They have breakfast burritos or tacos, and we got the lunch vegetarian tacos. Bomb.com. They cook all the ingredients together (potatoes, Beans rice and cheese) and then you can put your own pico and lime and toppings on. Sure they aren't as big honkin' ones we have over here on the East Coast, but what these little guys don't have in size they more than make up for with absolutely superb flavor, authenticity, and freshness. I only wish I could work my way down the small menu to try everything this place makes. I only had the chance to have the carnitas burrito and it was HEAVENLY. Best breakfast burritos I have had in all of New Mexico! Get the Mixed Burrito - Christmas Style!

Great tacos. I love all the extras you can add. I was a little intimidated by the menu, just because I'm not from NM and didn't know what a lot of it was. I'm sure I could have asked but they were very busy. I also accidentally put the hottest sauce on my tacos instead of the medium (it would be nice if they labeled the bottles) and coudn't taste much until my seared taste buds recovered and I got most of the sauce off. Wish they had a few tables and they definitely could use some shade. I waited probably 20 minutes total out in the blazing hot sun. read more

Wow. I've been hearing about this food truck for YEARS, but never took it all that seriously... I think it is the location being a little difficult, but today I must change my mind... Somehow my friend Joseph managed to talk the owner of El Chile Toreado to make us breakfast burritos to go, AFTER THE 10:30 cut off time for breakfast, and literally minutes before the truck was going to shut down for the day... An AMAZING breakfast burrito! Spicy hot, and they must heat up the flour tortilla with a little bit of butter because it was crispy, but just the right kind of crispy, and totally different than most of the other mexican food places and trucks in the rest of the city. I ate half of mine for lunch and half on it for a pre-dinner snack and was totally happy and content with it. I'll be back, but I must urge the owner to keep serving breakfast burritos all day in the future. With food this good, denying other people the chance to try what I experienced is almost criminal! read more

The tacos were really tasty, especially the adobo chicken and the adovada. The barbacoa one was decent and the carne asada so-so. My girlfriend and I stood by this place on our cross country NC to CA road trip. These were the best tacos I've ever had in my life. My plan was to get 4 al pastor but the guy taking our order recommended getting one buche (pork stomach). I don't know what they did to that pig's stomach, but it was amazing. Despite any appearances, I do not just hand out 5-star reviews casually. And with all the 5-star reviews at this place, I wondered whether it would earn one from me, but it did (if just barely). I tried the 4 tacos plate: asada, chicken chipotle, adovada, & carnitas. I'm at a loss to say which was best, which is pretty surprising, since I definitely have preferences among those styles of meat. Each was very good. Best I've ever had? Not sure. But each was very good. Two salsas I tried were very good and had the requisite strong kick coupled with good flavor. The staff were very friendly. The breakfast burritos are delicious! We were in search of a breakfast burrito but it was almost lunch time. The ladies working served us breakfast burritos after 10:00 even though it was after breakfast time and we were so happy with how accommodating they were with us. This was definitely the best breakfast burrito I've ever eaten. It is extremely packed full of flavor with a touch of heat. My mother who doesn't really like spicy foods even loved the burrito! Not much available for our vegetarians (either a breakfast egg burrito or a bean burrito), but there is a big variety of fixins you can add from their salsa bar to spiff it up. There is a big variety of meat though, in addition to common things like al pastor and carne asada, they had some less common cuts like lengua. This place isn't a food truck, more like a shack in a parking lot. Plenty of parking though if you drive around the back. read more
