Traveling through and stopped at this restaurant. It's a lot bigger inside than it looks from the outside. It has a bar towards the back and lots of booths and tables with Mexican music playing in the background. I was seated right away and greeted with chips and salsa. I was in a bit of a rush so I opted for the lunch special of tacos de carne asada. They were delicious and stuffed with lots of meat, pico de gallo. I asked for cheese instead of crema. It comes with rice and beans, but I opted to only have the tacos. Definitely great stop and Sandy was an amazing waitress.

Chips and salsa are pretty standard. Chips are stale, salsa almost tastes like cocktail sauce. I ordered the carne asada plate and substituted the rice and beans for salad. The picture they have online is NOTHING like what they serve. Not a sprinkle of salt or seasoning anywhere. This definitely caters to the "black pepper is too spicy community." I have zero reason to return.

The food here is good-- have flavor and is freshly prepared, but has lots of lettuce and beans. As soon as you sit down, you're treated to free chips and salsa, which are the perfect snack to get you started while you look over the menu. The beers and drinks are reasonably priced, and they offer a good variety, making it a nice spot for a casual meal. The space is cozy and welcoming, with a nice, relaxed vibe that makes it a pleasant place to dine.

Smiling faces welcome you and quickly seat you. The decor of the restaurant is very nice. I love the carvings in the seats. I ordered a chicken enchilada and beef taco with a side of cheese dip. They came with rice and beans. All of that for under $15! I think that's a great deal. Oh, and the food was tasty as well. I look forward to my next visit. AND THEN CAME THE FLAN I asked for it without whipped cream and it was HEAVENLY! I'll give up men for this! Perfectly smooth and creamy with the right sweetness. Best flan I ever had at a restaurant.

This restaurant only had 3.5 stars on and I was hesitant to try it, but gave it a shot as recent reviews were good. We are glad we did as we all liked out meals; especially the fried shrimp tacos. There were atleast 3-4 fried shrimp in each tacos(came with three) and it was hot and fresh! The pico that came with it was very yummy. Didnt care for the rice as it was hard, but their blackbeans were really good. The chicken taco was good but the pork taco was waaay to greasy. My 10 year old didnt eat it and took one of my shrimp tacos. The steak chimichanga that my husband got was too salty. The chips and salsa was good. Im guess depending on what you get here is a hit or miss. We definitely recommend the fried shrimp tacos and the chicken tacos. We will return to try their fajitas. Server was nice, but a little slow.

Delicious truly authentic Mexican food in Dacula at an amazing price! The service was great, they even have a robot food runner that delivers your food, so cool!! The ambiance was nice very culturally inspired, colorful and beautiful

The small guacamole was VERY small but cost $6.25.

Was disappointed with this dinner. The food was not great. We had combo fajitas and a combo with a chalupa, enchilada and poblano. Taste was not fresh. Beef in the fajitas was dry and corn tortillas looked like they had seen better days. Small order of guacamole came in the same size bowl as the salsa and did not taste fresh but cost 6.25. Service was REALLY slow and no one came to check on us until we asked for the check. Probably won't be back.

It's probably the most decent tex mex around Hamilton Mill. Pricing is fair and generous portions.

They do not have their Carbs listed for what that filling is. I just know it doesn't knock me out of ketosis. They should really put up a sign out front that says our chicken is low-carb, friendly or something to the effect. I really appreciate this place. The friendly staff the comfortable booths. It's a bustling place. I know the tortillas are amazing for the burrito shell they are very large about 11 inches. I ate a little bit of the rice and beans a very small portion just to get a taste and they are also fabulous, I can't wait to when I get to the weight. I want going back in there and enjoying the rice and beans and the tortilla shell. I just wanna bring across that the chicken is just absolutely fabulous and I am including a picture here of what it looks like if you order it that way without the rice and beans. When I ordered it without the rice and beans, the server gladly took my order but sort of gave me a puzzle look like why wouldn't you want the rice and beans? Anyway, I can't wait to go back there again and again.

I ordered the lunch special with two tacos (pastor & chicken) and swapped the beans for rice. It was my first time trying pastor, and wow--I was genuinely impressed. The meat was tender, juicy, and packed with a smoky, slightly sweet, and savory flavor that really stood out. Definitely a 5/5 for the pastor taco. The chicken taco was decent--well-seasoned, mildly juicy, and satisfying, but not quite as bold or memorable. I'd give that one a 4/5. One thing I really appreciated: the meat didn't have that dry, overcooked texture you sometimes get at other taco spots. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. My partner ordered the carne asada plate (charbroiled fajita steak with pico de gallo, avocado, rice, and tortillas, with beans swapped for extra rice) $15.99. He said the steak was nicely charred, tender, and full of rich, savory flavor with just the right amount of seasoning. The plate was filling and well-balanced, and he gave it a solid 4/5. Overall, a great lunch spot with fresh ingredients, quick seating, and flavorful food. We'll definitely be back!

The restaurant is big, spacious, and doesn't make you feel like you're dining inside a shoebox. Now... the booths. You know those tragic booths where one side is basically punishment seating? As a frequent visitor to their various locations, I walked in with high expectations for both the atmosphere and the kitchen. While the flavors on this visit were a bit of a rollercoaster, the exceptional customer service and stunning interior design make it a standout destination in the local dining scene. Hacienda stays true to its brand with an eye-catching and vibrant interior. The decor is a masterclass in modern Mexican aesthetics. Bold colors, intentional lighting, and a layout that feels both spacious and intimate. I was promptly greeted by a friendly hostess who seated me in a cozy corner booth, perfect for a quick business lunch or a relaxed solo meal. While the food had some misses, the staff at the Buford location is world-class. My server/hostess was super sweet, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. In an era where great service can be hard to find, the team here reminded me why this chain has such a loyal following. It's the kind of hospitality that makes you want to give a place a second chance, even if the kitchen had an off day. I opted for the lunch special accompanied by their signature queso and a pineapple juice. As a fan of the queso at other Hacienda locations, I had high hopes. It's a staple for a reason, though it didn't quite hit the peak flavor I've experienced elsewhere this time around. The salsa was also a bit of a letdown. It lacked that signature zest and kick you expect from authentic Mexican spots, feeling a bit under seasoned. I'd describe the burrito as mid. On the plus side, it was packed with protein, which was great for satisfying a serious hunger, but it lacked the flavor profile I usually associate with Hacienda's recipes. I have to be honest. The pineapple juice was a disappointment. It tasted more like sugar water than fresh fruit, and I'd recommend sticking to their margaritas or water instead. Hacienda in Buford is a beautiful space with a staff that truly cares about the guest experience. While the kitchen didn't quite meet the stellar mark on this particular visit, the protein heavy portions and the vibrant atmosphere still make it a solid choice for a quick lunch near the Mall of Georgia. Because the service was so incredible, I'm definitely open to returning to see if the flavors catch up to the hospitality. #ashsaidit #HaciendaBuford #BufordEats #GwinnettDining #MexicanFoodGA #RestaurantReview

I dined here yesterday with coworkers and ordered the chicken enchiladas. Within just a few hours, I became severely ill and experienced what was unmistakably food-borne illness symptoms that persisted through the night and into the following day. Notably, this was the only meal I had that day, and my coworkers--who ordered entirely different dishes--did not experience any issues. Hoping for at least a reasonable and empathetic response, I contacted the restaurant the next day to inform them of the situation. Unfortunately, the interaction with the manager was both dismissive and unsettling. I was told that my claim could not be "verified" because no one else had called to report similar symptoms, and therefore they could not take responsibility. I was further informed that any possibility of a refund or compensation was off the table because I did not report the issue the same day and lacked medical documentation explicitly tying the illness to their food. What was particularly frustrating was the implication that my experience was invalid simply because others did not report the same issue. When I explained that my coworkers ordered different items, I was met with continued skepticism rather than concern. The tone throughout the conversation felt defensive rather than professional, and there was a complete lack of basic customer care or accountability. Food safety concerns should be taken seriously, and customers reporting illness deserve to be treated with respect--not interrogation. Even a simple acknowledgment or apology would have gone a long way. This experience with blatantly rude customer service and experience with their food has left me both shocked and appalled. Due to the combination of getting sick and the poor handling of the situation, I will not be returning. Their food wasn't even that good anyway.
