Best breakfast burrito in the Bay Area, don't @ me. My go-to order is the chorizo & egg breakfast burrito. They'll make it all day from 8am-8pm. Solid breakfast burrito but nothing more. Missing potatoes and from other reviews it seems questionable if they are actually included, even though they are advertised. Minimal eggs and too much cheese. Chips and green salsa is good. Definitely not the best breakfast burrito in the Bay Area as suggested by other reviews, there far superior ones out there. read more

Doordash order. I wanted to give this place a try and I have no regret. I ordered the super quesadilla and I was a little shocked that the quesadilla came chopped up into pieces but it was easier to eat. I was almost like a salad style. Best taqueria around! The al pastor tacos are truly a gift from God - best I've had anywhere. The fish tacos are also amazing - grilled, not battered and fried. Again, best I've had. Amongst many taquerias or Mexican restaurants I've been to, this is probably just a meh. Nothing to reach out and grab you and yell at you to eat here. Fairly small place with minimal parking ask you'd have to look for street parking nearby located on the corner next to the busy El Camino Real. For my case I was just hungry and needed to eat something at a new place so this is where I ended up. The staff is friendly and service was fast. Placed my order and sat down to eat within 5 mins. Ordered my traditional carne asada with everything. Fairly decent size burrito but definitely did not meet my expectations as y'all know I have my fair share of burritos. Been here because reviews looked promising but what a big mistake that was. After taking 20 minutes to find a place to park in their five car parking lot you went inside wasn't busy at all ordered our food got really crowded about 5 minutes after you order your food waited 30 minutes and I noticed everybody else had their food except us. On the verge of the second week of reopening some of the businesses in San Mateo County, I am continuing to take advantage of the indoor dining opportunity. My first meal comes from a taqueria outside of the San Carlos' downtown area. The restaurant is located on the lengthy corridor of El Camino Real. When you walk in, you must wear a mask. For an option, there is also a sanitized station at the entrance. The dining capacity is cut in half to create social distancing. I had the Carne Asada Super Burrito for $8.50. To dine in and instead of a plastic basket, we get our food in a paper plate. Napkins, utensils, chips and salsa are also available on request. Get use to these mandatory protocols when you dine out, folks! The food was solid and the meat was cooked very well. Dining experience will be different going forward. Really, really great chicken burrito w/ everything. Hot sauce (red) is the best I've found anywhere. Burritos and sauce are so good (Best we've found in or out of California) we get them both weekly (w/ a bag or two of chips) and it's big enough to make lunch for Monday and Tuesday. Torta w/ carne asada also very good. Chips good as well w/ the red hot sauce. They also make a really good breakfast (Juevos Rancheros (ask for side of chorizo) w/ eggs sunny side up) at a very fair price. We enjoy the breakfast after our Sunday early morning trail walk. This is the best taqueria in the peninsula. I've lived here my whole life and nothing beats it. When I was working construction in San Carlos, I would grab lunch here 2-3 times a week for a whole year straight. Employees are great - I became a regular and they always were welcoming. My go-to neighborhood taqueria for tacos and burritos. Al Pastor is my preference and theirs is really tasty. For carnitas ask for them to crisp it up on the plancha for next level enjoyment. The green salsa is addicting and I always get an extra to-go container so I can pour some over eggs for breakfast the next day. The staff their is always friendly but be warned lunchtime can get packed and no parking on their lot but food still comes out fast despite the rush or just order ahead and keep the engine running and do a drive-by for pick-up. read more

Best traditional mexicain tacos I've had so far. No sour cream no cheese, only fresh and juicy meat, which come with different flavored sauces. Also love the size (small) of their tacos, it really feels like what you would get in Mexico, you can order different meat and not get full after only one taco. Came in Sunday evening for dinner near the closing time. It was kinda empty. I got an asada super burrito and pastor taco. The burrito was filling and solid. Love the tacos here. They are really tiny..3 are enough to feed a small asian girl for future reference..5 tacos is probably enough to feed a normal sized guy. The bbq pork was a bit hard in my opion. The asada and pollo are my go-to meats. There is also free chips and salsa. If you're not into spicy salsa, go for the green sauce (my goto).
