I eat here on occasion and it's been a while. Not for any particular reason or being bad, just haven't gone. Decided to go today and make sure everything was still good. It was. Had the grilled tilapia tacos which comes with rice and beans. I did the black beans. The food was good except maybe just a little salty, but nothing which made it inedible. I also did an add on side of a chile poblano with cheese. The server was efficient. The only gripe is that the chips are not as warm when they're first brought like a lot of other Mexican restaurants will serve warm. They do bring a big portion which can be a good thing except if the chips were warm they would definitely cool down before you could eat them. The chile poblano while good was covered in too much sauce. I'm not one who likes bbq or anything drowning in sauce. It takes away from the taste of the food. I'm sure I've mentioned that before in other reviews. So if I order it again I'll be sure to ask if they can go easy on the sauce. read more

The salsa portions that come with the chips was weirdly small. We ordered a cheese queso, and it was watery. My husband and I both got steak quesadillas, which were very cheesy, but average in taste. They have the robots to deliver food The cheese with mushrooms is little unique here and is yummy. Pollo Sabriso is huge with 2 chicken breasts and shrimp with mushrooms. It tastsy. Traveling through and stopped at this restaurant. It's a lot bigger inside than it looks from the outside. It has a bar towards the back and lots of booths and tables with Mexican music playing in the background. I was seated right away and greeted with chips and salsa. I was in a bit of a rush so I opted for the lunch special of tacos de carne asada. They were delicious and stuffed with lots of meat, pico de gallo. I asked for cheese instead of crema. It comes with rice and beans, but I opted to only have the tacos. Definitely great stop and Sandy was an amazing waitress. read more

Chips and salsa are pretty standard. Chips are stale, salsa almost tastes like cocktail sauce. I ordered the carne asada plate and substituted the rice and beans for salad. The picture they have online is NOTHING like what they serve. Not a sprinkle of salt or seasoning anywhere. This definitely caters to the "black pepper is too spicy community." Today's lunch was a disgrace. I was served the utter dregs of a pan that should have been thrown out as waste but was instead shoved into a to-go container and foisted upon me, a hapless DoorDash customer who can't get a refund. The carnitas were barely edible. If the chunks weren't overly dry from prolonged heat lamp exposure, they weren't meat at all, but globs of pure fat. These small piles of refuse were floating in a sea of murky mystery liquid and coated in some sort of horrible meat-cooking by-product that became a granular mess resembling cheap canned dog food when agitated with a fork. I was quite hungry, so I forced myself to eat the bits that looked like actual meat, the salad, the pico. Over two thirds of what I was brought (by a driver who smelled like an ashtray) went to the garbage can. It was definitely bad enough to forever avoid this restaurant for either delivery or for dining in. But it's also enough to make me avoid DoorDash. Seems to me quite a few restaurants are using faceless delivery schemes to offload sub-par servings they could never get away with plating inside their dining rooms. read more

Smiling faces welcome you and quickly seat you. The decor of the restaurant is very nice. I love the carvings in the seats. I ordered a chicken enchilada and beef taco with a side of cheese dip. They came with rice and beans. All of that for under $15! I think that's a great deal. Oh, and the food was tasty as well. I look forward to my next visit. AND THEN CAME THE FLAN I asked for it without whipped cream and it was HEAVENLY! I'll give up men for this! Perfectly smooth and creamy with the right sweetness. My meal was 21.00 with tip. later in the evening, I realize that not only card been charged $21 but it had been charged $163 as well. When I called to speak to the manager, he was very nonchalant and basically rude. I explained to him what happened and told him I would be filing a police report disputing the charge. This restaurant only had 3.5 stars on and I was hesitant to try it, but gave it a shot as recent reviews were good. We are glad we did as we all liked out meals; especially the fried shrimp tacos. There were atleast 3-4 fried shrimp in each tacos(came with three) and it was hot and fresh! The pico that came with it was very yummy. Didnt care for the rice as it was hard, but their blackbeans were really good. The chicken taco was good but the pork taco was waaay to greasy. My 10 year old didnt eat it and took one of my shrimp tacos. The steak chimichanga that my husband got was too salty. The chips and salsa was good. Im guess depending on what you get here is a hit or miss. We definitely recommend the fried shrimp tacos and the chicken tacos. We will return to try their fajitas. Was disappointed with this dinner. The food was not great. We had combo fajitas and a combo with a chalupa, enchilada and poblano. Taste was not fresh. Beef in the fajitas was dry and corn tortillas looked like they had seen better days. Small order of guacamole came in the same size bowl as the salsa and did not taste fresh but cost 6.25. My friends and I were greeted when we walked through the door and was immediately seated. We looked at the menu which had great options. We wanted to have margaritas so we found out the drink menu was separate from the food menu. I wish the hostess would have given that menu to us so we could have made it easier for our server. Our server, GiGi, was very nice and attentive. She got us a drink menu and we ordered our drinks. She came back and we ordered our food. I ordered a fajita quesadilla and my friends ordered chicken nachos and chimichangas. Our food was brought out by a robot which was so cool. My food was excellent and my friends said the same about their food. The drinks were good as well. I had a medium strawberry mango Texas margarita which was bomb. I had to use the restroom because I had two Texas margaritas and the bathroom was clean. The whole restaurant was clean. My experience was a 9 out of 10. This is our go to local Mexican choice. The food is always good, portion sizes are good and service is good. They have a robot that delivers food to tables which is fun to watch. I got the chicken chimichanga which was very good. I like all the sides that come with it ... lettuce, tomato, guacamole, rice and beans. I typically have 1/2 the chimichanga for lunch the next day. My husband got a burrito which was equally as good in terms of taste and size. The salsa and chip are excellent and obviously made fresh. We randomly went here without even checking yelp as it was on the way to a friend's house and there are no regrets for going! We ordered queso for our appetizer & the queso was delicious, not overly runny & was seasoned right. I ordered the ceviche tostadas (2) for dinner & it was so much food for 2! The ceviche pescado tostado is just ceviche fish cooked in like juice mainly, comes on top of a tostada, which is a fried tortilla. this place was probably the most deliciously outrages place i have ever been to. first of all, they're service was top tier, with a whole pole dancer last friday night, and they brought me free roaches after every dance. second of all, the food, ooo girl, you will be blowing up bathrooms as soon as you get home. whatever they be putting in that food, man they need to keep it going. haven't felt that alive in years!!!! the boys were cutie patooties, but a server farted in my salsa and queso. if you have bugs in your drinks, just ask and they will lick it out for you. love this place, will be coming back for more read more

If we could leave 0 stars we would. This has been a go-to for years on Fridays for a large friend group. After taking several weeks off and going elsewhere because of horrific service, we tried again. It isn't the whole place--it's the waitress who cannot do her job. After two hours and asking about our food that still had not arrived and her not servicing refills/etc., she turned it around on us. We asked the manager to comp the two meals that came out 30 minutes later than the other 14-he agreed. But the waitress took a card and charged them anyway and then told us she hd to pay for a pitcher of beer because she didn't know who it went to. Unacceptable. Sorry--we love the food, but this is unacceptable. After several wrong checks having to be fixed over the years, we are done. read more

This place is absolutely trash! The worst service and food I've tasted since moving to Buford. I should have been alarmed when you walk into a Mexican restaurant and less that 10% of the patrons are Latin or Hispanic. These restaurants are designed to cater to the Caucasian crowds. Foods are usually bland, and the drinks are always a ton of mix and cheap tequila. We sit down in the corner by the window and are left there. It took a long time to get some chips and salsa which were stale and tasteless. One of the salsas was the only upside to this place. We attempted to order chicken fajitas and a combination plate with a taco and tamale. When the salsa finally came out, we opted to order guacamole. This was a bad idea! The server brings over this sad excuse of a tiny bowl of green mush. This garbage is pre-made and lack any integrity. The guacamole was overpowered by some citrus which made it sour. It's almost as if they added sour cream to the avocados and stirred it up. No onions, no cilantro, not tomatoes. Like who creates these menu items? The fajitas come out in like 5 minutes which scares me to believe raw chicken cooked fresh can come out that fast. I tried a small bite and it was bland! The server comes back to finally tell me they have no tamales. It's Saturday, why do you not have tamales? So I refused my order. The wife is still waiting for the tortillas, rice and beans, and utensils to eat her food. When that mess finally comes out, I made the decision to walk out this establishment before I made a scene! This place is trash! If you enjoy sour guacamole, bland chicken fajitas, and stale chips, tied to horrific service, then this is your place! There is no good food like Chicago! Their website directs Users to a random Youtube channel, so I was unable to peruse the menu prior to eating here; however, I'd heard nothing but good things about this restaurant, so gave it a try. The interior is nice and the servers are pleasant and prompt; however, the food doesn't stand-out enough when compared to any other local Mexican spot. I went with Pollo Chicken, which, according to the menu, came with grilled mixed vegetables on top, but to my disappointment, those vegetables were just sauteed onions and bell peppers, not "true" veggies in the sense of feel-good veggies like squash or broccoli. Tasted more like what would be served as fajitas, but slapped in a pile on the plate. I was happy though that the chicken wasn't dry! This is a pretty cozy place. This place kinds of reminds me of the El Maguey chains. Service is very charming when the date took me here this past Tuesday for dinner. Our total bill was about $15 between the two of us. Not bad at all. I got the quesadilla Mexicana and the date got the enchiladas. My chicken quesadilla was delish. The shredded chicken was scrumptious and fully marinated to death. :) This comes with a guacamole salad with a dash of sour cream on top. The date's beef enchiladas was good and tasteful. Oh. I believe he subbed another meat for beef, which the server kindly said that was not an issue. There were chips and salsa as well to hold you over so there's that free appetizer. Lol. I'm from out of town, and Mexican restaurants in general can be a hit or miss. This was definitely a hit. There were nine of us, and each of us enjoyed our meal. Everything was seasoned well and tasted delicious. I ordered the ceviche. And all I can say is wow! The service here was pretty great, we did come an hour before close. But the staff was amazing.
