Manny is a godsend. A little background. We bought a smallish 110 yo house in June this year. Old pipes, old floors, old electricity, old building. We needed a lot of help from a variety of tradesfolk. In dealing with them, we quickly came to recognize decent, hard working folk. Manny is one of them. Manny came out on the day we called. He spent a good hour looking at our plumbing, asking lots of smart questions, and offering tips as we walked through, on better ways (than we had originally thought) to do things. It doesn't sound like much, but, when you deal with others who just grunt and do the necessary work, it's nice to have someone who you can rely on to show you clever ways to either save money or just do it a better way based on industry/knowledge insight. He listed-in detail-work to be done and costs, allowing us to make informed decisions. He has a small team of bright, smart, well trained people that he can rely on, and oversees them ensuring the work is to code, done in time, and thoroughly quality tested before completion. I couldn't recommend EJ Plumbing more. If you're looking for a professional, fast acting, hard working and reasonably priced plumber, really, look no further. Oh, and unexpectedly, when the work was done, and we went to write a check, he gave us a suprise gift; a $500 discount. That's a lot when you have much work going on--and are budgeting every cent. Also, have to add this: A nice little feel good moment. We have two little people who were at the time hovering around, unsure what to do, Manny quickly brought them in, and got our little girl to "connect" our washing machine's hot and cold water. Telling her she'd just saved her parents tons of money. He didn't have to do that, but let me tell you, she felt fantastic and important for the next month. First off, my technician Miguel was awesome. He was very knowledgeable, explained everything clearly, and I would have been happy to have him do the job. The problem was that the scheduling was so badly handled that he was unable to do the work. I have been using EJ Plumbing for years, and have been happy in the past. However this experience was unacceptable. I was given an arrival window between 8 am and noon for a technician to come replace two bathroom faucets, and at least one of the four angle brackets (water turnoff) underneath, which was not working. I asked for all of the angle brackets to be inspected and possibly replaced as well. One faucet was actively leaking. I told this to the office, so they knew what kind of job it would be, and should have had some idea of how long it would take. At noon, there was no sign of the technician, and there had been no update that he would be late. I called the office and my arrival window was then moved to 12-2 pm. At 1:30, Miguel arrived, scoped out the work, and realized that he wouldn't be able to do the job and still accomplish the additional appointments that he was scheduled to do this afternoon. He called in to see if someone else could take those jobs so he could finish mine. The answer was no. He did offer to replace one angle bracket to stop the leak, but by now one of the other brackets was leaking too, so I decided I would prefer to do everything at once. I find it annoying that I was scheduled for one of the first appointments of the day (gauging from the 8-12 window), then I waited 6 hours with no communication about the delays, and finally the job was not even done because later jobs were given priority over mine. I'm looking for a new plumbing company. read more

This is the fifth time I've used EJ Plumbing and I'm finally writing a review after they completed a trenchless sewer line replacement recently. Prior to the sewer line replacement they have come out for a water heater replacement, two drain cleanings, and a visit to discover a leak in our sprinkler system. Needless to say, I was very happy with their previous visits and when it came to this big project, they were a no-brainer for me. I've been having some problems with my drain backing up and EJ finally did a video line inspection which showed that I had several roots that made their way into the sewer line (older clay pipes) and my backups were going to get worse unless I replaced this line. I was hesitant to do this since of the higher cost of the job compared to a simple drain cleaning but the line would have to be replaced eventually so I bit the bullet and went ahead with it. Long story short, they showed up on time, even worked in the rain, and they were done two hours ahead of schedule! One huge plus for trenchless line replacements is that they don't have to dig the entire length of the line, just where it starts and ends. :) The technicians were very well organized and they left the law in the same condition they found it. Pretty amazing considering how much work they did in tearing up the lawn. My wife came back after the job was completed and she couldn't believe they actually did the work. :) read more

I WOULD ABSOLUTELY RECOMMEND EJ PLUMBING! My wife and I decided to replace two ten-year-old water heaters proactively. I called around to several companies and got estimates that varied in cost and thoroughness. Some companies were more than willing to throw out a rock bottom number over the phone without understanding the specifics of the installation. I worried that their estimates would climb once I engaged with them and it was too late to change vendors. My daughter and neighbor referred me to EJ Plumbing. EJ's asked to visit my home, look at the application and got me on the schedule for the next day. Steven, who my daughter recommended, came out the next day, patiently answered our questions and provided us a detailed and easy to understand estimate. He asked if there was anything else he could help us, and my wife mentioned that our water pressure had been low as of late. Steven asked us to point him toward the main shut off valve. It turned out an earlier plumber from another company had failed to turn the pressure all the way back on. Problem solved. No charge. EJ's prices were fair, but not rock bottom. We decided after having a number of bad experiences with the cheapest plumbers, to go with EJ's and we were glad we did. The work was done on time and as promised. I could not be happier with the HUGE job EJ Plumbing did for me. My slow shower drain turned out to be caused by disintegrated plumbing under my 70-year old house (tree roots came up when they snaked the drain, ugh). Jonathan was extremely helpful in diagnosing it, and supervisor Ryan Kennedy came right away to work out potential solutions to a very extensive and expensive problem. Ryan and Jonathan used a camera with a tracker to trace the issue through the lines. No perfect options with rotting plumbing under a slab. They listened to my priorities and we agreed on the best, least invasive solution. They came out promptly to start the job - a whole team digging through my brick walkway and front yard to replace the outdoor line, followed by cutting into my drywall to spray an epoxy liner through my indoor lines. They were extremely careful, hardworking and professional. Best of all, they took such incredible care putting everything back, including my yard, drywall and checkerboard brick walkway. Above and beyond!!! I am so impressed. Very very happy with EJ's honesty, reliability, professionalism, skill and even artistry. I had used them before for a small, simple job but this was a huge, difficult effort and I could not be more pleased. Outstanding as always. I was thrilled to learn the addition of electrical services to your business profile. The best compliment I can give is that if my son or daughter procured employment with EJ services I'd be very happ The quote for the fan installation and one outlet repair was too expensive for my budget. I was able to find an electrician for 300. That's 150 difference. Price increases in this area are a problem for everyone and I understand you need to pay your employers competitive wages AND turn a profit to stay in business. I've used your services for over a decade and it's been outstanding. The employees you have hired are not only professional but friendly and honest. I always ask how you treat them and each ones answer has been the same- with respect , honestly, fairly. That is why i will always recommend you and call you first for estimates. One more thing - your Communication is above and beyond- where many companies will not allow employees to reach out directly to customers. The leway to send text and call and receive them with enroute techs is ideal as I can time putting the dogs away and making sure I'm there at the moment techs arrive. I hope this is helpful. EJ Plumbing sets the standard for service and professionalism, from the moment you call to set up an appt to job completion. I needed a sewer lateral video done as part of a public works inspection report for our remodel project. Daniel called ahead to let me know he was on his way. When he arrived, he took his time to read the reports requirements from the city and thoroughly explained everything he was going to do. It took him a while to find the sewer access because it was covered by landscaping (requiring him to get on the roof), but he did it without hesitation. Once he found the access point, the video report was completed without any problems. The report was detailed and thorough. What I really appreciate about EJ and their team is the attention to detail and thoroughness of their work. During the job, Daniel had some difficulty removing the cap to the access point because it was so old and hadn't been unscrewed in years. I would need a new one. Daniel told me what kind to get and where I could get one nearby. Much to my pleasant surprise, Daniel came back after he first left with a replacement cap. He went on his own to the nearby hardware store to pick one up for me. Now that's fantastic service! No one can beat these guys--they are first class all the way. read more

I had a blocked kitchen drain. I've owned my home for decades and am very familiar with my plumbing layout. I had checked the trap, it was clear. I checked the outdoor clean out it was clear. I used a toilet plunger that didn't do a thing as it would push water out only to come back up the drain so it had to be beyond the vent. So I knew the blockage was in the wall beyond the trap and the vent, but before the main sewer pipe. I was referred to EJ Plumbing by a my usual plumber as they were booked solid and couldn't come for several days. EJ Plumbing was able to come in 36 hours. My technician was Samuel Delgado. He was great!!! He sent a text that he was on his way and showed up a few minutes later. He showed up wearing a mask and gloves and put on shoe coverings when he entered the house. I explained the problem. I was impressed that he listened to me and realized after a couple inspections, that I knew what I was talking about. That is not always the case with other plumbers when talking to a female homeowner. Using a snake, he cleared the drain in about 5 minutes. He wiped down and cleaned the area when he finished. Great plumbers. Had a pipe burst on the hot water supply under the kitchen sink late Tuesday, and shut off all water to house. EJ's Jose and Alexandro arrived first thing next morning and quickly replaced the galvanized pipe with a copper pipe to match the rest of the system. If you have copper under the house, but the up-pipe is galvanized, it is a matter of time before a pipe burst. EJ's was quick, very professional and skilled! I have them coming back next week to replace ALL my galvanized up-pipes to all the faucets, washing machine, toilets and bath/shower; and replace ALL of the 60-year old cast iron sewer lines because they are starting to leak, and a pipe burst there would be a hazmat cleanup bill. ALL IN ONE DAY. This company is family owned and takes care of their employees. They are just large enough to be able to have 8-10 guys replacing all sewer (re-pipe) and replacing 60 year old galvanized pipe in ONE DAY. Cost was competitive. Repiping sewer was $8,300. I had a very pleasant experience working with EJ Plumbing for my water heater repair. Got a rusted nipple that connects to the water pipe on top of the tank. The rust got worse over time and I decided to call for a service. Called one plumbing service, and was told that the entire tank would need to be replaced due to the broken part with $3k+ quote for a full replacement. Then I checked with EJ Plumbing. They were very responsive, messaged me right away after I submit my service request. They told me that it looks repairable, gave me a quick explanation with a reasonable quote, and agreed to send someone in the next morning. Samuel served me the next morning. He is a very professional technician. Sam explained clearly what was the problem, what it would take to get it fixed, and what different repair options that I can choose. The job was done timely and professionally, which solved my problems and saved me 3k+ dollars. Samuel was also patient in answering my questions. He told me that the water heater was recently installed (by the previous home owner apparently) in 2018, and it is still within the manufacture warranty! Extremely disappointed with EJ Home Services after today. I scheduled an appointment for electrical repair last Monday (5/11/26) for today (5/17/26 - earliest day they had available). They told me that the window would be between 12pm-5pm. Texted me to confirm the appointment yesterday (5/17) to which I did. They texted me this morning to confirm that the appointment was on as scheduled for 12pm-5pm and would update me periodically throughout the day. I had rearranged work schedules as well as made arrangements for picking up my kids from school because of the time frame. I texted back to get an ETA at 12:51pm. Got a response at 1:31pm saying that the appointment is still on schedule for today but they did not give me an ETA. They then call me at 3pm telling me that the electrician was not going to make it out. They then offered to come tomorrow. Well I already rearranged my schedule for one day so the next day wasn't going to work. What was their only other option? CANCEL THE JOB ALL TOGETHER!?! What a shame. I've referred this company to others, including my parents. Plenty of other electricians out there. Not dealing with this type of customer service again.. read more

Hands down these guys are absolutely superb at their trade. Luis and Manny are smart, try to accommodate your schedule as best as possible, efficient at going about the job, and easy people to deal with. They should charge top dollar, but they don't. I have used 4 or 5 different plumbing companies over the last 35 years and found EJ about 4 years ago when I had a serious sewer backup ie. totally blocked and raining outside so that going onto the roof to try to clear it from the vent above the toilet was out of the question. They were very aware of my plight, installed a tie out the next morning, cleared the backup by pulling out a bucket full of roots, and put a camera down the sewer to look at the cause for the problem. Since nature ALWAYS wins, I wanted to have them spin a blade down the sewer just to prevent a blockage at time when you least want it. Luis spun a blade down the sewer and Manny scoped out the line with his camera. They coached me on how to avoid a sewer replacement job. I will always call EJ Pluming in the future if I have any pluming issue. My tenant called when I was driving on freeway and my wife picked up the phone. She told us that there is a bad smell from the kitchen sinker. She then found EJ Pluming from Yelp. They sent their technician quickly to investigate the problem. It was a extremely hot day with temperature above 100. But they went down the crawl space and found the root cause: the sewerage pipe was broken. They provided 3 options for me and explained in detail on the pros and cons of each option, in both short term and long term. After I chose an option, they worked on it right away in such a hot weather. They cleaned the area, replaced the sewerage pipeline, and recovered the living condition. In such a hot weather, . Both my tenant and I are very satisfied with their professional work! They also checked all the pipes in the crawl space for us, and explained what I should pay attention in the future, without extra charge. They are really professional and supper nice! I had 2 experiences with EJ Plumbing in the span of 1 week. I found them on Google with a high rating and booked online. Someone called me back to confirm the details of my request (backed up kitchen sink) and we confirmed the appointment. Isaac and Sam were my technicians and they quickly assessed the situation and confirmed my quote. They spent over an hour trying to unclog my sink - and in the process uncovered a larger issue... I had a cracked pipe under my house that was leaking water! They even went under my house to take pictures and a video to show me the damage. They recommended that we fix the section of pipe that was old and cracked and gave me a quote on site. They did fix the block in the kitchen sink, but advised that the issue would come back due to a few issues that they could remedy when they fixed the broken pipe. The next week, Isaac and Sam came back to my house and went to work fixing the pipe. They were quick, efficient, and very professional.
