Both the red & green salsas are marvelous. Chips are crispy. The veggie Quesa Flameado was superb. While visiting our youngest daughter and her husband, we chose Las Flores purely on the proximity to their home. I was certainly glad we did. I had Beef Enchiladas, my wife had Chicken Enchiladas, and the kids shared a Beef Fajitas for two. The Beans and Rice were outstanding. This may sound weird, but sometimes, at some places, the side dishes are mearly an afterthought; not here. Everything was served quickly, piping hot, and my Iced Tea glass never hit bottom. We didn't have time to fill up on Chips & Hot Sauce before Supper was served. Very nice Folks, great food and better service makes for a great experience and I am sure we will visit again when in the area. Give them a try, you'll be glad you did. read more

My happy place is bellied up to this bar shoving their house green salsa in my face with my happy hour margarita. Friendly, fun, cozy, comfy, inexpensive hole in the wall family style Mexican restaurant and bar. There's a big dining room, so a good spot for groups, but we normally set up at the bar. The service is casual, warm, efficient, and friendly. Food comes out super fast. We went on Valentine's Day (Tuesday)and it was so good that we decided to go again tonight (Friday) and sad to say it was not good. The waiter only came to take our order, bring the food and then to give us the check. Our chapulas were so soggy that I had to send them back. The table behind us sent theirs back too. The restaurant is very well decorated, and definitely helps to create an ambience very typical of mexican restaurant both not crossing over the Tex-Mex line. The food is decent, not the best. I ordered the enchiladas, but the are made out of flour tortilla which is not the way it should be done. I was expecting something more "casero" on the flavor, and the yellow cheese definitely didn't help. Today July 6, 2024 picked up a to-go order. Normally this restaurant would be a 4 or 5 out of 5 stars as it has been in the past. Today however, the food was bland and tasted as if it were made with last years ingredients. The guacamole was especially awful; chunky style and tasted not fresh at all. The cheese queso had a waterlike consistency and rolled off of the chip like water. Although, the green and the red chip sauce were still very good. Perhaps the B Team was cooking today. read more

I recently moved to neighborhood four months ago I went for the first time a month ago this nice young lady sat me down we had a pleasant conversation my waiter and buss boy were very very nice the waiter even made my daughter laugh. I decided to go back two weeks ago because it was a great experience I went on a Thursday hoping to see my new friends only the nice host was there. I got the owner as my waiter and this chubby girl who DOESNT DO ANYTHING. She is very lazy the owner did nothing but talk to a family in a very big booth I waited till either both waiter or lazy girl come to refill drink I just decided to go to register and pay. DO NOT COME EVEN OWNER DOES NOT TREAT YOU GOOD. The food was ok the chile con queso was ok too thick. The restaurant is cute. A friend suggested this place because it was open later than other restaurants in the area. We sat outside and I ordered a mojito and my friend ordered a margarita. Both our drinks were extremely weak. It took the waiter at least 15-20 min to return and take our order even though there were very few people in the restaurant. I ordered queso as an appetizer and it tasted...strange. Probably used some processed cheap cheese with a ton of preservatives. The chips were cold and hard. Absolutely not freshly made. I ordered the shrimp enchiladas when the waiter finally returned, and when the food arrived, my enchiladas were bland and the shrimp were tiny and a few of them had a grayish tinge. The plate was extremely hot but the food was lukewarm, a dead giveaway that this food had been microwaved. Further evidence of this meal not being fresh was the fact that the enchiladas were extremely soggy and fell apart when I tried to lift them into the to-go box. The refried beans was also burnt on the edges. There was no pico, sour cream, or lettuce to go with my enchiladas. When we finished, I asked for the check, tipped 15% and got in the car with my friend to leave. As we were getting ready to go, the waiter and the manager were talking in front of the table we had been sitting at, and threw several dirty looks at us. I'm not sure why they'd be so rude, considering I was nothing but polite to them despite the poor quality of the food. Absolutely do not go here. You'll still be hungry when you leave and $60 poorer for your trouble. read more

Just got done eating here with some friends, after my friend drank half the cup of water we realized there was a roach in the cup. We talked to the manager and all he said was "well what do you want me to do about it". We weren't trying to be those people to just get free food but after seeing the roach we did question how are food was made and if it had roaches as well. And after we addressed that he still continues with "there's nothing I can do about it" very unprofessional, and now that I'm reading the reviews like I should have before i came and after the fact they told me nothing like this has ever happened, I seen more comments about the roaches here. This place does not need to be open considering the fact they just don't care about the hazards here and clearly haven't done anything about it from the last complaint. read more

Great Tex-Mex food and atmosphere for a very fair price. The staff are mostly family members and are extremely friendly. My wife and I have been going here since they opened and plan to continue going until the restaurant shuts down or we die. This place smelled like sewage and they used American square cheese as their cheese in cheese enchiladas and a replacement for Monterey Jack. A friend offered to take me to Mexican and I could not refuse because he is a friend. When we walked into this establishment that only had two of 25 tables at 7pm, I knew something was wrong by sight. But by smell, I also knew that something was wrong with their sewage system. The entire place smelled like backed-up sewage. I did not want to offend my friend so if he did not smell it, I thought I could overcome it. I lived in China where this smell was common so I just put my mind at rest so it would ignore it. Maybe the Margarita and food will ease me into the experience. When the Margarita arrived, it arrived with green-tinged salt. I asked that I have regular salt that won't make my lips green and they graciously changed it to regular uncolored salt, thankfully. The salsa and chips arrived. The chips were fine: thin and crisp. The red salsa was very good. It was stewed and had a great temperature. The green salsa tasted like mayonnaise and was extremely hot. Not a good combination. I ordered the Superior Special. It included: 1. Crispy beef taco 2. Chile con queso 3. Avacodo salad. 4. Tamale 5. Beef enchilada (I switched to chicken) 6. Cheese enchilada I ordered mine with ranchero beans instead of refried beans. 1. The crispy beef taco tasted like the beef sat the entire day and had a tinge of rot to it. 2. The chile con queso was simply a single fried/puffed corn tortilla with processed American cheese poured onto it. Horrible. 3. The avacado salad tasted fresh at first! Then it had a taste of fish. I could not finish it. Then the main plate arrived. The enchiladas were coated in processed American cheese that tasted just as it sounds. The cheese enchilada was stuffed with American cheese. Gross. And the tamale had no taste. I won't fault them with this, though, because tamales are not that great, even among fans of tamales. The ranchero beans tasted like fresh cilantro to cover the old oil that has been used with other food and the beans were hard. After tasting how gross this food was, I could only imagine how dirty the kitchen was. GROSS FOOD. SEWAGE RESTAURANT. DIRTY KITCHEN. Avoid this place at all costs. I hope I protected you if you read this. I haven't said anything to my friend but he said it wasn't very good on his way out and he really has no taste in food, so that says a lot. The frozen Margarita was not very good either. Besides the green salt, it had a gelatinous finish even though the ice had melted. This told me that something was added to give it weight. I don't need to get a buzz on a single Margarita, but I don't want to get cheated on it. Avoid. I wish there was a zero star so I could go less than zero with this review. Worst. Restaurant. We visit for lunch. They have a good selection. The food tastes good, not greasy at all. The salsa tastes pretty good, not salty but tasty _freshly made. I like the fact that the plate is hot when it come to table. We love spicy salsa so I asked for more salsa but they didn't have more one. The price is ok, but slightly higher than other restaurants. I tried Gringos down the street and of course that place it great... but then my friend shared this little secret with me. I love their food! It's clean inside and the employees are all super friendly!! I love Juan #1... Juan #2 isn't bad either. Their green sauce is so dang good!!! And the red sauce is served warm... pace yourself or you'll fill up on chips and salsa... the queso is great! I think the prices are good for the amount of food you get... I'm addicted to their refried beans. I almost always order the Enchiladas de Crema (chicken) and when the cream sauce meets those yummy, piping hot refried beans... I'm done for!! Freaking good!!! I crave their green sauce. OBSESSED. Without a doubt, the most magical thing on this earth. We're fajita people and to date, have never been let down. Our favorite is the Parraillada Nortena. This place is ok, the salsa is good. Ordered the "no name" enchiladas because they sounded like they were packed with flavor and they were marked as a popular option, but they were pretty bland and I couldn't even tell there was a pepper wrapped in them.
