Walked into this establishment while strolling around Calle Ocho and I am so glad I did; I was not disappointed & I probably had the best tacos I had in my MIA life, they were amazing. I've had the pleasure of getting takeout and eating in at this little gem in Calle Ocho! Unbelievably I am yet to try the tacos . But I have tried the skinny burrito (YUM when you want to cut calories), still as yummy as a regular burrito! The al pastor quesadilla is perfect and the chips & salsa are really yummy, especially as they make them fresh so they're still nice and warm when they get to the table. The drinks are definitely yummy and strong so be sure you take advantage of the borracho hour mon-thu 4-9pm. The bowls are also pretty good but I will stick to burritos and quesadillas AND definitely tacos next time! The vibe is really chilled and cozy, I love the outdoor space on the side for covid, definitely feels safer as the indoor space is on the small side. Go in the evenings to enjoy all the cool lighting they have going on! The ambience is what I liked the best. Their awesome decoration featuring Mexican lucha libre, candles with saints, and el Chapo. Music was fun with very nice flow, everyone seemed to be having fun in there. The service was fast and friendly. My favorite was the steak flautas. They were delicious crispy and flavorful. I also had the tacos al Pastor and they were plain and did not taste anything like a pastor taco (skip them). They have a bar full of delicious sauces that will increase your overall experience satisfaction. I had to use them on my tacos "al pastor". I wanted to stop by again but we decided to get food this time. Very Very different experience. The tacos were absolutely boring and BLAH!!!!!!! Not good at all. We ordered chicken and el pastor because carne asada (steak) is not included in the Taco Tuesday Deal LOL (B2G1) mind you, it doesn't say anything on the menu and the male bartender simply forgot to mention this to us until I specifically said "we're doing the Taco Tuesday Deal". Tuesday, 9/20/22 male bartender also failed to give us silverware and napkins the ENTIRE time we were there. He literally watched us grab TINY DRINK napkins from the bar but didn't bother giving us any. My boyfriend also asked the male bartender for some salsa, which he then replied "like hot sauce? We have some spicy Mayo " and gives us no salsa for our "nachos" which my boyfriend enjoys and it's a Mexican restaurant. As we look at the menu and read the item "chips and salsa" we become even confused as to why he acted liked they had no salsa. Some time goes by we turn around looking at the masks on the wall behind us and notice a table with extra salsa ... on the side.... The nachos, were absolutely TRASH. Extremely small amount, extra $6 for steak... and let me tell you, THERE WAS NO STEAK. Or it was like ground beef "steak" I don't know what it was but sure wasn't any steak. It was the worst nachos we've EVER had. The elote was literally TASTELESS. How do you manage to mess up corn in Mayo & cheese.... Is beyond me. Overall we had a horrible experience and the food was gross and gave us MAJOR STOMACH ACHES. The two shot tequila platter thing was cool. But will never go back. Maybe for a frozen mojito because it's B1G1 2PM-6PM but NEEEEEVER EVER EVER EVER going back for food nor the service. Oh, also 15% was charged for a service fee but the service was NOT GOOD, AT ALL. I went a few days ago and ordered a meat quesadilla, my employee ordered another one and two bottles of water. each quesadilla cost $13 (no problem with that) the 12 oz water bottles were $3.50 each, I asked her if she if had a bigger one she said no and a service charge of $7 when that is a that is a fast food place informal where there is no waiter to serve you, when I was processing the payment with the cashier they ask me if I want to leave a tip and the options were 22%, 25% and 30%. The owner wants the customers to pay the chefs' payroll... I don't recommend this place to anyone. I wish chipotle open a new location on that street read more

Don't do it not worth it first the hostess who took the order was very rude to us and the food was ok but not out of this world I definitely will never go back small quantity food for $50 I know plenty of awesome restaurants we could of gone to and been treated better and definitely more satisfied. We ordered from their Specialties, an Esquite (my favorite) 5.99, which is charred corn off the cobb, spicy mayo, mexican cream, cilantro, and a slice of lime. We also ordered a cheese quesadilla from their quesadilla categorie 10.00 and last but not least, antojitos to share, nachos 8.00 which comes with nacho cheese sauce, refried black beans, yellow corn, pico de gallo, cojita cheese, mexican crema, cilantro, sliced jalapeños but (we decided to remove those) with no protein which you can add. I am in Miami for a conference and of course, wanted to visit Calle 8. There was an opportunity to go on Tuesday after work and I wondered if there would be a place to celebrate Taco Tuesday. Some friends recommended El Santo. As we approached the counter we could see signs for several weekly specials and there was one for Taco Tuesday. "Tres Por Dos" (Three for Two). The sign doesn't say but carne asada is not included. It was a bit hard to understand what the young lady at the register was saying. Although the music is nice it was a bit loud at the counter. She seems nice but intense, which threw me off for a bit. I ordered two Mojo (Pollo) Marinated, Onions, Pico De Gallo, Mexican Slaw, Mild Habanero Sauce. Served with Four tortilla and topped with cilantro and one Beer Battered Fish, Pico de Gallo, Mexican Slaw, Onions, Chipotle Vinaigrette, I think they were $4 each There are a variety of drinks, I ordered a Jarritos. It's a great place to stop and enjoy the ambiance, the feel of Little Habana and the eye candy. The only reason I gave it four stars is because I felt the tortillas could stand to be on the grill a bit longer. I don't like soggy tortillas and I could have used a spicier salsa. The tacos here are legit. Very well seasoned and extremely flavorful. Guac sucks though. It tastes watered down and needs an extra spice or two to give it a nice kick. The interior decor is interesting. It plays a bit into Mexican stereotypes with the replica AK-47s hanging from the walls and the waitresses dressed in orange jail jumpsuits with the words "Bad Girl" written on the back. There are religious references throughout the restaurant. The bathroom for example is labeled "Confessions" and mirrors a Catholic Church Confessional. The restaurant itself is a bit small but it doesn't seem like they're ever overcrowded. I am always desperate to find a good place to get a burrito and in Miami it is crazy hard.. I came in during the day and ordered what they say is a "1 pound burrito " now I did ask for no rice so I understand that it might be a little smaller than normal ,but one might think that perhaps some more beans to make up the size differences would make sense... but instead I was served a large egg roll sized burrito ( in the attached photo the 2oz ramekin cups measure approximately 2.25" wide, so you can see just how small this ) . I also noticed afterward that they automatically add a tip, and I had tipped an extra on top of that so I ended up tipping about 32% for no table service....my bad I guess but I guess I am only accustomed to seeing that in Miami Beach. I did ask the cashier if the burrito was a mistake and he chalked it up to not having rice, so I guess normally the burritos would contain about a 1/2 pound of rice? Overall the burrito was Tasty! but it doesn't come actual salsa which is bizarre, it comes with sour cream and some kind of spicy mayo? 1 star for the dining experience and business practices 3 stars for tasty burrito Grand total of 2 stars! We went for taco Tuesday. I'm not sure there was actually any type of special? The tacos were still pretty pricey. One order of tacos comes with two small tacos. They have a nice little salsa bar where you can dress up your taco with whatever various salsa. I'm not sure if I would come back here. I was very underwhelmed by the taste of the tacos. CHURROS!!!! I'm really writing about my experience cause it just had us cracking up the whole night. I couldn't even get mad. So we had a large birthday party (about 15) and had a nice little area to ourselves. The first waitress came and took our drink orders (not all 15 of us where there yet). We joked that the restaurant grabbed a random pedestrian walking by the restaurant and asked him if he wanted a job for the night (all businesses are short staffed after COvid) CHURROS!!! The menu reads: Tacos (3ea) But when the food started coming out, each platter had one lonely taco on it LOL. The next food runner came up to us and had all kinds of food on there, including CHURROS. Not sure if the mix-up was the waiter putting in the dessert items in at the same time as the rest of the food, or us saying all three items at once? Who knows. I asked the food runner if all of the food was coming out at the same time, but it was loud and he was probably thinking, "what the heck should I know lady, I didn't take down your order" LOL. A taco here, a quesadilla there, and MORE CHURROS! Eventually, the appetizers started rolling out. Like I said, Covid made everything funky so we didn't blame the guys. The food was good. No big deal. At the end, one of the managers brought us a round of tequila shots for the table. It's a unique place and the music is bumpin'. We still had a good time. Just tried this new Taco Dive. This is an off shoot restaurant from the owner of Kiki's On the River. Really good eats for less than you would expect. I enjoyed the short rib taco and although the servings are small (2 tacos) I was filled with two orders. Definitely a good place for quick eats and a window seat to watch the crowds, as this area is become ever so popular with tourists and locals. They also have about 8 sauces to try on the side, be wary some are really hot!! Looks like the restaurant next door will be open soon with a bar. For now it's just a beer offering. The manager, Alex, does a great job keeping things moving along and ensuring the quality of service/food is being delivered. Kudos to him for staying on top of things. I got to check out El Santo on a Saturday night and it was packed! The decor is on point, i think they did a great job accommodating limited space, and the result is a cozy, fun environment. They have an 'El Chapo' doll, luchadores masks, candles, and many other mexican classics. The menu is a bit limited, however they do have a good selection of mexican beer- wish they had 'Indio'. The food was OK, i was looking forward to tacos al pastor, but they seemed to be pulled pork covered with all pastor sauce. Not really what i expected. Also tried the beef flautas- delish! We were pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this place while in the search for a good taco Tuesday deal. I had been wanting to try something new outside of our normal spots and the combo of the aesthetics of this place and sign outside reading $3 tacos $5 margaritas really intrigued us. She finally looked at us and rolled her eyes when we tried to order as well as when someone asked what would she recommend. We finally had to place orders with another lady at the counter. The food came out really quickly and was full of flavor. Our favorites were the shrimp, carne asada and short rib. The did mess up our order but we weren't too concerned with going up to correct it because of the attitudes behind the counter. We explored the salsa bar and there were so many options from salsa verde to diablo. The guacamole was disgusting!
