Customer Service is terrible. I tried to pay for my order with $100 bill and was told that they did not accept $100 bills and I asked how is that possible? She replied we can do whatever we want. Then turned around and walked away started pouring coffee or some other drink. And then comes back and goes you've timed out... Then ask the next person what they wanted totally dismissing me so I said it probably timed out because you walked away. She snarly replied, no it's because you took too long. This is inappropriate and uncalled for I don't need to be disrespected or talk down to you when I walk into a fast food restaurant or any restaurant for that matter. It then took 15 minutes to make my breakfast sandwich which I could've made at home in less than 10 minutes. This is in unacceptable!! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. We really enjoyed everything we ordered. Unfortunately, the service was very disappointing. Our server was inattentive, often ignored our requests, and brought items much later than expected. We had to ask multiple times for simple things like water and extra wasabi, and even then not everything was brought correctly. It's a shame because the food is excellent, but the poor service took away from the overall experience. I hope the restaurant improves its customer service, as the kitchen truly deserves better. read more

I hate complaining about this place. Usually the service is good. The employees can be grumpy but I don't blame them. Serving the public isn't easy but one particular cashier needs to be called out for blatantly lying and having an extremely rude and unprofessional attitude. My husband and I came in and ordered 2 custom bagel sandwiches, no drink. We paid with a $50. I watched my husband pay and the cashier gave change for a $20 so I immediately said we paid with a $50 and she replied "no you didn't you paid with a $20." She lied two more times as I'm asking her to open the register because I know it was a 50. I said check the cameras as she tries to open the register. Finally she called the manager over who was very professional and explained to the young cashier that you always put the bill on top while you give change. I get that some people do rip restaurants off but we did not! We had to step aside because the manager could not open the register. After two more customers finally one was paying in cash so the register opened and lo and behold there was my 50 dollar bill right on top of the twenties. No apology from the young cashier. The manager apologized but not until she taught the cashier the lesson. Please train your employees on how to handle this situation. Another patron said she had problems with that cashier too. The same person takes your order and then tells you she will ring you up at the register to your left (she said this to everyone after me). I luckily was not the only person who seemed very confused by this. Eventually, someone else rang me up over there, not her. I agree, bagels are very expensive for what they are and I did ask for it not toasted as they seem to do this automatically. it's over four dollars for a bagel with cream cheese. There are also no other options within 20 minutes for bagel shops so I'm guessing that's why people come here. Reviews are accurate and I knew I would just be getting a bagel or a bagel with cream cheese because of all the reviews. This was the right thing to do and I will not be back. Although I love their bagel offerings (great food quality) when I place a mobile order on my way to work it says a time when it will be ready. Historically it's never ready. Today the stated my order would be ready at 7:10am. It was not ready until 7:22 am. That is a huge difference when enroute to work with a commute and rush hour traffic to navigate. We were surprised that Einstein Bagels was very busy on a Sunday late morning ( around 11:30 am). We ordered sevel breakfast sandwiches (Bacon, Avocado & Tomato Egg White Sandwich, Garden Avocado Egg Sandwich, Farmhouse Egg Sandwich, Cheddar Cheese Egg Sandwich, and a Plain bagel with Cream Cheese. I didn't have a problem waiting about 20 minutes for the order. When the order was ready, I asked my wife to check the order. They got my order wrong and forgot the Plain bagel with Cream Cheese. We waited another 10 minutes to fix our order. In general the bagels and sandwichs are tasty. The price point to goods don't fit. I was still hungry after eating. Very cool place. The vibes were on point. Prices seemed a little high at first, until I took the first bite of my bagel sandwich. I got the brisket breakfast sandwich. It was, the best bagel I can recall having and the ingredients were hot and fresh. The staff were kind and I even witnessed them dealing with a "Karen". Walking up, the aroma of freshly made bagels was intoxicating. The store is clean, inviting and well lit. The lobby is very roomy and the staff are open and friendly. I opted for a Turkey Sausage and Egg on an everything bagel. The egg appears real even though it was precisely the same thickness throughout. The turkey sausage was tasty enough and the bagel itself was really fresh and delicious. We are on a roadtrip and rushing a bit, so we didn't have too much time to examine things, but I liked it enough to consider stopping on the way back for another go round. read more

Foods fine - can't really screw up a box of sliced bagels. But the rudest, rudest lady at the register. This is my second time in in two months, ordering a box of bagels, and she can't say a good morning, hello, or even smile. Seems very annoyed that I went to order a box of bagels and I'd like to mix them and I'm not sure which ones I'm going to order yet.. And she makes me yell across the room in the loud restaurant every bagel while she stands at the register 15 feet away. OK! This is not normal for me but today is Mother's Day! You would think when you spend $160 at a place like this you'd be treated with minimum decent customer service but the employees seemed more annoyed than anything to make an order this large. Unable to place a catering order because those are required to be $200 or more. Bought sandwiches to celebrate a birthday and a last day of an employee at work. Placed the order the day before to be ready at 8:15 today. Arrived just before 8:15 just to be told that they just received the order and it would be 30-40 minutes for the order to be done, or they could just refund the order. Seems like the wanted the latter. Cashier also seemed irritated and told us that the reason they just got it was because only catering orders come to them in advance.. Because its a work meal, of course we said we'd wait for the sandwiches. No apology, no offer for maybe a comp on a sandwich or something. Whatever, fine. But what do they do? They make the coffees right away and then proceed to take the full 40+ minutes to make the sandwiches. So the coffees are melted, because they were blended. Did they offer to make new ones? Of course not. I will never be back. There are other businesses in the area that I'm sure would love to have these large orders from my work. Horrible service. Seeing other reviews, its clear the management does not care. Wish I would have read those reviews before placing this latest order. Usually we dont have issues this bad. I highly recommend to management to get a timer on future orders. Something like, for every sandwich ordered it tacks 2 minutes onto the time that a ticket will print before and order is ready with a minimum of 10 minutes, so every order over 5 sandwiches adds more time. ie. A 15 item order (which is what this was) should give a minimum of 30 minutes of time to print for the employees before it tells the customer their order is ready. Its 2026. Get with the automated smart programs like everyone else. read more

In fairness, I am from Southern California. The best bagel, in my opinion, is western bagel off of the 405 in Sepulveda. So in my search for a good bagel since I moved to Oregon 7 years ago I came here. I wasn't thrown off by the wait. Granted I was getting hangry so I was very much looking forward to my breakfast sandwich. The bagel itself was ok a little greasy but it was ok. The egg however was rubbery from being heated in the microwave. I decided to add some smear to help the taste. My husband had the breakfast burrito and said it was quite tasty. I wanted to get a few bagels to take home we will see how they are. We drove here from Salem I am a little disappointed at the la k of selection no plain bagels at all! so we will be trying out a bagel place we heard of in salem. Bacon bacon bacon on the brain...Texas Brisket egg sandwich: bacon with brisket and egg with cheddar and smoky Chipotle aioli on a Jalapeño bacon bagel of course...YUM!!!
