Atmosphere had beautiful pictures of a proud bull and many others A variety of music , the lighting was so romantic and clam. The prices of plate dinners very reasonable, portions of food were great. Other waiters stop by to check on us, while our waiter busy helping other table as well. Our group of sisters selected nachos and enchilada plate, and quesadillas mini for small appetite superb if I didn't know any better. This was my first time at this restaurant. It reminds me of El Temple if anyone is familiar with El Temple, that would be their competitor. This is in the 1960 Champion 4 area. I met the owner and he said he coined his restaurant first as the luxury Mexican restaurant food Great atmosphere and great food. I'm here for the second time in a long period due to my last encounter. There are 3 people 2 Latinos and me Black. My other patrons rang the BELL for me to get service. When I place my order, I was asked was it to be to go? I said no for here. I received my food and drink. No one checked on my satisfaction. When I stated no asked me how my food was. The waitress answered and asked the question back to me. I feel so disrespected and discriminated against by people of color to me. I'm spending my money for respect NOT disrespect. This establishment has been here since I can remember, I grew up in this community. The owner is a good neighbor that also cares about our community. We mainly come here for special occasions and holidays. If you're looking for friendly service, this is your place too. Great place for big families/friend groups and celebrations! Came here with my family to celebrate my mom passing her citizenship test. We had a reservation but I had to call due to running 20-30 mins late. The hostess was super nice and said all was ok! The food and service was great especially considering how busy it was. The live music was a great plus during dinner. I had the chile relleno which was delicious and cheesy, and a couple frozen margaritas, peach and mango (which they do not hold back on!!). The green salsa with the chips was also a hit in our family. We also appreciated that our server was able to get my dad a lunch only option that he was craving for dinner. Weekend breakfast was a hit! For $10-$13 the platters come with your main dish, fresh corn or flour tortillas, potatoes with chorizo, and beans. The homemade corn tortillas are the best! Terrible customer service! Owners son was pouring me top shelf tequila without asking. I always get the house silver. When I asked him about it, he told me that was part of the recipe. What?! Wtf! In a Mexican restaurant their is many options for tequila. Proper etiquette is to always ask. Refused to refund my money. Also had brought me the tab before the food came out because his shift was ending. Cancelled the food order and paid it letting him know would never come back. Love this restaurant. The beef fajitas are the best I've had in a very long time. Our server was wonderful, very helpful and knowledgeable and made sure my food did not have cilantro in it. My husband ordered the snapper acapulco and said it was wonderful. The flavors and textures were so very good he will definitely order again. I also had the ground beef taco salad. Food was average no worse or better than anywhere else. Won't be wasting my time and money there anymore. This is a great local spot. My favorite dish is (sadly!) only offered Monday at lunch. Enchiladas Fiestas - It's a mix of three enchiladas - so delicious! They also bless you with chips and the best warm salsa (so good you could drink it) so I'm stuffed before I'm even halfway done with my meal. The good news is that I can always have enchilada leftovers for Tuesday lunch :) I'll bump it up to 5 stars if you add that to the menu permanently! My past experiences here were pretty awful, BUT since they are still in business even after the pandemic, I was hopeful that the food, margaritas, and service had improved. Nope! Margaritas tasted like lime water. A $15 brisket enchilada plate was mediocre and exceedingly salty. My friend only took two bites of her chicken enchiladas. The only good thing was they brought a small portion of queso with the complimentary chips (and decent salsa). The restaurant is nearby a shopping center with a lot of stores, and when you pass by it seems to be like an expensive restaurant. In reality the restaurant is not that expensive but their decorations and ambience make this restaurant to be compared to a high scale mexican restaurant. They have 2 outside patios and they are dog -friendly! So we went on Saturday early afternoon and were served outside by Jose who was very friendly. And the hostess even brought 2 plastic water cups for our 2 Great Dane puppies. How cool is that!? I had a barbecue breakfast taco. Not MY favorite, but I wanted to try something new.
