Yelp 100 Challenge- #36 Visited in July 2025 thru the drive thru. Customer Service was great and the employee was patient while I looked over the menu. Order their Maple House Bagel with one egg and one hash brown. The bagel was made fresh and it was delicious. I wasn't a huge fan of their thick hash brown, but it was worth a try. Minus one star, they purchased collecting payment had on a dirty ripped glove. It seemed very unsanitary, so I watched to ensure he did not tough any food items or handle my food and he didn't. Wtf man. I came home after this visit telling my daughter "never again!" to which she replied "you always say that" (about this location). Every time. EVERY time they mess up the order. Usually, we get anywhere from 4-12 bagels and a tub of shmear or two. There's always either one missing or cinnamon raisin instead of cinnamon sugar (we all hate raisins). But ok I get annoyed and let it go. Every place messes up sometimes. Then we don't go back for months, eventually trying again due to its proximity and lack of customers at the drive thru. The chain's bagels are passable. But this location... everything gets screwed up. Today took the cake. I ordered 2 bagels, just 2, and one tub of schmear. I got a free iced coffee. Did not special order or customize or even add sweeteners or cream. I can do that at home. I immediately noticed upon pick up at the drive thru that the iced coffee had milk or cream. But hey it was free and I'm not allergic. So I let it go. I was in an extreme hurry so I didn't pull over to check that two bagels were there. The bag felt hefty. I got home. They had put the schmear and napkins in one bagel bag and then a poorly sliced bagel cold at the bottom. (I had ordered toasted). How the f do you screw up with a tiny order not once but TWICE?! I have been to this place two times. I m excited to share my review of this famous beagle. The beagles are baked with perfectly crisp exteriors and soft interiors. The toppings and spreads are filled with flavors. Each beagle is presented neatly, showcasing attention to detail. I have tried their green chile gourmet bagel with a shmear of jalapeno salsa and garden avocado egg breakfast sandwich. The shmear was delicious The service was friendly and quick. Prices are reasonable. The ambiance was excellent and clean, with both the outdoor and indoor sitting tasty meal worth visiting. read more

I can tell she hates her job and all she cares about is talking/flirting with her coworker about what acquaintance of hers has a boyfriend and who is at mcdonald's. she didn't tell us anything after we ordered and just immediately rolled her eyes and walked off and went to complain about something to her coworker because they kept looking at us. when she's the one who didn't care to greet us or anything just a "what do you want" "that's all?" their tables are dirty and disgusting and instead of cleaning those at all they were all just standing around and not doing anything. i'm not sure who the manager is , but if it's the one with the heavy accent he didn't care to manage any of his employees and was also in the conversation about who has a boyfriend with the front register girl. read more

I've been an Einstein Bros. Bagel customer for many years. I usually order through their phone app, which is very easy to do. The problem is, all the locations near my home have closed down! I found myself to be in Frisco during the morning hours and had earned a free birthday bagel egg sandwich. I decided to go to this Preston & Lebanon location to redeem the freebie since I was nearby. This location has a drive through, which is a bonus! I placed my order for two Ham and Swiss egg on sesame bagels and pulled up my phone app at the pickup window. They scanned the code on the app and my total reflected the discounted amount charging me for only one egg sandwich. The order was filled really fast. After I got home, I noticed that the Ham and Swiss egg sandwiches were on plain bagels, not on sesame. Maybe they didn't have any sesame bagels at the time, but no one said anything, so it was a little disappointing. I warmed it up for a few seconds in the microwave. The sandwich tasted pretty good (although I did miss the sesame seeds on the bagel). read more

My daughter and I went to the drive thru for some bagels and coffee. This was our first time at this location, so we took a minute to look over the menu and place our order. Our wait in line wasn't long, it took roughly 10 minutes. We noticed the man at the window smiling and laughing with the customer ahead of us, but when we pulled up, he didn't look happy to see us. He didn't welcome us, my daughter was driving and she told him "Good Morning", but he didn't reply to her. He handed her our food and literally didn't say anything to her. She thanked him, but he didn't say anything back, he just closed the window. I'm not sure why he acted like that. He treated my daughter like she did something wrong.     On the flip-side, the bagels were tasty and fresh. For me, Customer Service is a big deal. When a customer chooses to visit an establishment, they're paying for the total package, not just the food. There are so many food options to choose from these days, and if a customer chooses to spend their money at your store, they deserve a smile, a Thank you, and good customer service.   It's such a shame that the tasty food here, doesn't match the poor customer service we received. read more

I have not been to this particular location in years, but went this last Sunday (May 26) with my husband for a a quick snack. Interestingly, the last time I went to this location, I rated my experience with 3 stars, but now I must downgrade the experience to only 1 star. From my previous experience, I knew not to expect that they would have potato bagels late in the day. However, I did not expect to also be treated to: 1. Some loud yelling session between those working behind the counter, as well as... 2. A surly employee sweeping the floor near us while we were eating, and making floor particles airborne in our direction. Who doesn't know not to sweep in the direction of people eating?? Additionally, they gave my husband the incorrect bagel, but my sweet husband does not like to complain. Einstein Brothers makes really good bagels, but I will have to make the journey to the Plano location from now. Chain bagel restaurant. Downloaded their app to order food ahead. This particular location offered curbside pickup. Arriving at the store, there was a curbside area but on the other side of the building. Their app had no indication "I'm here" like many other apps I use for curbside pickup. I decided to jump in line at the drive thru, and that line had cars curving around the lot. So now, I had to find parking in an already full lot to go inside to grab my order. Inside was also full; they were obviously busy. No signage for mobile order pick ups. I wasn't about to jump in a very long line of customers waiting to place an order. I proceeded to head towards the pay here sign. Only one person manning the register. I waited until he had finished with 3 customers before he acknowledged me and I said mobile order. He told me to proceed to the middle counter for pick up. Where in the world would ANYONE know that you would have to go to the middle of the queue counter, which means you would have to cut in the middle of the line to grab your food?!? That made zero sense. Grabbed my food and headed to the car. So much for curbside pickup. The food was not outstanding (egg sandwich), service was confusing, and their app useless. read more

My husband and I stopped here this morning after going to to urgent care for a COVID test. We tested Negative. My daughter tested positive yesterday. My husband and I both had N95 masks on. They have signs stating that masks are required. A man in front of us had a black mask on but he was literally wearing it on his chin. It was not covering his mouth or his nose. He was literally putting the rest of the patrons health in jeopardy. In fact, he was also around food which could further jeopardize patrons. I finally asked him respectfully "Sir can you please wear your mask correctly. You are putting people's health at risk." He told me to mind my own business and STFU. He continued to argue.I informed him of the CDC guidelines and told him my daughter has COVID and we just got tested (we tested negative) I asked the people who run the restaurant what their stance on it was. I was not yelling. He was. Unfortunately, the language barrier hindered us from getting very far in the conversation with him yelling. I pleaded with him to wear the mask properly to protect others. He swore at me again. My husband then got angry. He didn't swear at the guy but defended me and went to call the police. I calmed him down. He finally put his mask on properly. The staff offered to give us free food. I declined but thanked them. It's important that restaurants make sure their staff are tight how to deal with people who clearly don't respect these unfortunate times. Masks are an inconvenience. I get that. None of us like them. However, let's do better. Just wear the damn mask. Wash your hands. Let's keep each other from getting sick. It's no joke. And frankly, I shouldn't had to stand up for the patrons in the restaurant. The staff should have asked him to leave if he was unwilling to wear a mask. read more

I have been a customer since they opened, I love their bagels, they are always fresh and their bakers dozen is a very convenient way to feed a lot of people for very little money. This location is owned by a family that obviously dreads the mere thought of having to interact with people that want to give their patronage to their business. Every single person that works here treats you like they hate their jobs and their life. They will speak to you with the least amount of words possible and very rarely you will get a hello or a thank you. As much as I like their bagels it's increasingly painful to come here. Today the drive thru cashier spoke maybe 3 words to me and he seamed angry, resentful of the job he has. So we ordered a Caramel Coffee Cooler and we were charged $.80 for whipped cream, it literally says "We top our Caramel Coffee Cooler with a halo of whipped cream..." in the description of the drink on the menu on their own app. When we asked the cashier at the window about it her response was well a lot of people don't like whipped cream so we charge extra for it. I love Einstein bagels across the US! But this location is the worst. It clearly is family owned and the woman is so incredibly rude to her customers. There have been two occasions where my sandwich did not meet the Einstein bagel product that I'm used to paying for So I have kindly brought it up to their attention and the lady yells at me. She argues her point until you walk away upset. None of the employees including her husband and son are empowered to make managerial decisions based off customer expectations she Hass to come from the back and have you repeat the story all over again as if they didn't give her a heads up she yells at you makes you feel like you're in the wrong and refuses to give you any money back. My sandwich today had mold on the egg I brought it up to her attention and she yelled at me and said it is not mold and she said where is the other half of the sandwich I said I am sick to my stomach that I ate it But it still does not make it right that there is mold she didn't offer to make me a new one she didn't offer to give my money back she just Argued with me until I continue to argue back and things got escalated and another woman said just give her her money back there clearly is mold on the egg. Horrible customer service at the drive-thru window Went through the drive-thru for some bagels and came to the speaker where the lady immediately told me to pull up stating, "It's too loud, pull up to the window" with an attitude after I started to order. As I pulled up, I gave my order and the lady at the window continued with the attitude as I was trying to get my order in. I didn't have the menu there with me so I had to ask her about the bagels. She continued to complain about not being able to hear me but at this point, I knew it was her because I was speaking loud enough. This woman (of Indian descent) had no patience at all and continued to glare at us through the window as we were waiting. She continued to glare more, even at my wife who didn't say anything, after we got our food. I am absolutely appalled at the lack of customer service at this location and judging by the other complaints, it isn't just me...which is what I suspected. You would seriously have to put effort into the kind of horrible service that we got, it doesn't just happen like that. The bagel itself was good but the cream cheese was smeared all over very sloppily. I don't understand how someone can work at someplace like this and be angry all the time. I've come to this location a few times over the last month or so and have always ordered the same 2 things for my fiancé and I: caramel cream cold brew and a caramel cold brew shake. Every single time the order has been inconsistent. I literally just came back and I'm positive they gave me an iced latte that doesn't taste like caramel AT ALL and they didn't put any whipped cream on the cold brew shake. When I asked where the whipped cream was the guy at the window said they ran out... Okay, so you didn't think to mention this when I placed the order? A customer should always receive what they ordered and paid for, and if something isn't available or was made incorrectly, then it's your job to let a customer know and/or make the order correctly. Stupidity or rudeness or both??? To the owner of this establishment, check out the reviews and see what your clients are saying about your staff.
