if I listed everything they made. I always pick up a bag of their breadcrumbs, which I keep in the freezer, anytime I'm there. Their almond rings, bear claws and turnovers are a favorite around here so we have to get there early if that's what we want. They do take orders for cakes, but I've also seen flyers for call ahead Easter orders, or plates of cookies for mailing. Best Smiley Face sugar cookies around that my grandma would surprise me with as a child and I continued the tradition with my own kids. They even have a frown face or two in with the rest but I've always passed on those as I don't want to take the chance on some unhappy karma You can buy the sugar cookie dough for cutouts and We bought the anise flavored sugar cookie dough every Christmas for cutouts growing up and it is delicious with some homemade icing. Preorder your dough in December for an easier baking day. Unfortunately you can only get the anise dough during Xmas season except for when they do a Christmas in July week where I was able to get my anise fix and bought a dozen cutout cookies and froze them for future eating. I did not have time to bake an apple crumb pie, so I ordered one here. Biggest mistake ever! I spent nearly 20.00 on a pie that had about 3/4 inches of apple filling, and about an inch of dry "crumb" topping, obviously no butter or brown sugar in sight, pretty sure it was just boxed cake mix on top. This little bakery seems to have a wide variety of sweets, breads, and other goodies. We've only tried a few doughnut-like creations: The maple glazed cinnamon roll is amazing, the apple filled cinnamon sugar doughnut is likewise amazing. The sticky buns were great as well and generously glazed. They are made of a cinnamon roll dough that is heavier than the doughnut dough used for the maple glazed cinnamon 'rolls' (both are very tasty) Danish were also super yummy. Most of their breads are white or rye. Was hoping for baguettes but they do not do these. They also have a rack of discount breads and confections to check out. Some of the staff were quite nice but the lady who waited on us looked pained as if the two of us not being 100% confident in how many pastries we wanted and which ones was a major trial in her day. There was not a queue and we took literally a few minutes, I had my picks and my boyfriend had his, we're not mind readers... I found her just a little rude. Other than that the baked goods were very tasty and we'll be back to try some more. read more
