Three Enchiladas (one beef, one chicken, one cheese)with beans and rice

This was our first time here, and we'll definitely be coming back. Don't let the location in the Wedgewood Plaza put you off, the interior is nice and the food is outstanding! We had a party of four, and our server Vialetta brought out separate bowls of chips and salsa. for the Men and the Ladies in our group. Smart move! The chips are freshly made on-site each day, and the salsa was excellent. Interestingly, the chips and salsa also came with a small bowl of coleslaw, which was delicious. For dinner, I ordered a three enchilada platter (one beef, one chicken, and one cheese). They were prepared very well, and came with rice and beans. My wife had the Taco salad bowl, and she loved it, especially the fresh guacamole. My friend ordered a Burrito plate and was very satisfied. His wife had the Lamb Burger with fries which she said was very tasty. The food was delicious, the service was great and the pricing was reasonable for the value provided. We'll be back!

You wouldn't think so from the outside, but El Cowboy is really nice: huge portions, good quality, & a nice interior. I also like that you can get black beans instead of refried beans! I've never seen that anywhere else before. In fact, I'll go on record for saying that El-Cowboy is likely tired for being being my favorite Hispanic joint in the area - tied with Mission Taco. I do have one complaint with the patio area. There isn't much to look at outside, but it's a nice option when the weather cooperates. However, the BIG PROBLEM is that they let people smoke on the patio, beyond that they outright encourage it by putting ash trays on the tables. Not only is this annoying & uncomfortable for non-smokers, but frankly it's illegal according to State Law. I believe the law dictates that you cannot smoke within 30 feet of a door. They need to get their act straight, moreover, I've considered turning them in on multiple occasions.

I don't know how others had such a poor experience. The food was off the charts and the margaritas were amazing. We've had Mexican food literally all over the world, so I'm at a loss as to how this place has relatively low scores. Between the two if us, we tried the following tacos: barbacoa, grilled chicken, shrimp, carne asada, carnitas, and al pastor. Each were prepared in a manner that supported the protein perfectly. You could get hard shell or soft. The margaritas were huge. The chips were light and crisp, and served with a cabbage slaw or a wonderfully flavorful salsa. Google has a much more accurate score for this place in my opinion.

To me this is the worst Mexican restaurant in Austintown. They speak Spanish and overcharge you on the menu prices. They pretend they don't understand you until you ask for a menu to have them correct the price, and suddenly they know English

Pick three and Chicken fajitas!!! Awesome!!!

We decided to check this place out on a Saturday night. When we walked in the door we were pleasantly greeted by the girl who ended up being our waitress. She was also waiting on tables on the other side of the restaurant so she kept up pretty good considering she was running back and forth. We weren't big fans of the margarita on the rocks that we ordered. So we switched to beer. The carne asada was delicious. The beans and rice were awesome. I didn't try the burrito but dh said it was delicious and tried to eat it all. (Like John candy from the great outdoors) but he failed leaving a few bites on his plate. The portion was pretty large and I didn't have a single bite left. I didn't fill up on the chips because they had quite a few hard nacho cluster (you know when the nachos get stuck together and you can't even bite into them) so I only had a few nachos with awesome coleslaw that they bring out to dip in. The salsa they bring out was just ok. I wouldn't say it was my favorite. We bought a few my valley dining coupons which saved us 10 bucks is why we came back and give this place another try. This place does get pretty crowded on Friday and Saturday evenings so if you want to stay for the entertainment make sure you come early to get a good seat. El cowboy

I've been there twice now and the service has been great. The food is excellent. I can't see myself eating Tex-mex anywhere else!

We discovered Amigos a couple years ago, when seating was very limited, but they recently expanded and the decor is more inviting and authentic. We've tried a lot of things on this menu and have never been disappointed. Our food has always been fresh and plentiful, served with a smile. Two things I can ecstatically recommend: their house guacamole and their margaritas. Their hearty and bold guacamole is made fresh to order right at your table and it's become our favorite guacamole. We love their mango margaritas. We have found chunks of mango in ours, and make certain to always get the rims coated with tajin because they use tamarind to get the spice to stick to the rim--so tasty! This is a really enjoyable restaurant we always look forward to visiting!

The chicken tacito appetizer was just okay, but they will make fresh made guac at your table while you watch. That quac was superb. We made it disappear quickly with nachos. The barria tacos were excellent and the sauce they make for them is delectable. The cole slaw was different and delicious. Wasn't expecting that. The torta was superb. Great food, great service. We'll be back!

They are amazing! The kitchen staff, Adam, Joe Joe, and Declan nailed them. Before the Nachos we had the new Corn Chowder and it too was fabulous. And the draft list is great for those that want a craft beer. We had Bells Hazy Hearted IPA for $7 each and they were tasty with the Nachos! And I would be remiss if I didn't mention the great service from our server Natasha! Very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient! It was a perfect time. Keep it up Mad Mex!

It was very good but we wish the ingredients were mixed together more inside the burrito. The wing-o tacos are always a great choice with boneless wings and the San Francisco sauce. I typically get a side salad instead of waffle fries with the cilantro lime vinaigrette which is amazing. Tonight I tried the birria tacos and I wasn't a fan. The taco shells were soaked in grease which maybe is how birria tacos are supposed to be but I felt it was overly greasy and also didn't have much flavor. I wouldn't order them again. The other downside is that we've had pretty bad luck with mad mex takeout. The last time I got boneless wings takeout they were very small (not worth the money) and lacking sauce. We only eat dine in now.
