I hate complaining about this place. Usually the service is good. The employees can be grumpy but I don't blame them. Serving the public isn't easy but one particular cashier needs to be called out for blatantly lying and having an extremely rude and unprofessional attitude. My husband and I came in and ordered 2 custom bagel sandwiches, no drink. We paid with a $50. I watched my husband pay and the cashier gave change for a $20 so I immediately said we paid with a $50 and she replied "no you didn't you paid with a $20." She lied two more times as I'm asking her to open the register because I know it was a 50. I said check the cameras as she tries to open the register. Finally she called the manager over who was very professional and explained to the young cashier that you always put the bill on top while you give change. I get that some people do rip restaurants off but we did not! We had to step aside because the manager could not open the register. After two more customers finally one was paying in cash so the register opened and lo and behold there was my 50 dollar bill right on top of the twenties. No apology from the young cashier. The manager apologized but not until she taught the cashier the lesson. Please train your employees on how to handle this situation. Another patron said she had problems with that cashier too. The same person takes your order and then tells you she will ring you up at the register to your left (she said this to everyone after me). I luckily was not the only person who seemed very confused by this. Eventually, someone else rang me up over there, not her. I agree, bagels are very expensive for what they are and I did ask for it not toasted as they seem to do this automatically. it's over four dollars for a bagel with cream cheese. There are also no other options within 20 minutes for bagel shops so I'm guessing that's why people come here. Reviews are accurate and I knew I would just be getting a bagel or a bagel with cream cheese because of all the reviews. This was the right thing to do and I will not be back. Foods fine - can't really screw up a box of sliced bagels. But the rudest, rudest lady at the register. This is my second time in in two months, ordering a box of bagels, and she can't say a good morning, hello, or even smile. Seems very annoyed that I went to order a box of bagels and I'd like to mix them and I'm not sure which ones I'm going to order yet.. And she makes me yell across the room in the loud restaurant every bagel while she stands at the register 15 feet away. OK! This is not normal for me but today is Mother's Day! I went with my father to get my family some bagel sandwiches for the Mother's Day and when we went in we were greeted with bad attitude trying to just get us on our way so the cashier could talk to there friend behind us, being extremely rude, when I asked what kind of sausage or cream cheese is good with a sausage sandwich super basic she replied with I don't know why are you asking me! We were surprised that Einstein Bagels was very busy on a Sunday late morning ( around 11:30 am). We ordered sevel breakfast sandwiches (Bacon, Avocado & Tomato Egg White Sandwich, Garden Avocado Egg Sandwich, Farmhouse Egg Sandwich, Cheddar Cheese Egg Sandwich, and a Plain bagel with Cream Cheese. I didn't have a problem waiting about 20 minutes for the order. When the order was ready, I asked my wife to check the order. They got my order wrong and forgot the Plain bagel with Cream Cheese. We waited another 10 minutes to fix our order. In general the bagels and sandwichs are tasty. The price point to goods don't fit. I was still hungry after eating. I don't think we will be go back to Einstein anytime soon. read more

It was, the best bagel I can recall having and the ingredients were hot and fresh. The staff were kind and I even witnessed them dealing with a "Karen". Walking up, the aroma of freshly made bagels was intoxicating. The store is clean, inviting and well lit. The lobby is very roomy and the staff are open and friendly. I opted for a Turkey Sausage and Egg on an everything bagel. The egg appears real even though it was precisely the same thickness throughout. The turkey sausage was tasty enough and the bagel itself was really fresh and delicious. We are on a roadtrip and rushing a bit, so we didn't have too much time to examine things, but I liked it enough to consider stopping on the way back for another go round. read more

Ordered the bakers dozen and 2 shmear at counter. Not friendly, didn't ask if we wanted bagels cut or tell us how it worked (ie we needed to grab our own shmear). She only put 11 bagels in and no shmear. Thankfully we checked after we walked out. Had to wait in line to get order fixed. read more

I love coming here. Not only are the bagels fresh and delicious but the employees are so warm and helpful. They were out of the gourmet bagel I wanted so they baked me a fresh one. I was in the area doing deliveries, and I had a couple hours to kill. I had brought a book to read and thought it would be nice to have a coffee and a light bite to eat. I didn't know the area very well, so looked on yelp for coffee shops nearby. Einstein Bros. Bagels came up. There wasn't much in the way of vegan food, I opted for an avocado bagel. The only vegan option for milk was almond milk. The guy behind the counter poured some in a paper cup and handed it to me to use the coffee dispenser behind me. I found a table with a hard chair. In fairness, I am from Southern California. The best bagel, in my opinion, is western bagel off of the 405 in Sepulveda. So in my search for a good bagel since I moved to Oregon 7 years ago I came here. I wasn't thrown off by the wait. Granted I was getting hangry so I was very much looking forward to my breakfast sandwich. The bagel itself was ok a little greasy but it was ok. The egg however was rubbery from being heated in the microwave. I decided to add some smear to help the taste. My husband had the breakfast burrito and said it was quite tasty. I wanted to get a few bagels to take home we will see how they are. We drove here from Salem I am a little disappointed at the la k of selection no plain bagels at all! so we will be trying out a bagel place we heard of in salem. Bacon bacon bacon on the brain...Texas Brisket egg sandwich: bacon with brisket and egg with cheddar and smoky Chipotle aioli on a Jalapeño bacon bagel of course...YUM!!! They ask if you want to double up on the eggs in case you're really hungry. I had to get a couple bagels to go too. Wanted to try the bacon cheddar and another bacon jalapeño.
