I went to El Amir to fix my Beats Studio 2 headphones. He responded quickly on yelp when I asked if this was possible to fix and when I saw him he set the expectations about timeframe. My headphones needed a new charging port because mine stopped taking a charge. He ended up texting me the next day when they were ready and when I picked them up he let me test them out. They worked like new, it came out to $40 which is what he quoted me and a fair price compared to others that I reached out to. I walked in with high hopes due to the reviews that people have left about this guy but ended up being let down horrendously. it took the Amir a while to even acknowledge me being there, even after greeting him and asking for help multiple times. He tried charging me $450 for a screen repair on a Galaxy Note 10+ even though he had what appeared to one in great condition for $400 inside the glass table. I'd like to know in what world does a screen repair cost more than the phone itself. Overall, would never recommend to anyone because of the horrible prices and even worse customer service. We were looking for an iPhone 8+ for my father, since his iPhone 7 is to small for him. We knew we had to come back to Amir again. He fixed my sister's iPhone charger port, other vendors in the market quoted $175, Amir charged her $20. Today we saw an iPhone 8+ listed for $350 but my sis was looking for a 32 gig because it was cheaper. He informed her that iPhone 8+ comes with 64 gig and more, without my sister asking for a discount, he sold the phone to my sister for $300 flat and gave us a free charger & screen protector. Went here to replace the battery of my Zmax phone. After contacting via Yelp, was messaged within minutes with a quote. Only place in a five mile radius that actually had the battery I was looking for, to boot. Went on a busy day...it's a one man operation so there were a few interruptions, but he managed to have me out the door with a phone actually capable of holding some juice in a satisfactory time given the amount of folks stopping by his stall. Great prices on the phones he has for sale and he interacted in a manner most pleasant with those who stopped by; customer service skills are top notch.
