This is a great place for breakfast or lunch. We went for breakfast which was delicious. They bread was homemade (we got sourdough that was so good we bought a loaf to take home) and the jams were also homemade so those were the highlight? I got the skillet breakfast which I really enjoyed. The building is a historic log building (tall guys have to duck other crossbeams!). The service was excellent. Worth a diversion off the highway!

Great little spot in for some good food in Clinton. The interior of the restaurant is old west style with animal trophy heads on the walls. It is clean, and small, with few tables. I had the ribs special and hubby had the prime rib special. The ribs were fall off the bone good, but I wasn't crazy about the citrus flavored sauce. I prefer more of a smoky barbecue flavor. The prime rib was very good. The meals came with their salad bar. The offerings change up daily and there was a fairly good selection. The huckleberry pie a la mode was so good, and that is bringing us back to the spot tonight (also the burgers looked amazing). If you are in the area or just passing through you should stop. **We didn't have reservations on a Saturday night and they got us in, but I would recommend reservations as they were pretty booked up.

Best breakfast I've had in a very long time.

Hands down the best chicken fried steak with sausage gravy! Everything we had was incredible...side pork, biscuits, ham, coffee! Ambiance is quaint. The people are the sweetest, too! No line to get it but I don't know if why...it's a winner on all fronts!

I absolutely love this restaurant. I was fishing on Rock Creek and decided to try it out. It was fantastic. They give you very large portions. The first time I went I have the crispy chicken salad and it was phenomenal! For dessert, I have their famous rhubarb pie. I also bought a tray of homemade cinnamon rolls. They were the best I have ever had! Everything was delicious! I went again a couple days later for a burger and a beer. It was even better the second day!! I had to get some more cinnamon rolls too! All of the desserts/ breads are reasonably priced!

Found this hidden gem by accident. Breakfast was excellent and our food server was a hoot. Everything homemade here and no prefab junk on your plate. Grandma is in the kitchen here so expect an awesome country breakfast.

We moved here in June and landed at Ekstrom's while we looked for a permanent residence in Missoula. Which ended up being more of a challenge than we expected. The place closed for the season on October 2nd. The owners were gracious enough to let us stay for another month while we continued our house hunt. We really enjoyed our stay here. It was peaceful and quiet, with an awesome restaurant on the premises. We would recommend this park to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

We had dinner here last nightI had the large salad bar which appears to be all home cooking. It maybe includes about 20 different items including soup and fruit dishes although I imagine it is different every night. My wife had a ribeye steak. She said it was large and above Average. I would give the food a 3+ or a 4-. However we enjoyed the whole experience because of the old cabin, interesting decor but mostly because Emily the waitress was really wonderful.

85% lean beef burger with pepper jack cheese and a side salad. Quality soft toasted bin and delicious house Italian dressing.

By 7 pm there was barely any lines .....the first surge comes early for lawn seats We had the Nashville chicken and it was good It's all premade so it arrives seconds after ordering The view is pretty ... you can't really see the river It was a perfect 75°- 80°. The venue is five stars The BAD part....we went to see SYMPHONY ON THE RIVER MISSOULA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA PRESENTS THE MUSIC OF ELTON JOHN The sound was horrible. There was some sort of LOUD constant hum... we think it was the singers band, and too loud bass. The sound system was one Star When the piano singer sang with just the symphony it was incredible But that was one song. The rest of the time you couldn't even hear the symphony or the singer. Just that loud bass. I had to plug my ears We left at intermission We drove from Stevensville

The venue was absolutely stunning and it was the perfect place to see Vampire Weekend. I saw a lot of people complaining about the way the venue handled people coming in and out but we had a great experience. We took the bus (which is FREE) to the venue and got dropped off not too far from the venue. Got there about 15 minutes before doors opened and the lines were short. On the way back we took an Uber back to our Airbnb. I highly recommend PLANNING before blaming the venue.

They carry everything from accessible staples like Buffalo Trace and WhistlePig 10, to rare finds like Weller Full Proof and Octomore 13.3. They even have three single malts from the Game of Thrones collection. Solid pours that are affordable and enjoyable. The owner clearly curates with care. He knows what he is doing. The beer list is just as impressive. You can grab a PBR if that is your pace, or you can work through a rotating selection of craft beers. They have Delirium Tremens on draft, which you almost never see. A wide range of local Montana brews too. There is something for everyone, and nothing feels like an afterthought. The staff actually remembers you. The owner has built something that feels more like a community than a business. Even on a bad day, you are treated with dignity here. That is rare. If you are looking for a place with soul, a curated selection, and a staff that cares, this is it.

There is plenty of seating throughout, so even with a big crowd, it does not feel overly cramped. The menu is a little on the smaller side, but there seems to be enough variety that I would imagine there is something for everyone. I got the ginger pork lettuce wraps and they were really good! They were pretty difficult to actually assemble, so I eventually gave up and ate everything more like a salad. The pork was absolutely delicious, though, and easily the highlight of the dish. Service was a little spotty, although we were a very large group, so I am sure that made things more difficult. Drinks were frequently missed or came out incorrectly, and our server had to reconfirm some orders multiple times. That said, they were incredibly nice and friendly throughout, which definitely helped. Overall, Top Hat Lounge is a great place to hang out, especially if you want a lot of space, a fun atmosphere, and live music. The service could have been smoother, but I would definitely come back.
