    Fried tacos - appetizer

Stumbled upon this place while looking for something open to eat after 9 pm! And boom there it was ! They have live music playing so it is definitely loud would recommend sitting on the patio for a nice breeze at night (maybe- yall know we in Texas lol). The food was good and the drinks are going to drink you so be aware they are strong lol. My server was very attentive and so sweet ! I will definitely be back

It's FAR too LOUD in here! Inside and outside. We sat outside and the music volume was still overwhelming. They had a live band inside and a Dj outside. The food however, was pretty good. The service was good. The food was a bit pricey though for somewhere I couldn't wait to LEAVE. There were a lot of people there though so it's definitely the place to be if that's your thing. I however, have no interest in returning.

Food had no flavor the cheese enchiladas we terrible the cheese wasn't even melted. This was a disappointment.

Service was good but food was very disappointing the mojarra was over fryer and with no flavor and the green cheese enchiladas were horrible the cheese wasn't even melted.

    Paella was pretty good.

I wish I had read the reviews before coming to this restaurant. The music was too loud to the point that I couldn't hear the person sitting next to me. We literally had to use text to communicate. At a club alright, but at a restaurant, unacceptable. This seems to be a complaint folks have and nothing has changed. My server couldn't understand me. I literally had to point to my food on the menu to order (the first menu I got had gum on it). My paella was pretty good but the other dishes folks had at my table were subpar. The drinks were watered down. I will not be coming back.

Decided to try a new place after running an errand. After having a miserable experience at another Mexican restaurant recently, I was apprehensive about trying another small Mexican place. The restaurant was a nice looking place, but I'm not sure what it is about mom and pop Mexican restaurants that has them blasting the music as loud as a night club on a Friday night. The place was loud. It was difficult to have a conversation. This time around, I was gonna go for something simple when it came to food. A plate of beef enchiladas is my usual go to when trying new Mexican places. My thinking is that it's a pretty difficult thing to screw up. My wife ordered some tacos with a cheese sauce. I can't exactly remember the name of them. The waitress asked me if I wanted green or red sauce on my enchiladas. She was very friendly and had a smile the whole time. Food was served and my enchiladas were served with green sauce. I told the waitress that I wanted red sauce and she took my plate to get corrected. During this time, I can see my wife making faces while eating her food. I asked her what was wrong and she said the food was pretty terrible. My wife is not as picky an eater as I am so if she's making faces, that's not good. She said the meat was rubbery and the cheese was more like water. She also mentioned the rice not being very tasty. Being the soldier she is, she still tried getting through most of it before giving up. My enchiladas arrive and i quickly find the same is true for me. These beef enchiladas were rubbery beef chunks with an odd taste. Not ground beef like most beef enchiladas. The sauce was strong like a hot sauce. The rice was just nasty. I don't have a better description for it. I did my best to try to get through the plate but I couldn't even finish one whole enchilada. When the waitress came back to check on us, I asked for the bill. She asked if we needed a to go box and we both quickly shook our head that we did not. The manager came to our table to ask us how our experience was while holding our check. I explained to him that the food was just not good. It was as simple as that. He handed me the bill and had removed the enchiladas. I told him I was not trying to get over on them and was willing to pay for my meals. I know there are people out there who are looking for any excuse to get away with a free meal when dining out and I am very adamant about making sure I'm not confused with one or them. In the end we didn't pay for the enchiladas and as soon as we were out I drove next door to the Wendy's drive thru. I was starving. I didn't want to completely dismiss this place by giving it a one star review here. I found the waitress to be friendly and the customer service, in my personal opinion, was pretty stellar. This is why I added another star. I just wish the food didn't taste terrible. It was really disappointing. I never not finish my plate.

Ceviche pico de gallo style and fajita a la plancha with fajita

First off I would like to warn some folks the music is loud they have ppl playing loud music so if that's not your thing maybe this place isn't for you..... the food there is always amazing.... I love ceviche so this is one of my go to spots and the meals are always really good if you are ordering the top is the line stuff.... Maybe the generic burritos and tex Mex is your average meal that you get at most other places but I don't eat much tex Mex so I never get it but you get the fajita plates or oysters or other seafoods the food hands down is awesome.... Went there last night the drinks were strong and the service was good we sat outside since we don't go there for the live bands....

Officer Aguilar to the rescue! shout out to officer Guerra & officer Esparza too!

The food, the service, the ambiance all were 10/10! The only small inconvenience for me is the restroom wait as there is only 2 stalls and a lot of us go out to drink, so needless to say the restroom being available at a timely manner is a big plus! Unfortunately this location does not have this bonus and could definitely use another stall or 2 cause let's just say it caused some minor problems and that's why I am giving a shout out to the officers! Let me not forget the manager. I apologize for not getting her name but the way they looked out for me & my group was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. It's definitely a fun place! I wouldn't recommend you take your kids after 10 on a Saturday lol. I'll definitely be going back!

Great place to watch a game, listen to live music, food and drinks are incredible specially the prices Plus they carry my favorite tequila La Santa

The house margarita is a bit too sweet (for me) and light on the alcohol, but it's so big, I got a bit of a buzz anyway.
    Leah H.

If they would just turn down the music, I would add a star, but it's so loud I actually worry for my hearing, and it takes away from the overall experience. We sat outside (because of the loud music), and the food was solid TexMex, which I love. The house margarita was huge, if a little sweet, but decent. The service was great. Overall, sitting outside away from the loud music, it was an enjoyable experience. If you're looking for good TexMex, this is a good choice. Save your hearing, though, and sit outside.

My experience: The food was okay, the drinks were good, the service sucked (took the servers an hour to get our order for drinks and food and about 35 minutes to get our food). The ambiance on Karaoke night sucked. The DJ cranked that shit up like we were in a fkn concert but in a small room. The singing would have been nice but the music alone was way too much. It was not a pleasant experience at all. Don't get me wrong I like loud music but what I don't like is my eardrums exploding.

    Chicken burrito,rice , and beans.

Very loud music this was even at lunchtime. The service was great. The food was ok. I only ate off the lunch menu. The rice was ok and the beans are salty.

    Shrimp, mussels and octopussy!!

Kind of a weird setup though, because the bartender told me I could only use the $20 gift card if I was paying with a gift card... which felt a bit off, but whatever. Overall, this place was just okay. I get the feeling the boils might be the star of the show here, so I'll probably come back to give those a try. I ordered the sampler with fried green tomatoes, boudin balls, and stuffed jalapeños. The flavors were there, but the boudin balls were a little too salty. For my main, I went with the etouffee and asked for both shrimp and crawfish. It was flavorful, with a solid dark roux that I liked. I sat at the bar, and Crystal was my server. She was super friendly but admitted it was her first time making the Bloody Orange Lemon Drop. I gave her a couple of pointers for the second round, and she nailed it - so props for that! In the end, the experience was just fine. Not bad, not amazing. I'll probably come back to try the boils, but for now, it's a solid 3 stars.

"Seafood Hits the Spot, but Service Misses the Mark" 08-30-2025…read more I absolutely cannot believe I've passed by this place for many many years and never tried it out until now. I came here on a Saturday afternoon with my sisters and our fifteen-year-old godsister after doing a little school shopping for her at Willowbrook Mall. We had a fabulous time, and we all enjoyed our meals equally; the quality and taste were excellent. Our entrées were delivered fresh, piping hot, and full of flavor. No complaints there! The only disappointment was my appetizer order of fried calamari. It was definitely not the best I've had, honestly, not even close. The pieces were thick, overcooked, and rubbery, making them unpleasantly chewy. A total bummer and a waste of $13. Now, about the service: our server was attentive, but her style came across as pushy and unprofessional. She didn't communicate clearly, and instead of asking if we wanted refills, she simply pointed at our glasses back and forth as if we were supposed to guess what she meant. At one point, while wagging her finger at the drinks, a particle flew off her hand and nearly landed in one of the glasses of cokes. I was appalled! Additionally, to make matters worse, she brought wet wipes for my sisters but instead of leaving them on the table, she opened the packages herself and handed them out one by one, issuing them out as if they were children. My younger sister flat-out declined hers when she saw this happening. Honestly, why would anyone open customers' wet wipes for them when handling food and drinks? She seemed like someone who had just been hired and thrown straight into the job without training. Another complaint I have is that the server didn't clear our appetizer plates before bringing out the entrées. Now, mind you, the platters are served on large rectangular plates that take up a lot of space. When she tried to hand me my food, I asked if she could place it back on her serving cart and clear the table of the appetizer dishes and leftovers first, so my family and I would have more room and be more comfortable. To her credit, she did it right away without any attitude. Like I said, she was attentive, but her service skills came across as unprofessional. That said, the food more than made up for the service. It was hands-down delicious, and we will definitely be back, just not with the same server. If you love good Southern fried seafood, this spot has it on lock! I highly recommend them! Food Ratings: Fried Fisherman Platter - 5/5 (fish, shrimp, oysters, crawfish, hush puppies, and sweet potato fries; everything on this platter was perfect!) Fried Fish & Shrimp Platter (with fries) - 5/5 Fried Fish Platter (with fries) - 5/5 Cole Slaw - 2/5 (lacked flavor) Blue Crab & Shrimp Boil - 5/5 Crawfish & Queso Dip w/Chips - 3/5 (queso was delicious, but chips were cold and too hard) Fried Calamari - 1/5 (overcooked and rubbery: hard to enjoy, not the quality I expected) Mango Rita w/ Tajín - 5/5 (strong, delicious, and on point!) Ambiance: Nice and quiet with soft music and flatscreen TVs. Definitely family-oriented and great for groups. Side Note: I would have given this place 5 stars but the wait service did not permit me to do so; it was too bad. However, the rating can always change considering on what takes place on my next visit.
