Molcajete a la Mexicana. This is where it's at. Nothing on the menu compares. I've tried other items and I don't think the food is that tasty. Rice and beans are super flavorless and dry! The ONLY thing worth getting is the molcajete. The shrimp one is good too. The meat is cooked well but the thing about the molcajete is the sauce!!! It's delicious!!! That's what the four stars is for! They serve a coctel in a coco which was also nice and fresh. The live music gets over poweringly loud and the drag show is annoying after a couple songs. My review is SOLELY based on their customer service. Four of us went last Sunday, around 8pm. Restaurant was Not busy at all. However, it seemed impossible for us to get what we asked for, refills, sauces, etc. Waitress never brought back items, unless we reminded. However, she did seem busy... busy chatting away with the person at the register. The Chisme must have been really good, at one point one waived her down to get her attention. When it came time to pay, one person in the group left her a nice tip on the table even though there was a COMPLETE lack of service. It wasn't until days later, that we realized the restaurant had added on our receipt a very Generous tip.... A very nice tip, to a very MEDIOCRE service on a party of FOUR people. I may be wrong but NEVER have I seen a gratuity added to a bill on such a small party. Beware, really revise your receipt before paying, I wish we would have so we could have let them know how DISPLEASED we were with her service. My father tells me the Sunday Brunch is really good, but we went on a Saturday around 4pm, the lunch crowd was gone and dinner crowd was yet to come. Very friendly staff, plenty of parking. I had their fish ceviche (order). And it was massive, they accompany the dish with 5 tostadas-big enough to share between three people. The price was right at $16.99, i just wish i would've gotten a few more slices of avocado to go with the order. Horrible they should call their shirm fajitas plate bell peppers and onions plate fajitas. Took for ever to serve bagre no flavor at all same with the shirm fajitas. It's Mother's Day and you guys ruined my day. We came in expecting the buffet and there was no buffet. Whatever we let it go. Right off the bat the waitress was being so rude. Finally our plate comes and it's the wrong order and the waitress starts arguing that we ordered the Mexican molcajete. I know what I ordered please do not tel me otherwise because you fucked up. So she rolls her eyes at me and leaves. At this point I've had it. I'm not about to have my day be ruined by some bitter ass waitress that lets guys touch her ass. Btw this really happened in front of us while we were trying to order and she was completely okay with this. I had to pay for that drink order that they fucked up and left. I used to be a loyal customer of this place till recently. I went there for mothers day( a saturday) with a party of 4. When we were done eating i had left my iPad on the table. once i got home i realized that i had left it and called them. They said they their employees had not seen one. I went the next day in the morning to speak with the manager so he could check the cameras, but he was not going to be in till later. i left a polite note and asked him to please check the cameras. I had no contact with him on that day(Sunday). I then called the following morning at 12pm, they told me the manager would not get there till 3pm. i called at 3pm and he was not there. it was not till after 4pm that he arrived and when i spoked with him on the phone, he said that there cameras did not work and that he shouldn't even be telling me this. He said "your personal property is not our responsibility", in a rude manner. I politely said thank you. I understand that my ipad was not his responsibility but i was taken from the restaurant, he could of been more nice with me and not have been so quick to cut me off.I went to the police station two days after to file the police report. The police told me that there cameras in fact do work and they will notify me after the review the tapes. I use to frequent this spot, but the environment is super uncomfortable. I walked in with an associate for some seafood and a beer and was treated very poorly by staff. I was embarrassed during a business meeting. The waitress and manager went out of their way to make the experience uncomfortable and had a prejudice. I came here with my family and it was OVERLY LOUD. I get that mariachi's are singing and music is playing but when you can't even hear the person sitting right next to you that's a problem. Of course we had to show ID's but after 20 minutes of drinking our beer the waitress came back and asked for ID's again. This restaurant is a good place to go if you don't mind lots of noise and people. Their taco Tuesday deals are amazing. $1 beer and really good tacos! Just wanted to drop a small review on this place, being in the location of where i was raised i thought I'd show some love. After having a long weekend of partying in bringing in the new year, i ordered the flauta and asada taco combo, it was delicious and also my bloody Mary was awesomeness, like i said after that LONG party weekend it was just the place to go.
