Really great bagels, I had the Applewood & Cheddar on asiago and my wife had the California Lox. Everything tasted amazing but this isn't really a stay in and dine kind of place. Second time visiting this place and the service was horrible. Not only did they try to rush me and tried to make me feel stupid because I didn't know the menu (mind you it was only my second time there) but they assumed I wanted my order to go and didn't even ask if I wanted to dine in, and when I said something about it, one of the girls working there made a "face" and just turned around as if she was annoyed, thankfully the other young lady said "no problem we can fix that" and gave me a basket to dine in. Bagels here are the best, very fresh and good varieties. Nice menu of hand crafted espresso drinks. Cold brew is better than the mermaid place. Love the lox and Hubbie loves chorizo sunrise sandwich with fresh avocado. Schmear tubs are a good value considering the quality and flavor, all yummy, jalapeño salsa schmear and honey almond are a couple of favorites. They also have full assortment of croissants, pastries, muffins. Restaurant is sparkling clean and employees go above and beyond. Love the Christmas decorations, too. read more

The bagels, bagel sandwiches and smears are good. The coffee is routinely cold and if you get the wrong staff member they'll act rude and put off. Porcha has routinely been rude and messed up my family's order a few times and never corrects it and charges for her mistakes. I give this place two stars because the owner or head manager is extremely nice and welcoming and a few of the staff are excellent. After today I'm not sure I'll be able to return. read more

LOVE. I got the cinnamon sugar bagel with honey cream cheese and it was the bomb. I really wanted blueberry but they were sold out. You can make your own bagel, bagel sandwich, or you can choose from their menu options. You can sit down at a table or in comfy chairs and watch tv. I was so excited to find an Einstein Bros Bagels in Chesapeake. I discovered them this summer with my sister this summer in Ohio. Best bagels ever, always super friendly conscientious employees. I am so disappointed today. The lady totally half assed my sandwich. It's mostly cold, she didn't heat anything up except for barely warming up the bagel!!! Nothing worse than being so excited for food and it turning out terrible, what a waste of calories. I will be back, hoping a different employee is working. read more

Ill start by saying the bagels are good but the competence of the staff that puts the toppings on the bagels is another story. I don't know how hard it is to understand when someone asks for butter and jelly on both sides of the bagel when its cut in half. After the bagel is cut in half, put butter and jelly on the top half and butter and jelly on the bottom half. After my fourth visit to this location, that request is still mind boggling to the Einstein Bros Bagels staff and they still can not figure that out. read more

Food was not bad. Nothing out of the ordinary. Lattes are decent. Some lattes are a bit bitter. It could be better. Their doggy treats for over a dollar suck and is very hard. Definitely not edible. Most of the employees there were really nice and accommodating. However, the cashier we had yesterday morning was really rude. Tahara may have been having a bad day. When my husband and myself approached her register with smiles, she took that away as her demeanor and attitude was negative and rude. While waiting for our food, we realized that Tahara messed up our order as we asked for two breakfast sandwiches. But only received one. If she was my so busy being rude and having an attitude maybe things could have gone smoother that morning for us and other customers I observed having a problem. read more

ARRRRRRRGH! the frustration of the inept staff. Seems to me they threw open the doors but forgot to train the staff. I went there twice to give them a break but no more. One person starts to take your order then they disappear. Another person takes over then your items get to the cash register, cashier starts to ring it up. THen you guessed it, they disappear. Disclaimer: went in around 11am on Mother's Day, so I'm not sure if this was a good indication of normal business or not. Waited in line for a good 10 minutes or more and when I ordered, they didn't have what I wanted -- the Deluxe Croissant. They have it largely plastered on their menu board AND as their featured item online, yet they don't have it? Really? This is largely why my husband and I came in. They also ran out of hash browns when we got there. So for the rest of the 4 hours you're open you won't let any customer know what you're out of? At least have a sign saying what you are out of so we don't have to scramble and find a backup order when we get to the register. Also, why was there was line when there were at least 7 employees back there working? After we ordered it only took less than 2 minutes to get our order up. The bagel sandwiches were just ok, nothing special to say the least. Not sure is this is poor planning or just poor execution, but everything needs improvement. I have been there 3 times and 2 of the times they have got my sandwich wrong and it is a very easy sandwich - Asiago bagel, ham and mozzarella. THAT IS IT! Somehow it goes in the register correctly but the sandwich makers get it wrong. It is such a shame because the bagels are good, but most of the staff is horrible. Truth be told, the manager Tahara fixed the problem both times. But it is a sandwich, not something complicated and it should not be this hard to get a sandwich right. read more

I will never eat here again. There were more employees behind the counter than customers when I went in. I ordered two toasted sesame bagels with salmon schmear to go. I was handed two little bags with cream cheese smeared on the outside that I had to wipe off myself before leaving. When I went to eat the bagels they were both burnt black on the top with the cream cheese spread on to cover. There is no way the staff missed this. It wasn't busy. They just didn't care. Unfortunately, I was too far away when I discovered this to go back and complain. The bagels tasted awful and ended up in the trash. No wonder this place was empty at lunch time. read more

I always order the Thintastic chicken pesto. I switch out the thin bagel for the asiago bagel. It's really good. I get it with the Einstein kettle cooked potato chips, and NO pickles on the side. First time here, very disappointed... Got a cheesy bacon crunch with garlic herb smear. The bagel was warm, the center still cool! The guy prepping didn't bother to read the order and gave me garden veg smear. Took it back and just asked them to put herb garlic on top of other smear. Wasn't worth the wait for a new order. First time here. In town visiting and stopped in for breakfast. Ordered the Asparagus Mushroom Egg White bagel. Bagels seemed a little small for the price but was still very tasty. I ordered an Iced White Chocolate coffee and after a few sips I realized it definitely needed a few extra pumps of syrup. It hardly had any flavor to it. It would be nice is the cashier got the name right that was given with the order because we sat there for a few minutes trying to figure out whose name they were calling. read more

I frequent this Einstein's location 2-3 times per week and have been for several months. I will be looking for a new spot as I've become tired of cleaning my own table or searching for a table without crumbs or drink residue; unreliable wifi; and an manager that doesn't seem to be in tune with basic customer service skills (corrected cashier in front of customers for charging a customer 50 cents for coffee- promotion ended unbeknownst to cashier) then deleted transaction and charged customer full price. Someone ordered a pumpkin bagel and was told they stopped selling them right after Halloween- despite signs being up advertising pumpkin bagels. These folks need to step up their game if they want to be competitive in Greenbrier. read more

If I could give this location half a star I would. 6 employees standing around. As customers leave tables, no one wiped down or sanitized. One young lady had on gloves - continually touched the outside of her mask with her whole hands, folded her arms touching palm of same gloves to her skin, got her phone out of her pocket with same gloves, touched counter with same gloves and then touched and served people food with same gloves. When my husband told her it to touch his food with those gloves they thought it was funny. People are dying in this pandemic and we have people like this serving your food. One young man finally came from behind the counter to wipe down - no sanitizing solution used, just a dirty rag. He used this rag to wipe coffee area, trash bin area and then used same nasty rag to wipe tables. Where are the CDC guidelines being followed in this establishment? Maybe train these young people how to do a job instead of just standing around yapping, playing on their phones and using nasty gloves to serve people food. I agree with a prior reviewer to not offer one until a few trips and I came in this time around 1:00 pm (as opposed to 215 pm last time when the service was really bad). When I arrived this time, the counter person was moving about the back area for about 2-3 minutes before he even greeted you to say, "I'll be back in a few (more) minutes". Finally, after about 5 minutes total, he takes my order for an Asiago, toasted with butter and an Iced Coffee. I was able to settle into a table with my laptop and study materials and went back to pay. The other employee finally came out to help and I told here what I had ordered and paid. I started on my laptop for few minutes and turned around to see a single bag on the counter (they never called my order out for pickup). My full transaction probably entailed about 5-6 minutes with two customers sitting already and nobody in line. Sadly, this visit may have affirmed by last one (4 days earlier). The service is subpar, the food ok and the prices too high. ON the positive, internet requires no password and it's pretty quick. The two lackluster employees were the same from Saturday so it may be them not the whole staff or place. I might come back again to speak to the owners but this place just became lower on my priority list of place to patronize. I posted my Saturday service last week on FB and found concurrence of poor service at this location. The recent reviews also are consistent with these two visit. #ClosingDownSoon read more

If your just looking for plain bagels it's good. But the creations from the menu are just ok at best, especially for the price they charge.

We went this morning for breakfast and will never go back. While making coffee one employee took the filter holder out of the industrial maker and emptied it in the garbage can. No problem there but it was when he banged it around on the inside of the can and then put it right back into the machine that was gross. Another employee came to refill the cream with gloves on his hands. It wasn't until he put his gloved hands in his pants pockets, scratched his hair, readjusted his hat and then started making orders again with the same gloves on. The final straw was the hair in my husbands latte. We aren't even going to complain that this is the second time out order was not right. Honestly it wasn't worth the price or the aggravation. read more
