The store was spacious and very clean. It wasn't too busy, but there were a few people already eating and ordering. The cashier was very friendly, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the old man making the drinks seemed to be in a bad mood--slamming drinks down and mumbling so much that multiple customers had to ask if the drinks were theirs. When I finally got mine, it had caramel running all down the side of the cup, which I didn't notice until it ended up all over my shirt. Definitely something that needs improvement.

Service was awesome, super friendly staff very helpful and let me take my time deciding what I wanted to order. Ambiance was nice, clean big open space, was happy to note they also had high chairs for baby. Food was surprise holyyyyy molyyyy gooodness. I'm from New York and honestly this is the closest to New York bagels any Florida restaurant can get. Besides that, my partner enjoyed his all nighter and I loved my garden avocado egg sandwhich.

Bagels are really good. We got the everything bagel ($2.29) and the cheddar jalapeno bagel ($2.29 +.80). Shmear/cream cheese is a $2 add on. We came in the morning and bagels were constantly being refilled and freshly baked since it was busy. I also love that the hot coffee comes with unlimited refills! They had a medium roast, dark roast, flavored coffee and decaf available when I came. Pro tip - sign up for their rewards program and you'll get bonuses (like free coffee) with purchase. The only thing is that they seemed kind of unprepared for the breakfast rush, but were still friendly. Overall, good casual breakfast spot.

    Farmhouse Egg Sandwich

So I don't know if it's just an off day? But we got delivery and I got a bagel and my girlfriend got the farmhouse egg sandwich and we got it delivered. The delivery was quick. The food was awful. The bagel wasn't warm or hot it was cold. Only toasted on one side. The farmhouse egg sandwich, was cold and over salted. The cheese wasn't melted, the cream cheese was more like a loose aioli. The egg on the sandwich was well done. No runny yolk like there used to be. The sandwich seemed smaller than usual. It was just a bad experience. So we are now heating up the food in the air fryer.

    Green eggs.

If green eggs and ham is what I ordered, I't be right on. The eggs are green. The bagel was rubbery and the service was abysmal. The restaurant is dirty. It's really dead I hear. Now I know why.

Another very good bagel Having a bagel sounded good, and it was. I stopped in at Einstein this morning and got their Everything Bagel, toasted, with plain cream cheese. Soft and salty, it was just what I wanted. They now allow eating in and it wasn't at all busy, so I could eat and go rather than go and eat. The staff was fine, got the job done. Looking at their menu board, I saw they offer sandwiches, including something called their Texas Brisket Egg Sandwich that looked really good in the picture. I should try that sometime. I did not see anything about Caribou Coffee, which used to co-exist here. Even though Einstein Bros and Caribou Coffee are owned by the same company, looks like at this location it is just drip coffee now.

I love stopping at Einstein Bagels and Caribou Coffee when I'm in the area. The bagel sandwiches are hearty and tasty. They've always come out warm. The coffee is always fresh and piping hot! My favorite is the self-serve Vanilla Hazelnut. No need to add creamers or sugar. I'm a black coffee drinker so this is a nice flavored treat without all the calories. Shoot, I drive across town on a Saturday to snag some Vanilla Hazelnut coffee. Service is pretty good. It's always busy which is a true testament to their product. The app is very handy to have because you can order ahead for walk in or curbside. Also they're rewards program and promotions always have some sort of offer that I can use. Plus you get a free sandwich for your birthday. The rewards is the smear to my bagel. Makes the trip that much better.

The ambiance was upbeat, warm, and just a really pleasant place to relax. What stood out most was the service--the manager came by several times, always smiling and genuinely making sure we were enjoying everything. That kind of attention goes a long way. The steak was excellent, and my daughter absolutely loved her chicken. Overall, a fantastic experience. Definitely recommend if you're in Sarasota.

Our server Casey was one of the best in the biz - he made the experience so great! We felt like we were besties with him. We shared the shrimp as an appetizer and ate it alarmingly fast. Then for entrees, my darling got the Chicken Milanese (Casey gave the hot tip to do mashed potatoes as a side and that was a crucial and worthwhile decision) and I got two apps as my entree, the Brussels sprouts and the Tuna tataki. The tuna is something I will be thinking about for years to come. We polished it all off by sharing a deliiiiightful key lime pie, a 10/10 choice. All the employees at Libby's are top tier and so kind, and we couldn't stop talking about our dinner here for the rest of our time in Sarasota. Can't wait to come back :)

February 16, 2025 - 4 for lunch…read more We are long time members and this is my first time since all the renovations and work. First time to The Green Orchid. Perfect name! We had friends in from snowy cold NY / LI and this was one of the key stops with them during their stay. The place was pretty packed in season. No outdoor spots and we waited a few minutes for an indoor four top. Service was spectacular. The food was very good as we got a bunch of salads and light food entrees. There were a few cocktails as well for the wives. My salad was a lot of romaine but very spartan on edamame, onion, nuts or anything else. The green dressing was good. Clean as a hospital operating room!! Food was fresh and delightful. All the entrees we had were mid $25 range and with a beer at $8 and mixed drinks at $15 we zoomed up to about $42 per person or $174 for 4 people tax and gratuity. It was surely "tourist" and higher priced for a lunch. I picked up the tab for our guests and with the over 65 restaurants I have reviewed on Main Street and in Sarasota....... I am not sure this was so convenient and easy to be worth the cost/value for what you got? We might even walk the waterfront or head down Lemon or Pineapple and hit Main Street as an option next time? More friends in a few days and a few in March. The "boss" and social director will make the call.!!!

We loved the Millionaire Bacon which was on everything we ordered starting with the Deviled Eggs and then sharing the Cobb Salad and the Bacon and Blue Cheese Burger. But it's definitely a must stop if you are going to be at the gardens anyways.

Inside has 3 rooms; bar area, and two dining rooms. Mediterranean tapas inspired menu- we shared some small plates. The grilled octopus, chicken souvlaki, kefta pita( my favorite) and Moroccan hot honey sliders. Everything was delicious and the drinks complimented the entrees. My Spanish gin and tonic was very different (good) and beautifully prepared. My wife had lemon- lavender tequila and Paloma and both were refreshing. Luis was a terrific server who made some recommendations and knew the menus. A worthwhile find that deserves another visit- especially during happy hours.

They allowed us to enjoy our meal- take our time with drinks and dessert. The Dubai martini was delicious. Same with the espresso martini- smooth and SO good. One of my favs around. The small dirty martini salad was shared by three of us-kale, green olives- loved it. Mushroom Bisque was outstanding. Creamy, rich (but not overly)- and so tasty. Sicilian Pomodoro was also such a wonderful plate. 4 shrimp topped with whipped ricotta and pasta - loved! Shared the Tarta de Santiago for dessert. Light, sweet- love an almonds cake.
