5/22/2022 A late lunch and always passing by.. This time I actually stopped. Inside is large and colorful.. Several customers eating and service was quick. Great server, who also knows every detail of the menu.. Lots of menu items and the best part is lunch price is 7 days a week! Prices are very reasonable! Chips were a mixture of corn and flour served along with salsa and cabbage slaw .. Ordered the number 8: I got the carne asada street taco with a pork tamale $8.98 Also one order of a chicken chimichanga.. Totally worth the price and food was very good.. I'll be stopping more often!

This place is still my go to Mexican restaurant when traveling through Minden! Love the fresh flavor, Margaritas as well as their top notch service. If you find yourself on US 395 traveling through, stop by and give them a try!

My favorite Mexican restaurant! Food is freshly made and the service is outstanding! Their chips and salsa are made daily, along with their mole sauce which is the best I've ever had, and I appreciate their beans not coming from a can but made fresh as well. My go to dishes are: Shredded beef mole enchiladas, Chicken mole, grilled chicken tacos, fajitas, or their carnitas. I appreciate that the grease in the carnitas is rinsed off/removed before being served. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

This young man was the best. We were brought chips and salsa, and we also requested the extra spicy for the Hubby. The mild was perfect for me. The chips were nice and crunchy with a great corn flavor. We did order a sangria for me and a margarita for the hubby. They have a really nice lunch menu with great prices and a very extensive regular menu. I ordered the #6 off the lunch menu. A chili relleno with the sauce on the side and a crispy ground beef taco. The rice was so good, great flavor as well as the refried beans. 5 stars for each of these. The taco was so full of meat (ground beef) and fresh veggies. The chilli relleno was huge and perfectly cooked. I get my sauce on the side so leftovers will not get soggy. Now this sauce was like a ranchero sauce, looked like onions, celery and maybe tomatoes in it. It was really tasty. Hubby got a #13 off the regular menu. 1 enchilada, he got ground beef, 1 crunchy taco with ground beef and a tamale which was shredded beef. I tried the tamale and it was very delicious. We did ask to speak to the Manager who looked a bit nervous coming over. We explained to him it was our very 1st visit and won't be our last. We told him everyone wants to call you over to complain, we were like we wanted to give you major compliments on everything from the awesome waiter Ivan to the food and atmosphere. Music was at a perfect tone etc. We were seated by the bar area in a booth. Very nice in that area. We will definitely be going back

I hadn't set foot in this building since McDonald's was here, and found that the subsequent renovation to be impressive. I'll need to come back for a sit down with music, but for this visit it was a To-Go order at the counter. The order came out relatively quick and hot, so much so that I had to be careful taking it back to the car. It was a huge amount of food and so much so that it was good for 2 very satisfying dinners. Even a little microwaving on Night 2 didn't really dent the experience. My only quibble is that I prefer black beans to refried, but either forgot to ask or wasn't sure.

Now when you walk in, there is a huge bar area that is really beautiful. We were seated at a booth. Our waitress was Karla. She warmed up to us pretty quickly. She was really sweet. Of course, we started with the chips and salsa. The table salsa I loved. We asked if they had a hotter one and I believe they called it the Diablo sauce. I kid you not, it looked like molten lava lol Hubby loved it. He loves his hot sauce. We decided to try the Grande Margarita. 32oz of yummm. We opted for the Fuentes queso (flippen delicious) You cannot find queso around Carson City except for the white. And it usually is not good at all. Theirs was perfect. We each got a separate combo plate. Myself a tostada with pastor and a chili relleno with sauce on the side. The relleno was not as crispy as previous pics of them, but still really tasty. Hubby ordered a ground beef enchilada, (something you can hardly find around here) and a pork tamale. I tasted both and they were very very good. Rice and beans were equally delicious. Will be going back to try the chicken fajitas on the next trip. We did ask to speak to the manager who's name is JJ. Everyone takes time to complain, but rarely does anyone take the time to let them know they are doing it right. These guys are doing it right. Upon restroom inspection as well, extremely clean!!

We were greeted right away by cheerful planters overflowing with vibrant wildflowers in full bloom around the restaurant and parking lot; a lovely, welcoming touch that made the arrival feel special. Warm, fresh chips arrived quickly with waters and three excellent dips: a zesty red salsa, a flavorful green salsa (my favorite; I don't often see it served, and it was fresh and full of amazing flavors), and a tasty refried bean dip. All three were delicious. My wife and I split the cheese enchiladas and the Carne Asada dinner. Both were authentically prepared and full of flavor. The carne asada was tender and well-seasoned, the enchiladas rich and satisfying with plenty of melted cheese and savory sauce. We finished most of it and happily brought the extra steak home for breakfast omelets the next morning. The staff checked on us regularly throughout the meal and surprised us with a free dessert at the end...! A nice, thoughtful gesture. Overall, a warm and satisfying experience. We'll be back!

I checked this place out in the afternoon before deciding to go to dinner there. It looked pretty casual in the menu look like something everybody would enjoy. When we got there, we were greeted nicely and our server, JC, was very nice. All of the food was bountiful. We ordered the appetizer with three different items which was pretty good. It was onion rings, fried zucchini, and fried mozzarella sticks. The zucchini was a little undercooked. On to the main courses. It took longer than we would think and they brought it out in pieces. The two men got theirs first and my daughter and I got hers a few minutes later and Grandma was served last. Grandpa ordered a steak sandwich and he said it was good. My husband ordered a Philly cheese steak, which she said was decent. Grandma ordered fish and chips and she said it was so so. The french fries were thick steak type that were really good. A couple of us tried them. My daughter and I were excited when we saw the lobster tacos and we ordered them. The chips that came with them were salty beyond belief! We could not even eat them. When I told JC, she said there's nothing they could do about the chips and she offered to take the salad off the bill which I thought was nice. Both of my daughter and I could not eat the chips. The lobster tacos were not good. If the corn tortillas were warmed or cooked, it must've been very, very little. The lobster was chopped up in a wait and mixed with some kind of sauce that we can barely taste the lobster. We got two tacos and barely ate one. We took them home, but it didn't seem worth it to try to mend this. The best thing I can say is that the people they were very welcoming and pleasant. Also, JC gave my father-in-law a lemon bar for his birthday as we walked out. That was really sweet. Lastly, make sure you bring cash because you have to pay extra for using a card. We have to pay over $6 extra because we used a card. Am I understanding is that is happening a lot in restaurants. So, I don't think this is unusual.

Before you get there, decide how many tacos you want to eat. There will be temptation, stick to your guns. The quick and efficient service may tempt you into an extra taco, resist. Develop the plan, work the plan, stay on the plan. The same goes for weenie Wednesday. The waitress explained it to us once. The owner secures Casper brand hot dogs, bring them over the hill weekly, and the hot dog is designed to snap when you bite into it. I'm convinced this is a covert plan to get you to change your plan. I wish you the best of luck here. The weenie Wednesday menu reflects a variety of flavors that will tempt you into deviating from the plan. I've never heard of a Reuben dog, or a Caesar dog. When I grew up, I had mustard dogs. These dogs are way beyond that and the venue tempts you to try new versions of different hot dogs. One of my excuses the last time I had weenie Wednesday was that " sauerkraut is good for my gut biome." So on taco Tuesday and weenie Wednesday, you could be tempted into a second round. That's not a good thing. The service has been fun, the environment, friendly, and welcoming, people laughing throughout the room, enjoying their food. Makes it a great experience. Oh heck, you're in the building you're hungry, change the plan, enjoy.
