Entrance! Plenty of parking on the street.

Delicious! Flavorful, authentic! Just moved back from CA and haven't found anything like it around! Definitely worth the stop. Perfect for takeout but there's a few great tables outside as well!

What a great spot to have in the Tri-town area!! We got takeout of shrimp tacos- AMAZING! Street corn to start was also delicious. They also have a large selection of sodas to grab with your pickup- we got a Mexican coke. We don't have many spots like this in our area and they are awesome!

BLUF: This is the best Mexican street food in CT, and possibly all of the east coast. I've lived in CA for years and had Mexican street food from essentially every spot of note in the San Diego and Los Angeles area. This is as good, if not better, than any spot I've had, and it's LEAGUES better than anything else in New England. The owner(?)/manager I met is from Oaxaca and wanted to bring authentic food to the area, and they did not disappoint. Highlight had to be the Al Pastor. Have not had Al Pastor like this since I moved from CA, and I've tried so many spots in both CT, RI, and MA. Everything was good, especially the birria, and the temperature / freshness of the food is insane.

I had the birria tacos and they are the best birria tacos I have ever had, hands down.

My wife called them the day before my birthday to ask if they could handle a 5-pie order. Today, she called to order and was told to bug off because they wouldn't fulfill it. That said, I'll never order their overpriced pizza, and rest assured, I won't patronize the River Tavern owned by the same. That's a twofer of loss. Ego is not your amigo. And neither are we. Good riddance. You caused us quite an inconvenience. ZERO STARS. Had we not called the day ahead to make make sure they could, we would not be upset. But the arrogance of the person on the phone and the lack of concern in our opinion deserves this harsh review.

All the pizzas were so good but we decided on the pepperoni and the meatball white pizza. Both are equally good and I cannot decide which one I like better. The pepperoni had calabrian peppers and rosemary, which was unique to me not too spicy and the pepperoni for good. The meatball Peter came with the Parmesan sauce and cherry tomatoes which I don't like but I really enjoyed it on this pizza. Two small pizzas somewhere good size for two big men. I really enjoyed talking with all the crew there. Shout out to Connor, Noah and Matt. They have a nice local draft list but they were on the pricey side at $10. I can't wait to come back to try out the rest of the pizzas.

My wife, and the reason I am posting this, says the Seltzer is even better then our regular spot. If you knew my wife, you would probably fall out of your chair reading this. First off, when you find the menu online, there is many items that are not currently on the menu. I know they had some staffing issues recently and I'm sure that's why they are running a limited menu, but that should definitely be updated online so guests know that before they come. I also was really looking forward to trying some of their beer, only to find that the only surfridge product available was a seltzer. This was a huge disappointment. To go to a brewery and not be able to drink their beer is pretty ridiculous. Maybe a social media post on instagram to let people know you're not serving your own beer right now? Would have been pretty helpful. When I asked the bartender if that's all the beers available he said " we're going with a microbrewery approach right now". Not really a microbrewery approach if there's one house made beverage and it's not even a beer. That's just a restaurant at that point. The pizzas were good as always, just really long wait in between. We were sitting with two other friends who ordered separately but still at the same time as us, and in between all the pizzas there were super long wait times. One pizza, than 25 minutes later one for the other check, than a half hour later, the other one for them, and then a good amount of time later the last one for us. We didn't even really want it at that point. The whole flow of the way the food came out was just really weird. I'm a chef of almost 15 years in the industry, I'm in no way giving up on this place, as I really like it here. I just think there's some very questionable decisions on the way it's currently being ran. Thanks.
