Einstein's was a favorite of mine when I was in college, but i rarely find myself coming here these days. I would call this location and this chain, perfectly average. It's about $4 for an okay bagel and cream cheese. I've had cheaper, bigger and better bagels but it will cover your craving. Roasting a bagel essentially means warming it up here, so specify if you want it adequately done! read more

When we arrived at the given address, we found an empty lot that appeared to the location of a building that had recently been demolished. Came in for bagels with the family this morning and as a added bonus had a free coupon for any egg sandwich for my birthday. While all the sandwiches look great, I was drawn to brisket this morning. All our bagels were quickly prepared and we found a clean table to sit at and enjoy. The store is clean and the employees were friendly. Only drawback for me is the location is a little hard to get to if you aren't familiar with the location. I had not stopped in here for at least 10 years, but my NYC friend made me crave a bagel so I looked them up and discovered they have a decent breakfast selection with things other than bagels. They also make different coffee & fruit drinks. They were not busy Friday morning at 10am & I was able to get in and out in under 5 minutes. I got an Ancient Grains "bagel thin" to cut calories with smoked salmon cream cheese. It was under $4 & tasted fine. I do love smoked salmon cream cheese. You can eat in & there were a few people doing so. Their entrance is wonky, you have to turn in off Rt 19 at the Walmart plaza & cut through the Jiffy Lube parking lot to get to their parking lot. Since I only got one bagel, I can't really offer more stars than 3, but what I had was fine. read more

Hadn't had a good nova on pumpernickel since my wife and I moved here from New York - after today I can say I still haven't. Stingy with the schmear - a crime on its own when you're paying close to $10! Thick slices of rather pungent red onion and 10 to 15 capers. Mine came with tomato after clearly stating "no tomato." At least they had the decency to hide these abominations in a sealed box so we couldn't see what they looked at before we got to our table. Aaaah the ambiance. Just sad. read more

Food was good. I got a Texas Brisket sandwich. They didn't have the type of bagel it was supposed to come on available but the substitute was good. The service was prompt and efficient if not very friendly. The menu seems to have changed a lot from when I ate at other Einstein's years ago. My biggest complaint at this location was the music, it was louder than it should have been and all of it was poppy, dance music. The clientele was all middle aged or older. Seems like a bad choice for the folks that were there. read more

The food is always good here. A day or 2 ago I received a mail promo where if you make any food purchase you get a free travel mug. So having forgotten my lunch today I went and picked up a chicken and artichoke sandwich on an asiago bagel. It was really very good! It was a bit pricey though at $8. The only downside to this place is it is on the small side and is usually crowded at breakfast and lunch times. They deserve zero stars. Ordered specialty bagels online for pickup but also wanted 6 standard bagels. Arrived about 15 minutes after requested pickup time of 1:15. Should not have been a problem. There was only one table with two patrons and three people behind the counter. My companion and I followed the sign about moving to the end of the counter to order. I was looking at the bagel selections. One young, barely-an-adult, blond girl was standing at the other end of the counter, behind it near the cash register. She never acknowledged my presence the entire time I stood there. Another, barely-an-adult young man was boxing a bagel order. A third, older woman was watching him and complaining constantly about a variety of issues. After approximately 5 minutes of waiting (remember I could not just leave because I had prepaid for bagels), I congratulated my companion on how excellent our invisibility serum worked because blondie must be unable to see us to wait on us. She then started stammering that she could assist. I told her I wanted the last 2 pumpernickel bagels, the last 2 cranberry bagels and 2 of the potato bagels. The bin was full of potato bagels. Young boy said the potato bagels were for sandwiches only and could not be sold. At 1:30 in the afternoon, how did the boy seriously expect to sell more than a dozen potato bagels? The bin was not marked as not for sale or sandwiches only. I purchased the 4 other bagels after an argument with blondie about the price of 4 vs 6. She was so clueless she did not even understand that I was pissed. When I arrived home and looked at the bagels, they were inconsistent sizes, some thick, some so thin they could not be cut properly. They were also incredibly dry. I complained to the Einstein's customer service line. They have offered a gift certificate for more crappy bagels. I've been to this Einstein Bros several times and always had a great tasting bagel. I disagree with the reviewers who write that the wait is too long, but I've only ordered a bagel so maybe some of the other breakfast items take longer to prepare. What I really appreciate is the friendly, positive attitude of the employees. The cashier even thanked me for my purchase! Wow! That's a rarity in this day and age. read more

I understand the hours are reduced, but I would think that since they're getting such little business they would still sell me a few bagels. Not sure why there was such a huge line here...probably because the local Chick-fil-a was closed today. The breakfast sandwiches were ok, a little cold and not amazing. We tried their "shmearfuls" which are basically bagel bites with cream cheese- not good at all. They were soft and chewy with funky tasting cream cheese. We got all 6 flavors and every one was a miss. They do have a large variety of coffee drinks and bagels. I think if you're in the mood for like a dozen interesting bagels, this might be the spot for you. Other than that, stay home and eat cereal. read more

I stopped in for lunch last week. I decided on a honey wheat bagel. Initially I only wanted wheat, but they don't have an only wheat bagel (???) Maybe they were out since I went at 1pm.. who knows. I ordered my bagel toasted with honey walnut cream cheese. That is all I ordered and my total came to almost $4. Outrageous. I'll skip. I can get a good lunch somewhere for just $2 more. read more

Service is okay, when asked for suggestions you don't get much of an answer. My favorite here is chorizo sandwich. They are generous with the cream cheese spread. Favorite thing is to get a ice coffee ( I would skip the specialty drinks here) with chorizo sandwich and sit outside on warm summer day. read more

Took our baby girl to the Dr office stop here on our way home. This is probably our favorite stop as far as quick breakfast stops go we always stop at the one in McMurray but our house. I stopped in with my boyfriend for a quick bite to eat and a cup of coffee before heading to Walmart. Even though Einstein Bros is right off of 19, it's a maze to get to it. It probably stays in business because it's right next to a Jiffy Lube, NOT because anyone actually wants to go there. The whole experience was terrible. The guy who took our order was screaming at us and seemed very hard of hearing and angry about it. Everything we said had to be repeated several times and screamed as well. He didn't know what was on the menu - when we ordered and were reading right off the menu, it was like he had never heard of any of the menu items. He also sliced the bagels into a 7/8-1/8 split - not in half. The coffee was water. Period. We asked for and received a refund on the coffee. It seemed like the cashier was pretty used to refunding coffees, but she gave incorrect change. Finally, the whole store was dirty. There was actually dirt, grime and trash everywhere, including in the silverware containers. All of the silverware that was out had a visible coating or grease/grime on it and there was trash (wrappers and sugar packets) inside the containers. I had to ask for a clean spoon, and when I did, the employees complained about me right in front of my face. I will definitely not return. read more

It was your normal Einstein's store the bagels aren't really high priced and there really good. I like the cinnamon apple it's a little more but it's worth it. I always think the smear is a little pricey but if you sign up for there bagel club they will email you some good deals. read more

Many years ago we were regulars but stopped going due to a number of factors including price to quality ratio and inconsistent service. We recently received some coupons so we thought we'd give it another try. The line was long, the service felt slow in relation to other places, bagels are fairly priced, but my son got a special bagel with cream cheese, honey, and granola and strawberries - that we got free with coupon but is priced at $3.99. Paid a random visit here. Shocked first of all that with most every table and booth free of patrons that the floor was DISGUSTING. FULL of food remnants and wrappers left by careless customers but secondly by a care-even-less crew. My sandwich was prepared with hardly appetizing MOLDY lettuce that I twice had to ask at the register for replacement. Marginal the third time. They claimed it was the freshest they had. Checkout person was treating me with "if I don't acknowledge you the problem doesn't exist". I politely explained that you just can't serve moldy product. I would hate to see the walk-in refrigerator. *shudder* I will not return until better consustent ratings given at this location. Dirty, care-less and spoiled produce - what's not to like. TERRIBLE. And racist staff. My fiancé and I went in there to get breakfast and from the second we walked in we got dirty looks and bad attitude from the entire staff. We waited over 20 minutes for our food and never got it. They served at least four other people that came after us and never brought us our food out. When we approached them about it all we got was a meager "Oh sorry" and more dirty looks from the staff. They refunded our card but still NEVER brought us our food. My fiancé went back in to get a managers phone number and the same person (manager Devon Nelson) that acknowledged they forgot our food then changed his story and said he called our name when the food was ready and we never came up and got it. My fiancé and I heard every name they called and they never called our name or brought our food out. NEVER going to any Einstein brothers again. Racist and ignorant. Just left here and i wsnted to write this before i forgot, especially since this was the worst experience ever. I waited forever for my toasted bagel. I was standing at the register waiting. I could see my bag sitting there, but couldn't reach it. Two employees walk past me, but don't ask if I need help. There are at least three other employees working, but you wouldn't know it. Right when three customers walk in they hustled to the back. They were having a hilarious discussion, which I gather from all the laughing I can hear! I was happy to see they have EBB in Pittsburgh as well. The line moves quickly and they have a smorgasbord of different bagels, and equally as many shmears. They have a nice atmosphere and this was a great place to come and get some work done. The nova lox was wonderful. read more
