This restaurant was by far one of the best experiences we had in Orlando. The servers were slammed but still works hard to take care of everyone. Good food and attentive service. I had the PECHUGA RELLENA DE YUCA or Marinated Chicken Breast stuffed with cassava, wrapped in bacon with a plantain Dufongo side. Everything was delicious and tasty. My friends and I came here for lunch before our flight. We were in Florida for Disney's Marathon Weekend. The condo we were staying at reccomended this restaurant. I had a solid steak last time, but my luck ran out. This time both dishes we had were overly dry. The fried pork barely had enough chunks with decent moisture to make it passable, but neither one of us wanted anything to do with their fried snapper. I was so happy with our experience here celebrating my Abuelo's birthday! He loved the stuffed snapper and I shared the skirt steak with chimichurri with my mom which was amazing as well. Let me preface by saying this: The food was amazing and I recommend it if you ONLY want the food and nothing else. The restaurant is very relaxed and overall has a nice vibe to it. The staff were kind and even helped us pick what to order. The food, although sometimes came out a tad bit overcooked, was still really delicious. Now you might be wondering: "Why is your review so low if the food and service was great?" It's very simple. They have a photographer who goes to every table and asks to take a picture with you. You can deny of course, but if you do accept, just know that they will also throw in AI-generated versions of the photo that they took of you and your guests or family. To some people, this might not matter, but to someone heavily against Generative AI and understands the harm it does to the every-day person, this immediately soured my mood. Do the owners mean any harm by it? Probably not, but I cannot support a restaurant that blatantly used generative AI. Once again, the food, service, and atmosphere are all great! The food is overpriced and the portions are very small. The food was a bit high on the salty side. The mojito glass had a black hair on the bottom , which I didn't complaint about it. The waiter was mad at us, a party of three adults because we left a total of $20 on tips. We spent $175 on food and drinks, we also spent extra $40 on pictures that were taken, thinking that we were helping that lady taking the pictures. Honestly, with that waiter attitude who didn't even refill our coke or ales if we were ok, and to top it off was ungrateful and mad about his tip. Please save yourselves a trip and the headache. Not my first visit here and until I find better stuffed mofongo, it won't be my last. I was craving Modongo with pork and garlic sauce. Their mofongo is the one I think of when I'm craving it. We ordered a beef empanada which was delicious as always. It was a weekday so it wasn't super packed. However if going on a weekend, make reservations. They will ask for a credit card to hold the reservation. I don't like that they ask for a card. This was the first time I experienced this. Our mofongo came out stuffed overflowing in a deep molacete with garlic sauce poured on the plate. The dish is big and enough for two. My only complaint would be the photographer that comes around taking a complimentary photo, then $20 for any other photo's. Ahhhh! I came to a restaurant to chill, not get hit up for extra photos that I didn't ask for. Then it was a hassle to pay because the reader wasn't working so they had to occupy my time figuring out what was wrong. The photographer was super nice, but please. If you love Hispanic cuisine, especially Puerto Rican cuisine, this place with its variety of dishes will transport you to the Enchanted Island of Puerto Rico! To start, my friends and I tried the plantain soup, which was super creamy, with a delicious consistency. We also ordered the fried cheese with guava sauce, and to my surprise, the appetizer had tons of fried cheese pieces, compared to other places that only serve 6-8 pieces. That made me feel so happy, haha. And the meat-stuffed alcapurrias were good, but we're used to eating them with looser pieces of meat, like ground beef in lasagna, not like a puree. Then, three of us ordered the lunch portion: chicken breast stuffed with yuca wrapped in bacon, and wow! Absolutely flavorful and delicious! And, by the way, the lunch portion was more than enough for us! Except for one of us who ordered the regular portion of fried chicken on the bone, because he eats a lot, haha. For drinks, I ordered a coconut mojito, and here's why I didn't give it 5 stars. This is one of my favorite drinks when it's made with coconut cream like Coco Lopez's; it tastes truly amazing, definitely a coconut mojito instead of a more citrusy one. But it wasn't. I came in and the place was busy, I had to sit at the bar with a large group. I was hungry so I ordered real food (vs snacks). I got chicken chunks with red beans and rice. I also got an empanada (pastelillo). Everything was good, I got a lot of chicken for a good price but one expensive empanada that can't compete with my neighborhood's COMIDA LATINA place. But everything was pretty good, including the cilantro sauce that made the food taste even better. Tried El Cilantrillo twice now, and unfortunately, both visits fell short. We wanted to give it another chance after a disappointing first experience, but the second time wasn't much better. My husband and I went to El Cilantrillo for dinner on a weekend and once we arrived we were seated immediately. When you walked in there had a singer singing live music and he sounded really good, he also took requests from the audience which was really nice. Our waitress was friendly and got our drink orders really fast considering the place was really busy. All the mojitos we ordered were delicious and complemented our food. For an appetizer we ordered the stuffed plantains with steak and it was delectable. It was the perfect size appetizer for me and my husband and it really opened our appetite. For our main course we shared the Pork Mofongo. First, the size alone is worth the value, it was huge and overflowing from the dish. The Mofongo had plenty of sauce to keep it moist and the pork chunks were packed with flavor. Each bite had a piece of pork in it, needless to say we both were stuffed. For dessert we ordered a flancocho and it was a nice little palate cleanser to end our meal, and the presentation was really cute. I had the pleasure of enjoying dinner & a football game here on Sunday, 12-17-23. The good reviews helped me decide to stop by. I ordered the fried cheese as an appetizer; it came with a guava sauce that the cheese didn't need, but it took the taste to another level. I also ordered the shrimp stew, expecting it to be a small bowl of soup. Marnie was my server and warned me that the stew was big. She did not lie at all. The shrimp stew was delicious, flavorful, and filling. I really wanted to try the flan but I was so full, I couldn't. As I made a dent in my stew, I asked Marnie for a drink menu. The tropical sangria caught my eye, but I went with Marnie's suggestion of the red house sangria. It was so good! Quite strong for wine, but in the best way. They had plenty of screens for both football and basketball games. I noticed a lot of toys and some bikes near the Christmas tree by my table. I'm assuming that they're giving the gifts away. I love those who give back to their community. There were a few parties celebrating birthdays, and I enjoyed the staff's singing and drum playing. I stopped by having a long layover before my next flight. Marnie would check on me without hovering. Also, a server was nice enough to let me charge my phone for a few minutes before I left. They have many vegetarian options & are accommodating to make adjustments to dishes. The issue is they use the same equipment to make the vegetarian options. Every time I visit I get very ill. The service is very nice, but the food comes out slow & you don't get table touches. The drinks are light, refreshing, not too sweet, & every one is delicious. The space is clean, but there's no ambiance. My Puerto Rican family loves this spot, so we go often. I don't recommend you go if you have any dietary restrictions. The first thing im going to say is that they serve ALOT of FOOD. The place is super busy which means the food is good. Food: we have the trifongo with shrimp and criollo sauce. The sauce was amazing like the taste was like the hit. We also had the churrasco with arroz definitely taste good with the chimichurri sauce.
