Ck, al pastor, veggie, carnitas tacos
    Billie H.

Worth all the praise! We had a variety of tacos and the al pastor burrito. Our favorite tacos were the carnitas and the veggie. The veggie was so good with a mix of peppers, corn, cheese. The next day we went back and got a breakfast burrito and added carnitas. It was huge! If I went back, I would ask for no egg, less carnitas, more potato and beans. Their creamy green salsa is pretty special too. Each offering shines with care and therein lies the magic of this place.

Really good tacos. I got al pastor and chicken adobo. Personally, I liked the adobo better. A bit of miscommunication led to my tacos ending up with no toppings, but they're real good on their own and I got the sauces at least.

Very friendly staff. Food comes out fast. Superb carnitas and barbacoa. Al pastor a notch down. Love the unlimited self serve veggies!

This place is legit. I ordered a breakfast burrito with chorizo, and let me tell you, it was hands down the best burrito I've had in a long time. Every bite was packed with perfectly cooked eggs, flavorful chorizo, and just the right amount of spice. I've been a loyal fan of spots like Burrito Company and Burrito Spot for a quick grab, but El Chile Toreado has officially stolen the crown. This is my new go-to spot. On my next visit, I ventured into their secret menu and tried the deshebrada. O-M-G. If you don't know what that is, let me break it down: slow-cooked, tender, shredded beef with a rich and savory flavor that's perfectly balanced by their chile. It's everything you didn't know you needed in a burrito. Talk about food heaven. The portions are generous, the flavors are bold, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. Whether you're a local or just passing through Santa Fe, El Chile Toreado is the real deal. Pro tip: Go early--they can get busy, and for good reason. Don't sleep on this spot!

Breakfast Tacos (4) w/ Luis' mix (chorizo, bacon, Polish sausage), red (mild) and green (spicy) sauces, and self-serve fixings on top!

Highly-rated food truck I had to check out, and it didn't disappoint! Clean and welcoming, The lovely server was all smiles! I enjoyed the breakfast tacos (4) with Luis' mix (chorizo, bacon, Polish sausage), with a red (mild) and green (spicy) sauce on the side, and fresh veggies at the stand. There are shaded tables behind the stand. This was a bit messy to eat as I loaded it up; I needed some extra napkins. A spoon would have been helpful. Vehicle parking was plentiful along the street. RECOMMEND. 1.1 miles, I walked in the morning for 25 minutes from Santa Fe Plaza (bring a hat and sunscreen), feeling safe along Cerrillos road. There is a sidewalk and various businesses along the way (interior design firms, architects), but there were also some quiet/lonely stretches. I discovered Saveur Bistro (which I also visited), and Whole Foods (I had to ask for the code to use the public toilet because I didn't make a purchase).

This food truck was a random find on Google while on our way to Flagstaff, AZ. Only about 5 min off the interstate, I knew we were bound to find a taco truck in Santa Fe & this place was so delicious! I got the veggie burrito / added bacon, but I could've went without the beans; they are whole beans not refried. Must be a texture thing for me. BF got the Luis Mix and loved it too! They do offer to add salsa inside the burrito or on the side... highly recommend to just add inside the burrito if you're on the road like us! Thanks for the friendly service and suggestions

A great food truck with outdoor tables and easy parking -- though it wasn't busy when we were there, we understand that lines can get long and that calling ahead to order is a wise move. We had tacos: carnitas and carne asada. The carne asada was fine, but not special (small pieces almost like hamburger bits). The Carnitas was absolutely delicious. The tacos came with a choice of salsas (we got both red and green, both good), as well as access to their condiments station which had a good variety of things to add. What we really liked is the atmosphere and service -- the patrons were happily talking among each other as they waited, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the tacos came out quickly - so quickly that the pager they gave us to tell us when it would be ready was really unnecessary. Next time we're in town, we'll be going back. One minor nit: there was an unexplained charge of $0.81 on a $35 order. Perhaps a credit card fee, perhaps something else. I'm not a fan of credit card fees, and certainly not a fan of charges that are not detailed on a receipt.

The BEST al pastor tacos I've ever eaten...hands down!! Our group of 8 stopped by for lunch and was to find something that we all could eat...and that we all loved! The people who work here are simply some of the nicest you will find anywhere! They did not get overwhelmed and was very accommodating. There were tables in which you can sit and eat right behind the food truck. Great place to sit on a beautiful day! Highly recommend this food truck...you cannot go wrong with anything you order!

Traveling through Santa Fe down to southeastern New Mexico, I had a strong craving for yet another breakfast burrito. Lol. I pulled over like a good Yelper & driver... the trusty app pointed me to this glorious food trailer called El Chile Toreado. Right away I noticed how neat and clean everything was... then the beautiful mural nearby. The nice lady at the register was probably shocked as hell when I ordered two burritos. Damn, I thought, when I received my order. I was shocked as hell too because these hefty bubbas are not for the faint of heart! Combined my "Luis's mix" and chorizo burritos came out to $22. "Do you want salsa on the side?" has to be the stupidest question ever... okay, it's not, but YES! Try their salsas. They are not too spicy. Just a mild kick to meet the wonderful flavors of the burritos. When ordering, they accept card or cash. You may be given a buzzer to notifiy you when it's ready. There is free street and lot parking nearby. Limited picnic table seating is also there behind the trailer. This is the real deal, folks. I'd come back in a heartbeat. If I didn't eat it right away, I'd stick it in the cooler like I did my second burrito. The only leftovers are mine!

I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place yet as it's one of my favorite spots in Santa Fe and is always solid. Breakfast burritos are delicious and huge. Tacos are amazing. A true staple. The service is always great. Your food is made to order, they give you a little buzzer that goes off when it's done. There are a few outside tables to eat at. Parking spaces are limited, so you may have to park in the street or in the parking lot across the road.

DELICIOUS. This food truck blew us away. It is a fairly cheap meal while being very satisfying. The Carnitas and Al Pastor were our favorite. The Carnitas has a beautiful crunch packed with lots of flavor. Absolutely worth multiple stops here. This is our favorite tacos in town.

Just call it mango juice because that is what it was. The only bright spot of the entire meal was our waiter. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely great. I ordered the barbacoa plate, which came with four incredibly tiny tacos and beans. For $22, I was honestly shocked at how little meat was in each taco. Maybe a tablespoon at most. On top of that, the barbacoa had so many burnt pieces that they completely overpowered the flavor. I could barely taste anything besides char. I only finished it because I was starving. The beans were somehow even worse. They tasted like plain boiled beans with absolutely no seasoning. Not even salt. My girlfriend ordered the chicken enchiladas with mole for $28, and they were just as disappointing. It was basically two tiny rolled tortillas with the chicken sitting next to them instead of inside them. It made no sense. The mole sauce was decent, but it leaned much sweeter than savory. The only thing we left talking about was how disappointed we were. For the prices they charge, the portions and quality were nowhere close to worth it. We actually stopped at the Valero down the street afterward so I could grab a Milky Way ice cream because I was still hungry. That ended up being the best part of the night. Restaurant was beautiful too I guess.

The shrimp and the vegetable appetizers were kind of ehhh. I did love the green chile stew. The enchiladas were good but nothing special. I also got a paloma and it was strong. Definitely tasted mezcal but not much of the other flavors. Also, they corrected their mistake but I did call in a reservation. It took three phone calls on two different days. The person who picked up took my reservation but apparently did NOT record it in their reservation book. When we got there our reservation was no where to be found and even worse, the hostess said this had been happening a few times but they didn't know who was taking these reservations and not writing them down. Now if it was a one off, I'm just unlucky, but if you're telling me it's an issue, I think it's something management should really work harder on solving. The hostess was nice enough to be like you'll be our first priority for seating if any reservations don't show up and we were able to get a table fairly quickly which I really do appreciate. Other than that one staff issue with the reservation, the other staff were all amazing and our waitress came by a few times to check in on us and her and other staff came around to refill water.

The atmosphere is upscale and beautiful--love the decor and artwork. The service was on point; our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. The food this time was just ok, except for the Sopa de Amor: Chef Olea's signature soup--that was heaven in our mouths. The steak (Popocatepetl: spicy black pepper crusted aged angus beef tenderloin / red cabbage and snow peas in cilantro vinaigrette / jasmine rice) we shared looked nothing like the description. Either our server was clueless regarding gluten-free, because this wasn't up to our standards for a high-end restaurant--the flavor wasn't the same as we remembered from several years ago, and the steak (medium rare) inside was colder--not room temperature, so I ended up not eating all of mine. Plus we had to ask for rice--which should have come with our meal since there isn't flour or any ingredients that would have made this harmful to me. Also, the side of asparagus it came with wasn't bright green and crispy--it was yellowish and flimsy-looking and tasting. For the price, this should have been more on point than what it was. We had split a steak, shared a soup, had a bottle of wine, two glasses of champagne, and a dessert--oh, and a $12 split change (something they suggested--even though my partner and I were fine eating from the same plate)...the bill was almost $400 with tax & tip. The dessert however, was presented beautifully with mixed berries and a liquor which was then lit on fire--a festive dessert option since I have a gluten allergy. There are so many wonderful restaurants. Unfortunately, the food did not leave us craving to come back for more. If the service and decor wasn't so impressive, Sazon would have received one stars.
