We ordered Pollo al cilantro, Burrito pollo asada. Both tasted great. The portion sizes were huge. Complementary fresh chips with salsa tasted good, the chips were fresh and crispy. Loved the ambiance too.

Ordered a torta At a taco truck $10 but here the menu says $16 with 3 choices of meat. I left paying $26.98. $16 torta $2 extra for carne asada. (meat was thin like pastrami meat) thinly spread extra $2.50 for sour cream I WAS MAD and it was a small sandwich and service was crappy I had to get up to get a soda refill

The sauce has changed and has changed the total taste. Used to be a place where the wife and I could rely on their food! To bad !

The food is bland, the service is slow, and, if it matters to you, the decor is a dingy collection of old cliches.

Can still remember the gourmet dogs and duck fat fries back in the days... Awesome what they did to the place. The new set up with the dim lights and neon menu is noice. Ended up chilling at the front bar. Definitely will return to explore the back at a later time. Food: A We got to sample a variety of goodies and drinks from the menu, which definitely hit the spot. The skewers were cooked just right with a kiss of smoke from the grill. The takoyaki were good as expected--yum. We ended the excursion with the milk bread; it was surely a crowd-pleaser. It was fluffy goodness, topped with furikake, and served with a side of decadent house butter. Drinks were perfectly crafted and refreshing. Service: A We were chilling at the bar and got to hang with staff. Cool folks, will be back. - John

We came by on a Wednesday night and enjoyed some delicious cocktails along with amazing service. Not only did the bartenders help guests sitting at the bar, but they walked around checking on everyone in the lounge seating, and showed that they cared about the customer experience. They messed up on the first pair of drinks we ordered, but comped our second set of cocktails which they made ten times better. We really appreciated this. Adding to our lovely evening, the live music created just the right vibe. Mike Annuzzi, who plays here weekly, showcased some incredible talent on the guitar and vocals, performing great tunes including a jazzy rendition of Michael Jackson's Human Nature, Fly Me to the Moon, as well as some Richard Marx, Now and Forever. Sometimes we take good music for granted, but I don't want to forget the simple moments that create smiles. W XYZ in Sunnyvale features not just an awesome musician, but an excellent sound system too, with suitable volume and clarity, to go along with soothing melodies that ease your mind. Everything about my recent visit makes me wanna return to this spot. And you don't need to be staying at the hotel to take advantage of all this place has to offer.

Went to Nokori to check it out end of last year, was impressed, but somehow keep forgetting to post…read morethe review. It was featured on KQED local station as an elegant late night hotel bar with izakaya style bites. Nokori is an elegant modern Japanese whisky bar nested inside the modern chic Sunnyvale TETRA Hotel (a stylish boutique hotel, right next to Marriott's AC). It opens late into midnight at times. A signature drink is the Japanese whisky highball. It offers well selected whiskey, and cocktails with shoju with Japanese / Asian inspired flavors. This place has great Japanese-style impeccable attention to details: crystal clear Japanese style ice , extra sparkling fizz for the high balls. Even the non-alcoholic highball is dozed with extra sparkling fizz. We enjoyed it. This location is in the heart of Silicon Valley among Google Cloud buildings and famous tech companies. The customers range from hotel goers, tech workers, Googlers, Bay Area startup people discussing IPOs (overheard during our visit) and apparently food writers (from KQED). It way exceeds the standard of a Marriott hotel bar, and is worth a dedicated visit. Park at the parking garage opposite side of the hotel, shares the same parking structure. It offers izakaya style menu, serves small bites, tapas / dishes in the style of Japanese drinking bars. There is a limit number of intimate counter spaces at the bar, but plenty of tables further away from the bar, a spanning view of the lobby and its modern designs. There's also a glass window view of the garden pathway (the winter Christmas decoration was visible from the window was quite pretty). The bar specializes in fancy Japanese whiskeys and highball cocktails, flavored with modern craft cocktail choices and some Japanese inspired choices - shiso, cucumber. We tried Torched Hokkaido Scallops,  Nokori Chicken Karaage, Chowa Highball, Far East Side, Marsuret Brut. All pretty good. The cocktails are strong.  A highball cocktail is basically whisky / shoju, soda water and ice. It is notable they have a soda pump (dispenser) so the bubbles (extra fizzy) are strong (great) and the ice is crystal clear - Japanese cocktail style beautiful, clear ice, melts slowly, tastes good. KQED explains that a highball is made of Japanese whisky soda water and ice. I have noticed the soda was extra extra fizzy and indeed KQED explains that it installed special Japanese soda dispensers. Even when I didn't know, I thought the drinks were excellently fizzy - for someone who likes sparkling water and fizzy drinks, it was immediately notable! And the ice is crystal clear Japanese style cocktail ice. This highball experience is impressive. We ordered the scallops, delicious, the sauce was miso but a bit too salty. The famous chicken karaage fried chicken is golden, light, crispy, needed a bit more seasoning, but it's hard to find good chicken kaarage that's not oily these days so I can definitely see why the food writers liked it. Overall the menu is worth a try. Love the design, ambience, the modern interiors, beautiful selection of whiskeys, reminds me a lot of Tokyo. They carry a good, high end selection of Japanese whiskeys, though I don't know much about it, I can see there are various vintages present, and some of them with a good age / vintage. There are also wines available, and sparkling by the glass. The non alcoholic options are also sophisticated

On my most recent trip, our reservation unexpectedly grew by a few people, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. We really appreciated how hard they worked to make it happen! The cocktails are next level creative, delicious, and unlike anything you'll find at your average bar. My absolute favorite is the Bidi Bidi Bom Bom shot! And of course, we always order the caviar because... why not? The vibe here is everything. Whether it's girls' night, date night, or a celebration, there's always an amazing crowd. The DJ knows exactly how to read the room and keeps everyone singing along/ dancing with banger after banger. One night there was even a live saxophonist who absolutely stole the show, it made the whole experience feel so special! I also love the Renaissance inspired artwork by the entrance featuring icons like Drake, 2Pac, Sade, and more. It's such a cool touch and adds to the atmosphere. No big deal, as I wanted the bar anyway, but something others should keep in mind. The cocktail list is plentiful and intriguing. I tend to avoid tequila, so that eliminated a good chunk of the options. I went with Rose Colored Lenses, which was fantastic, and decently sized. Presentation was beautiful. My friend had All a Dream, also very good. The wine offerings are minimal, this is very much a cocktail or champagne type of place, with caviar being the primary food service. Speaking of service, the bartender was excellent, both in his mixology and demeanor. It took awhile to get the drinks, but I assume that was due to the complexity of the cocktails, paired with having just opened the doors a few min earlier. Two notes: 1. The barstools were a little too low, imo. I don't normally pay much attention to that detail, but these were uncomfortably low for me, even with my long torso, I was hyper aware of my posture. So maybe that's actually a good thing 2. Other patrons were rolling in shortly behind me, so there is probably an early crowd when they first open, then a late night group that appreciates the 2am closing time. Interior is beautiful, and you can use the steps up to the 2nd floor either from N Santa Cruz or the rear parking lot off W Main. More substantial food options are a mere few steps across the hall at Heritage.
