The cases were filled with hundreds of freshly made bagels when I walked in. It was hard to decide, so I selected my standard Everything Bagel with egg and bacon. There is no dine-in, I took my bagel to eat in the car. My bagel, wrapped like a present, was warm and perfectly chewy. The service is friendly and fast. Bagels are reasonably priced. Tubs of flavored cream cheese are available in a case. They even sell the tee shirts. I found lots of parking in the shared lot. It would be nice to have a little table or bench outside to eat (hint, hint).

Plenty of free parking in the back and likely some street parking in the front. Staff members were friendly and were working hard as it was the morning of Valentines Day and there was a lot of love for this place being shown with people picking up pre-orders and special latte and flower bundles. So, we had fresh bagels for dinner and they were delicious. The bagels were coated on both sides with a perfect blend of carmelized onion bits, aromatic garlic, sea salt, sesame and poppy seeds. I could taste that the seasoning were freshly prepared, as were the bagels. We purchased the bagels from the "Bearded Bagel" chef at the Westfield Farmers Market. He is a regular vendor and was friendly. Bagels range from $10-$12 /pack of six. I was excited to learn that the Bearded Bagels can also be found at their store on 96th Street. We were celebrating a birthday so there was a group of 4 and we ordered different items; an omelette, a salad and avacado toast. I appreciated that they let me make substitutions to the Robins nest. I wanted the caramelized onions but they weren't on the list to build your own omelette. The portion was large and filling, I was just sad that I wasn't given the option for a coulis or compote but received butter instead. The salad had all of the components that was listed but was lacking in portion and dressing and for the price fell short. Our real disappointment came with the Avacado Toast (which 3 of us almost ordered and we're glad we didn't). When it came, we could not find any actual avacado, instead there was a very thin (and brown) layer of pureed avocado. We asked the waitress if it was missing and she pointed and said No, this is it. We asked if we could have an actual avocado for the avocado toast and were told that they did not have any that were ripe. We assume the last ripe one went onto the salad we had ordered. They did bring out a side of the pureed avocado but it was clearly old and did not taste right so it was not eaten. Unfortunately, this experience and the waitresses handling of it, left a bad taste in our mouth (literally for one of us) and put a damper on the beginning of our day.
