This place does not look like much from the road but once you enter the door it's a complete different atmosphere. Lovely, authentic, and classy decor. There menu is authentic, no ordering by numbers that every other Mexican Restaurant has. My friends dish was great and he go so much food. My entree was Chile poblanos, I received two with beans and rice. I ordered chunky guacamole and it was the best I have ever tasted. It was not a purée, it was chunky just like I prefer. On the way back to FL from a trip to north Georgia, we were looking for a good place to stop for lunch. We stumbled upon this place via Yelp, and I'm SOOO glad we did. The service, food, and prices were all amazing, especially at an unassuming restaurant in a strip mall off 75 in GA. The salsa was fresh and fantastic. We had the tacos and sopes for our meals. Both were amazing. The margarita (I ordered a large, not realizing it was fishbowl size and $19) was good, but I would have liked a heads up before I ordered it that a large was really more like a drink for 2 Ppl. But, I won't say no to tequila! If you see this and aren't sure whether to stop by--please do! Authentic mexican food, great service, and reasonable prices. read more

I hate doing critical reviews. If service and, food is terrible I try to avoid review completely and just never come back. However, this place has great food and though my service experience wasnt the best, they have great potential to do better. Service: I show up around 11 a.m. still early in the day so the floor is light. My server tends to me right away with chips salsa and a menu. She asks for my drink order to which I respond, "water, no lemon". Usually these exchanges buy you enough time to explore the menu in preparation of the servers return with you drink ready to take your order. I understand delays due to servicing other customers but it was only me and one other party there and she didnt return back to me for almost a whole 10 minutes. What added insult to injury was I was seated at a booth across from the receptionist counter so I could see her the whole time on her phone and watching the t.v. by the registrar. She had completely forgotten about me. I seriously almost walked out but, I chose the ladder and, gave the a chance to sho case the food. Interior: The inside design is awesome. You definitely feel the Mexican vibe when you here. Very clean, spacious and true to Mexican culture. Their bar is themed designed with a spanish tiles roof between two pillars. They have multiple booths accommodating both large and small party guest. Food Quality: I ordered the DON GUSTAVO'S SPECIAL: One chicken chimichanga, one beef burrito, one beef enchilada, and one chile relleno. reasonably priced at $11.99. It came out fresh and hot. The combination of tortilla filled entrees with perfectly seasoned moist ground beef and shredded chicken were definitely a redeeming factor in the lack of quality service. All in all this place is cool. I dont think that the server was bad. She was nice and very courteous but, she seemed very complacent and, not as accommodating as one would expect. Great food, clean establishment less than stellar service. I'm giving it a 3 star but, due the the great food it deserves another half but, yelp doesn't allow yelpers to vote on halfs. So, 3 it is. I'd definitely return and in the future I hope service gets better to I can re-review and update their star rating. I recommend it if your in the area and in the taste for Mexican. read more

Typical Mexican Restaurant: great customer service and good food. When we arrived at 7 pm, there was only 1 other table so we were seated immediately. Immediately after that a group of about 15 showed up and sat next to us since most of the restaurant is booths. Since the group contained about half children we were tempted to move; however, the children were well behaved. It was a little loud but not enough to force us to move. Our server was very attentive and brought us chips and salsa while we waited for our food. I ordered the Taco Salad and my husband Veggie Quesadillas. My brother-in-law ordered Steak Tacos. The food was delivered fairly quickly. Our food was very good with my brother-in-law saying his was excellent and ordered another. My husband's Margarita was only okay but that is his typical response as there is not a restaurant that can make him an excellent or even good Margarita (he has extremely high standards) so I will not fault them for that. Overall, a very nice restaurant and surprised that they were not busier as everything was so good. Would certainly go back. read more

Birria tacos. I'm not sure why it's not on the menu but they have them! They have the option of goat or beef. I got goat. The plate comes with 4 tacos and one consommé. I ordered two extra tacos and another sauce because I'm greedy lol. I'm not sure what kind of cheese they used but it's deliciously creamy. Perfect contrast to the seasoned goat meat, onions, and cilantro. The consommé could've been seasoned a little bit more but it's not bad at all 8/10. read more

However, be aware that this restaurant has extremely high prices. We eat Mexican food about once a week, and this is by far the most expensive Mexican restaurant in Henry County. Based on the suggestions, we tried the Birria tacos. For $17.50, you only receive four tacos and the consume. We ordered the beef version, and the tacos had plenty of meat, but it was very, very salty. (And, I like salt.) My husband did really enjoy his chicken tacos. And, the fresh salsa was good. We went here on a recent Friday night for our first time. It was pretty crowded, but we were seated immediately. The reviewers are on par about the salsa. It rocks and packs a nice punch. Our server was exceptional. She quickly took our drink order and returned very promptly with beer in mugs so cold they were icy. My husband ordered the El Cacique, and I chose the Pollo a la Parilla. Portions are huge. My husband NEVER gets a to-go box, but he did this night. These dishes were so flavorful. And we got to enjoy them again! Quite the bang for the buck. He ordered a margarita, and we shared it. Like the salsa, it packed a punch. No scrimping on the booze. We look forward to returning and trying something new next time because that menu describes so many dishes that sound so scrumptious. Saw this place and the good reviews about it and on Yelp and wanted to give it a try. This was probably one of the worst Mexican dining experiences I have ever had. I do not recommend this place at all. My Mom and I came on a Sunday around 4pm. The restaurant was about half full, but the empty tables were full of dirty dishes. Not a good look. We struggled to find a seat AND a clean table. We had to awkwardly stand next to a table and wait for it to be cleaned. We honestly probably stood there for 3 minutes. This awkward experience happened to several other people too. They appeared to be short staffed, with just one waitress and one manager on duty for the ENTIRE restaurant. We ordered cheese dip that never came. My Mom asked for crunchy tacos twice and still got soft shell. I ordered the chicken flautas and they tasted like nothing. The chicken was unseasoned and the cheese dip on top was runny. The chips tasted stale and never got refilled. Neither did our water. Awful service. Tasteless food. We have been looking for a place that sells birria tacos near the McDonough area, and this place did not disappoint! We did a takeout order, and it came out very quickly. We got the birria tacos, mexican rice, and refried beans. The tacos were amazing, the meat and broth were so flavorful! The tacos were also still crispy even though we did a takeout order and had to bring it home first. Each order had 4 of the tacos. The mexican rice and beans were also great! Overall, I would definitely recommend trying this place out, especially if you have been wanting to try the birria tacos out. And I will be back to try more stuff! read more

Walked in around 9pm. There was no crowd which was awesome. The customer service could have been better as we had two servers that were bickering the entire time which made it a bit awkward. However, the food made up for the awkwardness between the servers. We ordered the chimichanga de camaron which was light and delicious. We will definitely be back to try more dishes. Wow, extremely clean restaurant with great music! Excellent service -- not once did our drinks run out, chips were kept full, and anything needed was immediately brought to us....only two servers on a Friday night and they were able to provide this level of service. Very full bodied salsa, great cheese dip, and delicious chunky guacamole. We just left just restaurant. The service was very slow and the waitresses would avoid you when you were trying to get their attention. The beans were cold. We ordered 2 taco salads, one with beef and one with chicken. There was no beef, there was no chicken, just cold beans. They offered no discount or refund for this and after waiting over 40 minutes to receive them, we didn't want them remade. We just wanted to leave. Their veggie quesadilla was very good though. We ordered cheese dips and they did arrive promptly, but we didn't get water until we had been there for over 15 minutes. There were no more and more chips until our meals came 40 minutes after we got there. Our drinks were never refilled. The restaurant was not very busy, I don't know what the problem was. Also the refried beans were cold (not cool, but fresh from the refrigerator cold) on everyone's plate, not just in the taco . Altogether, this was a disappointing meal. read more

I went to eat here to today and the food was awful. I complained about my rice being dry and oily. Instead of the taking the meal off of my tab they still charged me for the food but took off 5.00.
