I was not super impressed with the lox bagel I got but maybe because the only place had a lox bagel is New York. But I would defiantly give this place another try for their sweeter bagels and cream cheese. Staff were fast and kind. The building itself is quite small but we enjoyed sitting outside. We were lucky and got a table but we would have been happy with sitting on the grass too if the table wasn't available.

What a dump, they took 10 minutes to get 2 bagels toasted when I was the only person in the place. They don't Greek customers and make you feel like your interrupting them when you order. The bagel was not toasted but slightly warm. I would not go here because the food is average and the experience is far worse. I came here when first opened, and man the service sucked. Years later it still sucks go anywhere else, I won't be back

    Veg'd out

I'm so glad they put this bagel place in holladay. The other local chains are no good. My favorite item to get: Veg'd out. House-made hummus, arugula, pickled onions, marinated artichoke hearts, tomatoes, salt & pepper, and splash of lemon. Except I replace hummus with scallion cream cheese. Much better. Little on the arugula. Clean. Friendly staff. Can't go wrong. Would be nice to to have an outdoor patio are more the front area more welcoming and relaxing:) Bigger sign is needed. Unless you're really paying attention, you're gonna drive right by it. 5 stars though!

The Bagel Project in SLC is a must-visit for anyone craving a true New York-style bagel. They offer a great selection of classic and unique bagel varieties, as well as the lesser-known but equally delicious bialy, a chewy, flat bread roll with a savory onion and poppy seed filling. The array of house-made spreads is impressive, ranging from plain and scallion cream cheeses to a unique jalapeño jam. We ordered a sesame bagel and a bialy, both of which were perfect--the bagel had a wonderfully crisp exterior and a soft, chewy interior, while the bialy was equally satisfying with its slightly crunchy crust and flavorful, soft center.

Always make a point to stop here whenever in the city. The bagels tend to sell out fast and for good reason. This time I went for the BEC on an everything while my husband got the same but on the Parmesan bialy; easily the best bagel I've ever had. I should've went for that one as well. The food came out fast and super hot, double toasted like we requested. This is a must try in SLC.

Ok bagels. Ambiance: Limited parking lot. Otherwise, it's just street parking. A couple of tables on the inside, but it can get crowded so grab one when you can. You order at the front and pick-up. Service: Friendly and the food comes out quick. I saw a lot of people doing to-go/online orders for pick-up. Food: Got the egg/cheese/bacon on an everything bagel, a trout and about bagel, and a plain salt bagel. Everything was ok. I thought there was more bagel than ingredients for the first one, there was a ton of arugula on the trout one that made it hard to taste the trout, and the salt bagel was a little hard for more liking. Overall, not a bad bagel place but not my favorite either.

The bagels were extremely fresh as we stopped by on the hunt for a good bagel in the area. They helped us quickly and got the food out hot and ready to go. The inside of this place makes for more of a grab and go due to there only being a few tables. Nonetheless, a solid bagel at a decent price in the area. Cheers!

Solid breakfast. Definitely have had better bagels and it is very expensive. The bagel I had could have definitely contained more pesto and ingredients. My girl who got the bacon, egg and cheese seemed like she faired better than me. The everything flavor on the bagel was tasty but the bagel itself could have been a bit softer. It's an extremely small place, only about 4 tables inside and 2-3 tables outside. We stopped on our way to the Hogle Zoo. The staff was very friendly and busy, but they all seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Overall, not the best and not the worst. Solid is the best word I can think of to describe this place.

    Parmesan Bialy BEC

The Parmesan Bialy on a BEC was simply one of the best bagels I've ever had the fortune of experiencing in my entire life. It was gift sent from God himself to the choice soul, self proclaimed bagel-aficionado I am. I miss living so close to here. I even hit this place up for some breakfast with my then-fiancé the morning of our wedding day! A SLC must!

Parking: Only 5 or so parking spots, so you might have to park on the street. Seating: I arrived at 11:30am on a Saturday and there were so many people! There are only two or so tables to sit on, so don't plan on eating here if you're coming on a Saturday as it is quite packed. Bagels: We love bagels and were excited to try this place. We got 1/2 a dozen bagels for home. Sadly the salt one was extremely salty, and the onion sun dried tomato we got was just alright.

We went here for breakfast and it was good, but not the best bagel. Pros: staff was super kind and were quick to reassure that they would take our order. They were busy! The sandwich was good. Bacon was perfectly cooked and the sauce they had in there complimented it well. My mom got the bacon egg and cheese and she said it was good and the egg was cooked well. Con: not really a con...I think I went in thinking I'd get a NY bagel - chewy. It was still a decent bagel.

Bacon, fried egg, and cheddar on an everything bagel

I've had this place on my list for awhile so I finally went to try it this weekend. I ordered the bacon, fried egg, and cheddar bagel sandwich on an everything bagel. The sandwich was great! My order ended up being $10.50. I've been to a lot of bagel places in the past and this price seemed steep to me. The outdoor seating area is nice. The employees are very friendly. I would recommend!

Food was good, not much seating but a good on the go breakfast. Food also came really fast.

My favorite bagel spot in SLC! Fresh, chewy, and delicious every time -- nothing else compares. The trout and truffle is my go to!

The only downside is that the wait can be pretty long, especially during busy hours. One time it was also really smoky inside, not sure if something had burned but, even with that, the food was 100% worth the wait. If you're looking for amazing food and incredible pastries, this spot is definitely worth checking out. Highly recommend!

Your…read moreeyes start stinging the second you walk in, and somehow the smoke follows you through the entire meal. We were quoted a 10-15 minute wait despite there being multiple open tables everywhere, which already set the tone. The person at the front also seemed like greeting guests was a personal inconvenience. Not exactly the warm welcome you'd expect from a place trying this hard to look aesthetic. To make things worse, several pastries sitting in the front display were visibly burnt. Not "artisan charred" -- just burnt. The pastries we ordered were actually good, which makes the rest of the menu even more disappointing. We tried the soft scramble, pork cheek tartine, truffle tartine, and mushroom fettuccine. Everything looked beautiful but tasted either burnt, bland, or both. Every toast item arrived burnt enough that you could taste it in every bite. Our server came by often to refill waters and check on us, but the service somehow still felt oddly impersonal. Since the restaurant wasn't busy at all, it also made us wonder how attentive the service would be during an actual rush. Honestly, this place feels more focused on looking trendy than serving good food. Stick to the pastries if you go -- it's the only thing worth ordering.
