I explained to her that I should receive free coffee using 50 points but she insisted that it was only for mobile orders. I explained to her that every location gives me free coffee based on promo perk or points and she said everybody was doing it wrong. I was really excited to go here as it's reminiscent of my time at college where I could use my meal plan for bagels. When I arrived I was greeted but need a minute to look at the menu. Another women came to the register so I thought to take my order but didn't even look at me or say anything then just walked away. I ended up ordering a lox bagel which was good. The bagel could have been better/fresher and I wish I had asked for it toasted. I did get a good about of lox and thought for $10 that was a really good value. I have always enjoyed Einstein Bros Bagels and this location is no exception. They always greet you when you enter and are consistent in ensuring that everyone's order is correct and enjoyable. This is and was the WORSE !! Einstein Bagel I have ever been to. The young girl in the back made my sandwich so fast she didn't warm it up she didn't even warm anything up as a matter of fact. She put so much sauce on the bagel I had to wipe my sandwich off with a napkin. I got a medium coffee went to the canister poured coffee in the cup that was suppose to be hot it was COLD ! They were in the back laughing and talking and the floor was filthy where they make the food was disgusting. I just came in from the airport and purposely didn't buy anything at the airport because I wanted to save my appetite for here and it was the worst experience ever. I would have driven 32 more miles if I had any idea this place was going to be like this. The manager was walking back and forth and out of the 6 people behind the counter everyone just walked over all the food, napkins and garbage all over the floor back there and didn't even try to clean up. Never will I ever return back to this one on Howell Mill Rd. NW until they get a whole new staff but all of them need to be fired ! It's 9:33 on Friday May 9th. At approximately 8:30 I got in the drive thru line. There were several cars in front of me and it took over 20 minutes. I'm not bothered by that. I understand places get busy. I ordered a country bagel and gravy breakfast sandwich. My total came to just over $9. I left a $2 tip despite the wait. The girl at the window was friendly. Upon getting my order I drove 15 minutes back to my work site before eating. When I took the first bite, I realized that instead of what I ordered I had only received a bagel with cream cheese. It was good, but not what I ordered or wanted. I looked in the bag for a receipt, which there was none. I couldn't leave work to immediately take it back. I ate the food that wasn't what I ordered, but I'm a bit peeved at having spent 25 minutes and $11 on a bagel with cream cheese. read more

At the time of writing this review, this Einstein Bros Bagels has a 2.5 star rating on Yelp with 101 reviews. That sounds about right. This Einstein Bros is located in a freestanding building on Howell Mill Road near I-285 near Kroger and Walmart. It's been here for as long as I can remember. I first visited this location circa 2004-05 while I was a student at Georgia Tech. It took me about 15 years to make my second visit. With all of the changes in Atlanta, especially food-wise, over the past decade-and-a-half, I'm somewhat surprised this place is still standing. They must be doing something right, but I'm sure Newk's Eatery (which opened behind Einstein Bros in 2018) hasn't helped matters. 15 years later, this place is pretty much just as I remembered it. I even ordered one of the same things again. This is a breakfast/lunch bagel and coffee shop chain. It opens early (5am on weekdays) and closes early (4pm Monday-Friday, 3pm Sunday). There's a patio and drive-thru, which are nice. The parking lot and building are old and not in the best shape, but it could be worse. The inside of the restaurant isn't very big, but it's spacious enough. It feels sort of like a bakery-cafe with multiple types of seating including a nook. The ordering setup is fast-casual. Fountain drinks and coffee are self-serve. There's also a grab-and-go fridge with bottled drinks, fruit cups, chips, and more. Fresh-baked bagels are placed in the counter's display case daily. During our visit later in the day (around 1:30pm), the selection was still sizable with about 20 different bagel varieties to choose from. Prices were $1.39 for a classic bagel, $1.49 for a signature bagel, $1.99 for a gourmet bagel, and +$1.59 for a shmear/spread. Half dozens were $9.39 per box with shmear and $6.89 without. Baker's dozens (13) were $15.39 per box with shmear, $11.39 without. Einstein's also serves various bagel sandwiches with and without cage-free eggs. Those ranged in price anywhere from $4.69 for a bagel with cheddar cheese and egg to $7.99 for a nova lox with side. For coffee, they serve Caribou Coffee. My fiancee and I ordered off the Signature Creations menu. I had the nova lox with potato salad as my side ($7.99). My fiancee had the turkey, bacon, and avocado with potato salad as her side ($7.49). Both orders were supposed to come with a pickle, but the nova lox was missing one. In addition to potato salad, other side options were chips and fresh fruit. My fiancee initially asked for fresh fruit as her side, but was told by the cashier that no fresh fruit was currently available at the time because none had been cut. Since they were out of fresh fruit, my fiancee asked if she could substitute in one of the 12-ounce fruit salad cups in the fridge next to the register. The cashier nodded and said yes. However, what the cashier didn't tell us was that the fruit cup was $2.99 plus tax ($3.26). We didn't find out until after I paid and my fiancee looked at the itemized receipt. On top of that, it turned out that the fruit cup had already expired. Yikes. We asked for a refund on the fruit cup and got one. Then my fiancee asked for potato salad to be the side. The nova lox was delicious and better than the turkey, bacon, and avocado. The nova lox was prepared with yummy fillets of brined salmon, capers, and rings of raw red onion over a bagel with cream cheese spread. The ingredients were fresh and everything together was flavorful and satisfying. There were a lot of capers and they were very salty and tart. I recommend the nova lox. The turkey, bacon, and avocado looked better than it tasted. My fiancee ordered it on an Asiago cheese bagel. A few things were disappointing about this bagel sandwich: (1) it was unbalanced; some bites had no meat, other bites had nothing but meat, (2) there was a lot old, wilted lettuce inside, (3) the bacon was too chewy, and (4) overall, it really wasn't a very flavorful nor enjoyable sandwich; just kinda meh. Take a look at my pictures to see the lettuce they used. Unacceptable. On the bright side, the sandwich was filling and the other ingredients were fresh enough. The pickle spear was good; crisp and appetizing. The potato salads were fine. Even though the place wasn't very busy, it took an unusually long time for us to get our order for some reason. Combined with the fruit snafu described above, the service we experienced wasn't great. The manager was aware of this and offered us a free pastry from the display case to make up for it. I chose the cinnamon walnut strudel and it was terrific. Sweet, soft, nutty, and scrumptious. Along with the nova lox, the cinnamon walnut strudel is another item I recommend from Einstein's. I'm not sure when I'm coming back next. Maybe before another 15 years go by? read more

I wasn't going to make a review, but this I think you should know since I wasn't able to get through to the store via phone. I wanted to share this sooner rather than later for the sake of your business and avoiding food poisoning... I went today and got bagels and a tub of cream cheese and it was over a month expired. It looked like there may have been some new employees so teaching FIFO would be helpful to avoid this issue (as a business owner I'm sure you know). On a positive note- the bagels were delicious and fresh. There was an issue with not receiving the online order through your system but they were happy to get my order to me quickly, with an apology and a smile. I would go back but I hope in the future you all will check the expiration dates to avoid food borne illness. I love their bagels. My go to is cinnamon raisin with cream cheese. Today I wanted something different so I got the Cheese and egg bagel. It was very tasty but the hash brown was horrid. It was so greasy the napkins in the bag were unable to be used because they soaked up all the grease. I didn't even bother tasting it; it went right in the trash. Chai tea latte tasted like warm milk with a hint of chai - do not recommend. I'd get the bagel sandwich and any bagel with schmear again but avoid the chai and hash brown at all cost. read more

I get to the window to be told they don't have mocha, would I like Carmel? I reply no, so she says have a good one and promptly closes the window in my face. I wait for her to open it back up and tell her I'd still like a coffee. She comes back with a huge cup of coffee filled to the brim, with tons of coffee grounds in it and again closes the window in my face. The all nighter sandwhich looked in the photo on Grubhub like it was freshly made quality and you would think for $8.75 but no everything is pre made and the bacon wasn't even cooked all the way with some fake craft cheese on here . I can probably count the number of times I've gone into any Einsteins location on one hand. Im not a big bagel eater and most of the time they aren't located near my home or work, but today I was on near Howell Mill and just finished a work out so I stopped here to get some carbs. I ordered the cinnamon raisin bagel with the honey almond schmear. The drive through was wrapped around the building but the line moved rather fast. I was in the drive through and was not aware that they would have already "schmeared" the bagel by the time I pulled around, but they had. It was enough cream cheese on the bagel for 3 bagels. Im not big on condiments and toppings so it was entirely too much for my liking. I also think I ended up with plain cream cheese cause there was nothing flavor wise that suggested honey almond to me. The lady that worked the drive though was friendly, had a great attitude for the 1-2 min interaction we had and wished me a pleasant day as I pulled off. Right at $7 for two bagels with schmear and again, both bagels had enough schmear on them for 3 additional bagels each. Still more of a Panera girl, but will keep in mind if I ever come back, that I need to remind them to be light on the schmear. read more

But every second counts when you have to get in Atlanta morning traffic. * I ordered a wheat bagel, toasted, with light cream cheese and a regular coffee. This morning, the employee gave me the option to have it toasted!! The cream cheese spread was also already put on the bagel for me. Idk why, but I like to put on my own cream cheese. The bagel was pretty good. A little burnt around one side. But it was still good and really fresh. The cream cheese was really good!! Just what I was craving. I am middle of the fence with this place. That being said, there are some definite positives that directly impacted my decision to give this a higher score than average. Let's start with the negatives. The menu is pretty expansive as there are several options. However, when you're ordering you never really know what you're getting on their roulette wheel. Today, for example, I got the farmhouse. Last time I ordered this I was given plain cream cheese. Today I was given a scallion cream cheese. Not sure which is the right cream cheese since the menu simply says that you can get the sandwich named farmhouse. Personally, I'm deathly allergic to onions so I got to throw a $7 sandwich in the trash. Just a personal qualm I have with not having ingredients listed. This location in particular is tough to get in and out of, but that's not really anything Einstein's can help. More just that Howell Mill is an insane road to navigate so be safe. Now on to the positives: when I am able to eat the food, it is always amazing. Always fresh, piping hot and overall a great value for the food. The staff keeps me coming back here as well. Also I didn't know they had flavored coffee, but I ended up getting a Carmel cream cold brew that was to die for. Love Einstein brothers bagels always fresh and delicious. I usually buy one bagel to go after eating there and cream cheese. I enjoy the breakfast bagels they have several to choose from from. Oh and I get free coffee in February because of rewards I earned. It has a few outside tables and a few inside. I prefer to eat inside because I don't like eating in my car. My wife went in this morning near 6:45 AM - the bagel was completely burned. She simply asked for a remake, but the associate wanted to argue. My wife simply asked for either a refund or remake...and then the manager got involved, but she too wanted to argue! Sigh. My wife walked away with her money returned, no burned bagel and upon showing up at work...they were having a breakfast bar!! This is most definitely the worst most rude Einstein's I have ever been to due to many many reasons. The costumer service is absolutely terrible. The workers could care less if your order was right, the way they treat you, and anything to do with you. I have not met ONE good worker there for all the times I have been there. The only reason I go is because it is so close to where I live, but honestly, I would rather drive somewhere farther than put up with their BS every time. It is just ridiculous that they feel as though they can give any person who orders rude attitude all because they hate themselves. My friend and I just went to Einstein's and ordered two bagels with cream cheese and the amount of cream cheese they put on the bagel was honestly laughable.
