I stopped by Einstein Bros. Bagels in Clearwater and had a solid experience overall. I ordered a jalapeno cream cheese bagel and it hit the spot with good flavor and a nice little kick. The bagel was fresh and the cream cheese was spread well, making it a simple but satisfying meal. The place had a steady flow of customers but the service moved pretty smoothly and I did not wait long. Everything felt quick and convenient which is exactly what I want from a bagel stop. I would give it four stars. Good food, reliable stop, just not quite perfect but definitely worth going back to when I am in the area. read more

I usually go to Starbucks. I ordered a large chai tea latte. I was going to ask for almond milk. But NOT for $1.10 extra. I got it 20 minutes later. After I asked for it. It was cold inside, and my friend wanted to sit outside. Both areas were adequate. But a gentleman was outside, proselytizing to a young man. He was loud enough that I did NOT want to listen. My friend enjoyed her bagel & cream cheese. But my large chai tea latte should NOT have been served. It had sludge on the top so I mixed it up. Then it was on the bottom. It tasted grainy, and the sludge was undrinkable. I took it to the cashier who referred me to the manager standing nearby, listening. Supposedly the machine was broken and steamed milk was burned. It's a Monday. Clearly, they need someone to come and help. Whether it be a manager or someone who could support the single blonde longhaired woman who is actually doing something. Slow and confusing you can't tell where to order. It's order down by the register where you pay, but then select your bagels so you're not standing in front of bagels you're way over to the side. And then they just sort of go off into space while you wander back to see what's left. Tianna in particular needs a little motivation. She's not doing anything but standing there absently. She asked what bagels i wanted, then interrupted my order to ask if it was a half dozen. Yes that's 6. She managed to ring it in and said It'll be ready when it's ready. That's very reassuring. You need a competent staff. First of all when you call in the order they ask your name. I called in my order and told them my name and they claimed another person with my name took my order. If that's the case then why didn't they have 2 orders with my name and they didn't have the bagels I ordered left. Total incompetence and they didn't even offer to fill my order the next day. This is a great bagel place. I don't go here often but when I do I have always had good service and good food. I happened to go there twice in two weeks, which is rare because I really don't get breakfast out much. Last weekend I had an everything bagel with their low fat salsa jalapeno spread. OMG that spread is delicious! I am a fan of spicy food and that spread is now my favorite. I also had their cold brew coffee and it is also delicious. Today my husband wanted to know what I wanted for breakfast and I said Einstein's. I had the nova lox bagel sandwich on an everything bagel with low fat garlic spread and the cold brew coffee again. Delicious. The salmon (lox) is fresh and good, the veggies are crisp. The coffee they carry now is Caribou Coffee. If you are from "up north" you will be familiar with it. The selection, the level of service and the freshness is always fantastic, and the coffee is always hot and fresh. We tend to go for the bagel sandwiches, but they have a bakers dozen bagel option that's out of this world. They have a fantastic selection of cream cheese and other schmears. I live less than a mile away from this location, but I refuse to go there anymore and instead drive 20 minutes to Clearwater. Very corporate, bagels not as good as other locations, skimpy with the cream cheese and overcharge for extras ($1.59 for more cream cheese?!) and some of the staff are less personable. As someone who doesn't commonly eat bagels, the food was to die for. The customer service here was mediocre at best. Being our first time here, we stood on the wrong side of the line for quite some time and no worker, nor the manager standing close by, told us. It was very obvious we were confused. Thanks to Christian, Noah and this store's team for ruining a carefully planned, Yom Kippur break the fast. I placed a bagel order days before our holiday with Christian. The manager, Noah, confirms he saw the order but when I drove to pick it up, nothing. The types of stale bagels left to choose from was unappetizing and not at all what we had planned. I am now stuck with a dozen flavors my family doesn't even like. When I suggested Noah ask another store if they still had the kinds we ordered and he could make it right by having door dash drive them to us, I was laughed at and the girl behind the counter said "why don't you just go to a Publix, yourself?" My partner and I went in today 10 minutes before close... I get it... I used to work at Panera and nothing is worse than someone coming right when breakfast is about to end and you have to make an egg but I would NEVER make the customer feel like an inconvenience and that's exactly how the cashier made us feel today. She was huffing and puffing as we ordered and it felt very rushed. Then when I got my food i was just so disappointed. I got the avocado toast which is like $5 and I've attached a picture... hardly any avocado, almost no seasoning and what is on there is just chunks of avocado not spread out at all really. Maybe other locations have just set the expectations too high because I have never felt this way about this dish before. But issues with the food aside, the customer service is what really put me off today. If you don't like serving customers, don't work in customer service. Plain and simple.
