Atmosphere was wonderful. The menu looked great. However 2 out of the 3 item we ordered was salty. We told the waitress but look at us, like what should she do.

Ordered a Margherita pizza, which was supposed to have fresh mozzarella according to the menu. When I got it home, it looked and tasted just like a plain cheese pizza with tomatoes--no sign of fresh mozzarella anywhere. If that was fresh, they might need a new vendor. I don't treat myself to pizza very often, so this was really disappointing!

Taking a drive down to the Connecticut coast during the dead of winter with ocean winds blowing in the air sounds like a bad idea, right? MAYBE. Unless you're taking that drive to checkout Chow Food & Beverage. A dining atmosphere that makes you forget its January with a cozy barn vibes on the outside and sophisticated but casual dining on the in. Chow Food is probably the best kept unwrapped present for all you Clinton Outlet shoppers (although I didn't come here for that). Located LITERALLY 1 minute from the outlet entrance. Chow Food is set back from the road and is housed within a big red barn looking establishment with a large wood burned sign that says "chow." When I walked in, I was surprised to find so many different seating options given the shape of the building. I was worried that it wouldn't be ideal for my daughter and me, but we were able to be tucked to the right after walking into a separate dining area away from the bar. The food here is DELICIOUS. We started out with a [Chow] fries, which come in a metal bucket that's served on a wood platter (for sauces). I opted for the Chipotle Aioli dipping sauce. The fries were tossed in a dry rub for a unique taste. Once those were gobbled up, out came the main event. My daughtered orderd a small cheese pizza, and I ordered by recommendation the Raging Bull sandwich/burger. You get to choose your protein. I decided on a chicken cutlet. When it arrived, it had a melted cheddar, pickled jalapenos, red onions, and Chipotle ranch dressing. YUM. I opted for a side of Mac and Cheese to see the quality of Mac. And it did not disappoint. This was no EASY MAC. It arrived in a mini skillet and was ready to spoon out. The service was quick. Attentive. And it was everything you could want from a January afternoon. Warm and inviting. This place will be on my food stop EVERY time I make my way toward the Connecticut shore (but maybe when it's a bit warmer ).

I stopped by for a late lunch with my sister during the week. I can't remember what my sister got, but I ordered the Tarred and Feathered - fried chicken with pickled jalapeño tartar sauce and melted cheese - with a side of fries. I LOVED my sandwich. I actually ate the whole thing without having any left over. The fries were also very good. This will be my new lunch spot after shopping at the Clinton Outlets!

Firstly, the ambiance here is New England. If you're from here it'll feel like home, if you're not, you get the New England experience. The food exceeds expectations. We ordered two pizzas and a burger, all unique and delicious. Staff was patient, helpful, and friendly. Definitely recommend. Check it out! Have faith in love, and love is food.

My new favorite spot! I've been meaning to try this place out for years now, because my friends have always raved about the cocktails and martinis! I finally met my girlfriend for some pizza, brussels sprouts and cocktails, and we had a blast and loved everything! I've actually returned three times since, in the last couple of weeks! They have a pretty good range of items on the menu. Higher priced items and a little more upscale. We sat at the bar, but there were plenty of families dining at tables around us. The staff was attentive and service was good. Pizza was okay, but those brussels sprouts with Parmesan cheese and pancetta! Oh my! When I returned, the drinks were a little bit inconsistent based on my previous experiences, but still tasty! CHOW has become one of my favorite, local places, these days!

    Amazing wings and pretzels.

This place always delivers on the flavor! Stopped with my daughter and got the short rib tacos which were enormous and wonderful. My daughter got buffalo chicken Mac and cheese which she describes as "nothing short of amazing "

So delicious... our second time here and I remembered to take pics! We had the pulled pork sandwich (absolutely perfect), ceasar salad... fresh dressing & all, fries... salt & peppery perfection and their pizza which I had zero expectations for was amazing! The sauce is delish and the cheese crisped to our liking! Ambiance is perf, good for kids, service excellent! Stop in on your next trip through / around CT. Right off the highway!

We came here last Friday night for dinner and luckily it wasn't too busy due to the holiday weekend. The place was well decorated for the holidays and they had special holiday cocktails that were awesome - especially the adult Shirley temple. We shared maple Sriracha wings that almost didn't need dressing but there was no way we were passing up the homemade gorgonzola dressing. We all got burgers and it was a rough choice picking between the many options of toppings and ciabatta or brioche buns. Our servers were very nice and patient. We will definitely be back.

Quaint little place in Clinton with a variety of foods and drinks to choose from. Service was great, super friendly and attentive. Tried the fig mule and it was perfect. Had wings for appetizers, good flavor and a burger. All were delicious.

We were worrying about the parking situation because we have a long bed 4-door truck. Much to our surprise parking was easy. Going inside the charming restaurant we were greeted warmly and seated. The waitperson came quickly, taking drink orders, and laying out the specials, including desserts. When she brought the lovely old fashioneds, cider, and iced tea, she took our orders. When the food arrived it was plated very well. And let me tell you -- every single dish was spectacular! I had shrimp n polenta cake. Oh, my gosh, it's the best one I've ever eaten, crispy yet tender inside. The seasoning was spot on. I hope to eat there again on this trip.

We drove to Clinton last summer after it was recommend and had to return with my mom this summer. The majority of the menu can be made gluten free! There are limited fountain drinks available but I saw people bringing their sangria etc with. It is on the water so if it is a cold day and you want to sit outside dress accordingly! I added pictures from last summer. I thought I reviewed oops!

We ordered two lobster rolls, a chicken sandwich, fried clam strips, fried shrimp, and lobster nachos. This wasn't cheap (I didn't see the total as someone else paid). The chicken sandwich was basic but no one's there for the chicken haha. The fries were crispy, the clams were fresh and the shrimp was deliciously jumbo and lightly battered. The lobster rolls were ok, they didn't have much flavor even with the butter, but we were served good sized chunks so that was nice. The lobster nachos were more impressive to look at than to eat because it was basically cold lobster, a corn salsa, and dry tortilla chips. There's nothing else served other than a spritz of lime so the dish is pretty dry on its own. I would probably come again because it's a pretty view and it's BYOB, maybe get the lobster rolls, but I'd definitely come back for the jumbo shrimp!
