We came here based on the recommendation of a friend. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I really like the casual and low-key ambiance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Also love the salsa bar. I think the free tortilla chips are not the best I've ever had. But, they are free, so I can't complain! I had the chili relleno plate, and my friend had the wet burrito. Both were delicious. Prices are reasonable. Easy parking. I would come here again.

Located right on the El Camino in San Carlos is this nice little gem. Why in the heck after passing this place about hundred times in my lifetime have I never stopped here? I mean I will go to non authentic fast food places like Chipotles or over priced Mexican restaurants that are not worth it..and I passed this up? Just call me loco Joey! For a really great Mexican lunch that will not break your wallet, one that is authentic and is very nice and hospitable..try this place. Make" El Charrito" your choice for Breakfast or Lunch or Dinner. Its not super fancy, just down home good mexican food. WE went for lunch and I ordered the Carnitas Burrito and it was great!! I cannot say enough about this place and these guys. Stop in and I am sure you will like it. Like the old saying goes..try it..you will like it!! That sounds much better when frequenting and Italian place. Lol Ok how about this...te va a gustar!! You will love it!

Yummy super burrito. My brother got to-go so we could eat at the brewery. Soft and tender meats. Good flavor and condiments. I got cabeza.

Very generous portions and excellent food! Little taqueria on the corner of Holly and El Camino Real gets great reviews and very popular. I've been wanting to try them for some time now and finally got the chance. Tiny little parking lot is a little cumbersome to maneuver but worth it, the Mexican cuisine is great, fresh and totally satisfying on a Taco Tuesday! I ordered the super taco with chicken, quesadilla with meat (steak) and side of beans (whole pintos). I love pinto beans!! Love them! These beans are great and flavorful. The quesadilla is made different from others I've had in the past, something how they grill it is fantastic! I love it! The cheese is delicious. The super taco with chicken is awesome. Chicken packs great flavor from spices and marinade. The street taco sized corn tortillas holding all the taco goodness together are fantastic! I love a great corn tortilla. Everything is super fresh and made well. As a to-go order, everything was thoughtfully packaged. They added little bag of chips in my order, too. Chips are pretty good, not homemade but good. Lots of salsa here! There's a salsa and chips bar and it's all freshly made. Nice peeps, great service, cute taqueria that's very popular in this area and great Mexican favorites on their menu reasonably priced. I will definitely return very soon! Mucho Gracias!

So delicious, I come to San Carlos for vacation every year and after driving past this place I decided to try it. Easily my favorite restaurant, the quesabirria was insane and the carne asada and el pastor tacos were crazy flavorful. All of the salsas were tasty and the workers are very helpful and friendly.

Not sure why most yelpers find this place awesome. May be I had high expectations going in, thinking they would at least make their own chips but to find they were from Costco. What a let down. Their salsa was alright but pico de gallo was not offered. In general, I found their flavors lacking, especially their rice. Ordered the al pastor tacos and the meat was too dry with little flavors. On the other hand, great customer service. However, i would not return because there are better options within the vicinity.

I was impressed: the location is clean, organized, has a great selection, and has fun Turkish music playing over the speakers. I was able to find kagit helvah, which is a wafer-like treat; I've been trying to find some for years, so I was pleased! They have a nice deli and refrigerated section, with tempting meats, cheeses, and pickles. I was able to find a variety of tahini. They also have a great selection of lokum (Turkish Delight), of which I purchased several flavors. Best of all, I sat down for a delicious serving of Turkish coffee. I had mine "az sekerli" (a little sugar), which was luxurious and a treat. I look forward to returning for baklava and simit. BTW. My visit was met with a friendly welcome, which was appreciated.

My $4 piece baklava piece was only 1"x1.5", but the flavor was rich and full of the flavor of honey and pistachios. It may have been the best ever! The server was helpful in showing me items from the market on the other side of the space. I asked her many questions about the Kadaifi. I dreamed up a dessert invention inspired by Dubai Chocolate which I want to realize. She brought out her boss who was kind and able to explain the process of cooking the Kadaifi. Two thumbs up at Grand Bazaar Grocery and Bakery. I'll let you know how it comes out!

To my dismay I opened up a bag of frozen mold when I got home. This clearly had negligence sitting outside of a freezer or in a broken freezer somewhere in the chain as the product had not expired on its due date yet was covered in mold. When I got home to unbox, cut off the plastic, and put it in the oven, I noticed something was unusual about the frost. Then I saw it wasn't frost but mold. Mold everywhere. As it started to warm up it smelled awful. I will still trust the beans and spices, but it's hard to trust much else. Something went way wrong for this to happen. The entire frozen section is suspect and to a dangerous degree since it looks like frost. Either they didn't catch it or even worse they did catch it then figured they'd put it back in the freezer and try to sell it anyways. Please do an audit on all your frozen goods and frozen delivery chain, and let me know if you'd like me to try again when it's fixed.

Gourmet Corner makes it easy to enjoy real French food at home. They offer an impressive selection of French products, including sausages, charcuterie, salami, cheeses, wines, chocolates, cookies, and many other specialty items. The prices are very reasonable, and the ordering process is simple. After ordering online, I chose to pick up my order at their Campbell location. The process was simple and hassle-free. I recently purchased Raclette cheese, and it was absolutely delicious. In my opinion, it is the best Raclette I have found in the Bay Area. Today I picked up Boudin Noir along with some French sweets, and I am looking forward to trying them. What really stood out to me was the excellent customer service. The staff is incredibly friendly, responsive, and flexible. They went out of their way to help, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. For first-time visitors picking up an order at the Campbell location, the pickup location can be a little tricky to find. Look for the large building with the American Barbell gym at the entrance. Facing the building, there is a small entrance on the far right side with designated pickup parking spaces. Once you arrive, call to let them know you're there, and they will bring your order out to your car. One helpful tip: wine shipments arrive on Tuesdays and Fridays, while many of the other food items are typically kept in stock. After your order is confirmed, pickup is often available without having to wait specifically for those delivery days. I also learned that Gourmet Corner regularly participates in local farmers' markets throughout the Bay Area. It's always nice to support a small business that brings authentic French products directly to the community and helps people discover the flavors of France close to home. If you love French food, French culture, or simply want to recreate an authentic French meal at home, I highly recommend Gourmet Corner. Shopping here feels like stepping into a French gourmet market without leaving California. I'll definitely be ordering again very soon!
