I have been seeing Dr. G for a few years for reoccurring knee issues. I was sad in 2012 when I had to switch him out because I had to be seen quickly and I didn't want to fit him in. His back up doc was a great replacement but Dr. G has the best bedside manner and has been painfully truthfully with my diagnosis and how I can get better. Now I insist to only see him. He'll fit me in therefore I should be able to fit him into my schedule as well. I've seen him a few times already in 2013 and honestly feel so much better knowing that I'm getting the best possible care. He's honest and kind and speaks to me as if we're on the same level, as if! He's the best. If you need anyone to care for your ortho needs, Dr. G is the way to go.

I first started seeing her when I had a real job with my own insurance and she has taken care of colds as well as the female stuff. I am the kind of person that wants my doctor to be no-nonsense and just cut to the chase with me - I've had a lot of serious health issues and I just don't want to sugar coat things. She knows this and gets right to it without any touchy-feely stuff, but I get the sense that she is totally compassionate and sensitive to patients who need that experience. I've never felt that she is cold, just professional, in other words! The only thing I wish that was better was trying to get a prescription for medication now and then - I went in for migraines a long time back and instead of a prescription, I had to keep a food diary - coming back six months later I just asked for the medication my friend let me try and got the script, but I was suffering that whole time. And every year when I have a cold, everyone else can get the Z-Pack but I have to let the thing run its course. I get that it is really for my own good not to take too many antibiotics, but try telling that to me when I am miserable and working 10 hour days!! A small price to pay for her wonderful and fast care! (And I especially love that she will call personally and leave test results on your voicemail if you authorize it!)

Last year I (like many Americans) went through an extended period of unemployment and no health insurance. I couldn't see her for awhile. When I became gainfully employed and fully insured again (yay!) the first thing I did was looked her up in the "book" for the HMO insurance plan I selected to make sure she could remain my PCP. Keep in mind, again, that she's already been my physician for going on 10 years. I was so loyal to her that, if she hadn't been listed in the plan I selected, I was prepared to choose another one where she was. I was pleased that Dr. Phan was listed in the plan I selected, and I called her office right away to make an appointment and get re-established. I arrive a week later or so for my appointment only to be told that Dr. Phan would not see me because she was not part of my insurance plan. Huh? But she's listed in my plan, I protested -- in the book and on the website. And furthermore, why didn't I receive a call telling me this before I actually came to the office. Dr. Phan's front-desk "gatekeeper" claimed that they've been trying to have her removed from my plan's "book" for several years. I, frankly, don't believe that. Not only is she listed in the book, she's listed on the website. It cannot be THAT difficult to remove. And further, I was asked the specifics of my insurance plan was when I made the appointment -- if Dr. Phan wasn't part of it, why not tell me then? Although I've had the same cell number for 6 of the almost 10 years that Dr. Phan was my PCP, and that number is listed as my primary number, her office called my home landline about an hour before the appointment to "cancel" it. How many people listen to their landline voicemail with any frequency? And why the office never called my cell number remains a mystery. I asked if Dr. Phan would see me anyway -- again, I hadn't been to the doctor in at least 9 mos. and I figured, after all of our history together, we could find a way to sort it out. No such luck. Front desk chick told me "Sorry, bye." So that's that. Never got any kind of follow up phone call or anything from Dr. Phan or her office. I felt silly for thinking that having had a longstanding history with her meant something. In the end, it did not. It's all about the "plan" and the profits.

I have also seen another therapist in the practice, Patrick, who was equally as nice. Erika has talked me through something called, Dry Needling. They talk to me as if I'm a child and give snarky, sarcastic replies to legitimate questions I ask. It's uncalled for and completely unnecessary when it would take the same amount of effort to interact with patients in a more welcoming tone. Also, some constructive criticism for the staff: please don't teeter on the side of religiously based advice. I've had a few uncomfortable conversations because of the old-fashioned lifestyle the doctors want to push onto their patients. Personal beliefs should remain in a personal environment, not in a work place :) I can't get over the ingenuity of turning a residential home into a beautifully designed, modern little doctor's clinic. Maybe it's just my obsession with well designed spaces, but the 1-2 hour wait suddenly seems a little shorter in a place this cute. It's been a couple years since my surgery and if I knew then what I know now I would've never done…read moremy surgery with Dr. Laich. He did my spinal fusion in two parts which kept me out of commission for many many months. I'm honestly not sure if I even needed it. All my original symptoms are still there but what's worse is I now have peripheral neuropathy in my foot that's never resolved, only worsened, making it difficult to impossible to walk on some days. But what's worse is that he completely checked out after my second surgery. No follow up, no answers, no returned phone calls. My pt tried getting instruction from him over and over and he never called her back. So my after care was a mess. Dr. Laich, I'm sorry they fired your assistant after you guys got married, but you still had a job to do. And I really wish he hadn't told me he took his own samples of Lyrica and rode his motorcycle to work. Really put me off.

I started here in July. I just quit yesterday. I have yet to even have a follow up visit. They…read morerecommend you 5-6 weeks for a follow up visit so they can absorb the material about your case. Very fair. Then it turned out that I needed to gather all of my chart information myself, bc it would be too expensive for them to have a way to view my charts electronically. Very fair, trying to keep costs down. Inconvenient, but fair. Then they could not help me because they wanted my doctor's actual words. I could not provide those, so we were at a standstill. I had pain, they referred me to a doctor who knew more about gyn health. Not a gyn, just someone who knew more - Dr. Jeff was not comfortable with gyn health. I went to her beginning of October I paid her, I waited, no prescription. I texted can Dr. Jeff prescribe? More than a week is a long time to be in pain AFTER the appointment. Dr. Jeff got her to respond. December I need to the same prescription and he had more than 3 months to consult with her and "learn how to prescribe". But could I please just consult with her, and NEXT time he will "learn how to prescribe". He kept saying if I wanted he would prescribe, but every time I asked, he would not. I had figured, I will remain because at least they could prescribe for me without a big fuss, even if he can not actually treat me or help me. Joke is on me, I am still in pain today, will probably end up having to wait 4 weeks in pain until she can see me. If you just want to get the odd strep test, or consult by text about the flu, I assume that would work, I have no experience getting much out of Dr. Jeff. He is very nice, and he is available sometimes on the app, a few hours or days after messages. I paid for 7 months, and got one "checkup", with zero conclusions about what I can do about my problems, and one prescription for one longstanding med out of it. I had zero follow up from him. If you are really healthy and have lots of patience, and no need to transfer any of your records, this is a nice enough place. I still have chest pain and gyn pain, but if you come in healthy you should be happy here.
