My coffee was great and the bagels were so good especially the cheese and jalapeño one! My boyfriend did not like his coffee too much and we had to add some milk but it was not bad either. Next time we will just try a different coffee instead. The service was great and not long. There was somewhere to sit while you wait and the business was clean. This was june 2024:)

I rarely come to this Einstein Bagels in Encinitas. Looks like it needs an update. Love the location, it was clean and friendly. I was greeted immediately. I ordered my Farm house Bagel sandwich and it was delicious. Staff, thanked me for coming. If you haven't stopped by, give it some love!! Bagels and everything was fresh

Geesh..I don't know. I was taken aback when my husband picked up a bakers dozen for $20. When we opened it the bagels were TINY. 3.5 inches in diameter to be exact. Is that the going size now? Inflation..deflation? Weighed them too, roughly 3.3 ounces. Personally I don't think it's right to customers and we won't be back.

Granted, there was incentive to give a good review (see picture) BUT I genuinely would give 5 stars. The people were incredibly kind and the bagel was the same consistent Einstein's bagel you can get anywhere. I don't really get why the reviews are so low.

Geniuses.

I ordered hummus on mine for $2 more and they put about half a spoonful on both slices of my bagel. Pretty disappointed about that:(

These people never cease to amaze me, they act like they never heard of cream cheese on a bagel! What a crew of dim bulbs.

A Kaiser roll with a hole down the middle is not a bagel. Shouldn't take an Einstein to figure this out.

Really, really solid chicken sandwich. We got the lowest level of spice and it was plenty of spice…read morefor us. The slaw is saucy, slightly sweet and the perfect complement to the crispy chicken. I like that it was crispy without having to be heavily breaded. The bun was toasted nicely as well to add to the crispy, freshness of the experience. Overall it was just really well balanced. On the critical side, I agree with previous reviewers that this doesn't need to be/shouldn't be a full service restaurant. The service was slow even when not busy which was fine since we weren't in a hurry but under different circumstances unnecessary. We actually got up and paid at the counter as we were tired of waiting. Also, duck fat fries were fun and I enjoyed having a few but having similar seasoning to the chicken was more than I needed. I would have preferred the plain I think. Next time I want to try the fish sandwich because I could see it being really good based on the chicken sandwich quality. Also, all the drinks coming out were so pretty and would be fun to try especially if slightly sweet to balance the chicken spice. Overall, we consider our visit a success and will be back for sure.

Salad/Kona Bowl was delicious... but also +$12 for chicken +$16 for albacore? Seems like you're paying for the name, so overall... high prices, mediocre food. Wish we loved it.

We came in hungry! I had stopped into Forchettina in Encinitas before, to bring food to my daughter…read moreand her family. And we go back to that location decades, with different owners. The turn over is amazing. But this time, this restaurant is here to stay! I must congratulation this Italian Couple from Sicily and Naples only to say: This location has finally landed in the right hands! We start with a terrific Italian Red, recommended by the owner. Caesar Salad and Marinated Artichoke Hearts. That's what I thought the menu says but it turns out to be yummy grilled Artichokes, that includes the heart. Next is a Chicken Parmesan Plate that includes penne marinara and I take a Sausage Pizza. Totally authentic. Totally enjoyable. Totally satisfied. We will be back for sure!
